I've been going here for the last 5 years and no issues at all. I don't have a usual technician here and I didn't recognize the woman who did my eyebrows today but I went today for my usual eyebrow clean up and she completely ruined my eyebrows. I specifically asked for "just a clean up and NOT too thin please" and she completely changed my eyebrow shape, threaded away my eyebrow arch and now my eyebrow is just rounded and droopy. She also made them much thinner than how I came in and threaded too much off of my left eyebrow's tail. It's literally the opposite of what I asked for. Showed them multiple inspiration pictures with the shortest portion of my hair being the lower chest area. They cut my hair into a bob with half my hair starting at the chin area. AVOID! I really wanted to enjoy this experience, but unfortunately it felt very inconsistent and not worth the amount I paid. I originally came in wanting a traditional warm oil head massage and planned to leave the oil in my hair and wash it at home later. The advertised head massage price was around $50, but I was ultimately charged $70 because they said it included a shoulder massage. However, this was never clearly presented to me as a separate add-on service beforehand, so the pricing felt misleading. I was also upsold into additional hair treatment services that honestly did not seem professionally executed. The technicians attempted to apply a hair mask before shampooing, and I had to correct the order myself. After the mask was applied, my hair was placed under dry heat without being wrapped or covered, which ended up drying my hair out rather than moisturizing it. The blow-drying afterward also felt very unprofessional, with the technician mainly using her hands instead of proper styling tools, leaving my hair rough rather than smooth or nourished. The eyebrow threading experience was especially upsetting. I gave very specific instructions to only clean around the brows and not alter the shape, but one technician threaded directly into the center of my eyebrow and created a noticeable indentation, leaving my brows thinner than intended. Thankfully, the owner did step in and try to fix it, which I appreciated. Another serious concern for me was the intensity of the head massage itself. The massage felt overly aggressive at times, and afterward I experienced headaches and vertigo/dizziness symptoms for several days. While I understand everyone's sensitivity is different, I do think stronger pressure should be communicated more carefully, especially around the scalp, neck, and head area. Due to the severity of my sometimes I had to go to urgent care to get evaluated to rule out more serious conditions. I'm still dizzy nauseous and have low blood pressure. Though it's improved since the weekend. Overall, the experience felt much more focused on upselling services than on delivering a relaxing treatment experience. I went to the salon for multiple services. Firstly, the person doing the underarm waxing hurt me and casually told me let's put some powder on it, and no apologies, it was bleeding profusely. Secondly, the lady seemed to profile me and my family. She asked me so so many questions, regarding my personal life and my family, my husband, my kids. She asked me if I had a green card/citizenship, why do you need to ask me that, am here only for salon services. And all the questions asked were ultra personal, which city you live in and why do you come so far for the salon services etc etc. Thirdly, the lady at the front desk didn't give me the receipt. It was provided only when asked. I think other things are ok, but this place looks like a scamming place, profiling customers. Many of the people won't even understand they are doing so and gathering sensitive information about people who come there. I had to cancel due to a sudden, unavoidable family emergency. Since then, getting my money back has been an absolute nightmare. I have called this salon every single day and visited in person multiple times trying to resolve this. I have spoken with staff repeatedly and even reached Mandeep directly, yet she never once returned my calls, despite the fact that my entire appointment was scheduled with her personally. Every time I walk in, I am met with rudeness, deflection, and zero accountability. Staff avoid me, refuse to connect me with anyone who can make a decision, and give me the runaround instead of a straightforward answer. Both Sona (the owner) and Mandeep took my payment and have been completely unreachable ever since. At no point was I clearly informed that this deposit was non-refundable. Withholding $1,500 for bridal services never rendered, after a serious family crisis, is unconscionable. No one should have to fight this hard just to recover their own money. read more

TLDR they do good work, but stick with the employees who have been around for a while and don't let any newer hires do your threading. Khoobsurat is usually my go to salon for threading and I have always left satisfied, until recently. Twice now I have had two different employees who appear to be newer hires do my threading. I'm not opposed to letting someone new do my threading, but the first experience was very painful as the employee seemed to be new at threading. The second experience, while it was not painful, did not end in a good result. I was not given a mirror this time to evaluate the work, but I said it's fine because Khoobsurat employees usually do a great job. But once I got home and looked closer. there was quite a bit of hair left over, shape of my eyebrows was off, and I had cuts near my eye and on my upper lip from the thread. Safe to say I am pretty upset for a customer who has been going to them for 15+ years. Next time I will definitely request someone who has been with the salon for longer. read more

Lots of money grabbers at this salon. So many inconsistencies with pricing. First they say for one hand henna it's $45 and collect a $20 deposit. On the day of the appointment, they said one SIDE is $45. Kept asking me if I had a design. When I showed them they said they will choose a design from their own collection. I showed them another design I wanted. They looked visibly annoyed, shooting me judgy looks. They sent a henna artist who was relatively inexperienced and they kept standing there wondering whether they will be able to do it or not. She asked if I was going to a wedding even when the design I chose was no where near that advanced, further proving her lack of knowledge and experience. At the end she was able to apply the design and it looked nice. It was annoying she kept asking me if I liked it or not. Of course I did, it was the design I wanted! $45 for one side simple design and inexperienced artist is just robbery. We've had other problems at this salon. For one upper lip the lady refused to put any aloe vera or rose water and my skin was burning. My mom insisted but she was ignored. Consistently bad . Went back after several years and see no improvement. Charged 350$ for a facial for my niece which was advertised to be the best blah blah.. just made her skin worse with burns . We now went see a dermatologist who said that the technician was inexperienced and used strong chemicals on the child's skin thus burning it and causing irreversible pigmentation.. soo expensive for nothing. The last time I went there was a couple of years ago. I always went there for Azin . Azin mentioned that she had cancer and they owners treated her very badly. She worked for 15+ years for them . Nobody lasts for even a year there . They were so inhuman. She would have to come work even on the days she had her chemo. They never gave her any time off and made her stand and work. She had to support her family and had no choice. She mentioned that she even collapsed one time and they showed such less concern. It was a very inhuman work environment. I hope she is recovered . I had wanted to get a facial and decided to try Khoobsurat for the first time. I cannot exaggerate the inconvenience I went through. I do not have personal comments on the staff or management but I had to visit the urgent care and see an ophthalmologist after my facial. The massage was done on my eyes and the pressure was so much that particles of the scrub/lotion entered my eyes deeply. My cornea on the right eye sustained deep scratches, my right eye got swollen, continuous discharge and water from my eye. I would not recommend a facial here and expect reimbursement from the salon for charge of my urgent visit and prescription $441. Attaching photos of my eye and doctor's prescription in this review. I had complained about eye pain right after the facial at 6.30 pm and excused it as I thought it would subside overtime. But I had trouble right through the night and had to visit the doctor on emergency the next morning. The doctor got out particles of scrub from my eye and it was painful. I will be having antibiotics for the remaining week. Very bad experience in total. Went for a hair cut and hair spa recently.. my hair cut and hair spa was done within 15 mins- none of the other places I went before did a hair cut in 15 mins it obv takes longer!! hair cut was not that great. I felt like the beautician had a hard time understanding what I wanted... My hair was washed initially then cut, later hair spa and then washed off again.. all they did for hair spa was apply some sort of paste and then the steam for about 15 mins. also when my hair was washed first time, the conditioner was applied and immediately washed off(what's the point of applying conditioner if its immediately washing off).. I thought after hair spa my hair will become nice and smooth but instead it became rough and started irritating.. I paid 115$ for the entire thing but I feel it wasn't much worth.
