Anne is the best! She's kind and professional and will cut hair according to the exact picture you show her. No frills, just a good looking cut at a very good price. She isn't chatty or gossipy at all, which is a plus. She is genuinely kind and considerate. I've lived in Sunnyvale for 20 years, I'm glad I found a hair stylist has precision in cutting my hair and is consistent. Plus she can thread your eyebrows for $10, where can you go that is a one stop shop?!! We are all so busy these days, this service definitely helps. Btw, she's also great with cutting boy/men hair. She did a terrific job with my 14yr olds hair! Thank you Anne! read more

Sumita is the only woman I trust with my eyebrows and facial waxing. She always does such a great job, and I never break out or get any reaction after she waxes my face. And I always get compliments on my eyebrows. The prices are the best you are going to get in South Bay. read more

Anne cut my hair. She did a good job cutting my hard to cut wavy hair. My bangs are difficult to cut, and she did to great job - perfect length and layering (not too much). The cost was reasonable. read more

Just happen to be in the strip mall area eating a couple of doors down. When walking back to my car i noticed Threading !!!! Whooohooo caught my attention ! So I had a little time still on my lunch. I walk in and asked how much $10 for eyebrowns So she asked if I would like it right now sure. why not :) Sunila my Threader was very sweet and concentrate on her threading job. This is the first time Threading so I was unsure of what to expect. I hear doing it this way it last long and they can get the areas that the wax misses you know like over your eye lid. I was presently suprized at my finished product. It was clean shaped very well. I am writing this weeks after and feel that it really does last longer than the ususal wax jobs. Being in my 50's it seems my brows are getting some white hair I talked to Sunila about maybe coming in and getting them dyed. Thank you very much Sunila You have the magic touch. I will be back. Sunil even gave me the hours she works. Sun 10 to 6 Mon 12 to 6 Thur 10 to 4 Frid 10 to 4 read more

Thanks to a good friend who directed me to this place. I absolutely love the service I get at Image. I am usually helped by Anne/ Parul and I think they really know their craft! Finally, a beauty salon where the consultants are thorough professionals and do not give unsolicited advice unless asked for ( and this cannot be said of many of the local beauty salons). Don't you just hate it when the beauty technician doles out advice while working on you- why don't you use honey-it will make your skin firmer? use yoghurt on your hair, lime tones up your skin...etc. etc. Well, thankfully I haven't been subjected to that at Image! Quick tip: Always, always make an appointment before coming in; they are pretty busy almost all the time, and they service customers back-to-back over the weekends! read more

I absolutely love going here for getting my eyebrows done, specifically by Ann. They always turn out to be "on-point" or shall I say "on-fleek"!! ;) I have gone through those threading experiences that just are pure painful and hurting and makes you more mad to think why girls have to thread/wax their eyebrows and be so put-together. I think, all girls have experienced that every time or every other time they go for threading. I was no different, until I found an awesome, god-sent, miracle worker - Ann!! She is the best of the best, when it comes to threading. I had a full overgrown eyebrows. I hadn't been to a beauty salon for more than a month now and my eyebrows were just looking hideous. I was so expecting to cry and be absolute difficult customer when I would get my eyebrows done because I knew its gonna hurt SO bad. And when Ann did my eyebrows, I really don't know how, but it was not painful AT ALL. It was just a tickling sensation level pain but not even close to an overgrown eyebrow threading pain. She was so careful and precise and perfect that it didn't hurt plus I absolutely loved how it came out. I have never had such an amazing threading experience before. I am usually someone who hates the thought of threading and would rather go for waxing. But Ann made threading so less painful. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE her work and skills. If this is your first-time or you are looking for a very painless threading experience, ask for Ann! Clearly, my whole review is for her. read more

This review is for Anne she does the best eyebrow threading in this world! nice thick high arch shaping and doesn't make your eyebrows look too chola - ish thin or make them look like two thick lines. I am on accutane which makes your skin extremely dry and thats what initially turned me onto threading vs. waxing. I will never go back to anyone else or waxing after the great service from Anne. I have tried threading previously at the threading place next to india cash and carry on el camino and by far not as good as Anne. $8 bucks what are you waiting for? better give her a tip, shes way worth it. I've been a customer of Image since 2005 when my co-teacher recommended this Salon. First, it was an Indian Lady who took care of - forgot her name- she was so good for all the service I asked. Sadly she has to go back to India for good. I was referred to Ann by her. Ann 'though back to back skeds she could accommodate me even late minute call up for an appointment. She nurtured me from all threading/ waxing needs. It was just stopped by d tIme I have transferred t another school. Ann's day off was Sunday, I couldn't come during d weekdays where I passed by after work, Saturday either! From then I was in the care of Downer Sugitha- she has a magic touch that no one can replace. I love going to the salon every month, from head to foot I would highly recommend this lady. Thanks for taking care of my needs.needs. read more

Called and made an appointment the same day with Viji. Got there and no one greeted me. I was 5 min early to my appointment so I waited. At my appointment time I had to get someone's attention to let them know I was there. Viji finally took me about 5 min later. Upper lip threading was $5. She was very fast and let me inspect the work. She said I needed to come back in two weeks and was ready to schedule the appointment. I told her that I would call but she kept insisting that I should schedule it now, which turned me off so I didn't schedule a thing. read more

See also Image International Salon ----------------------------------- http://www.imagebeautysalon.com/ Location is in a strip mall, Civic Square shopping center, near Micheal's arts and crafts. Pro's: Loved my eyebrow threading, only $8. Viji did mine and I was in and out in 5 minutes, very fast. She kept showing me in the mirror to check in if I liked it and if I wanted more taken off. Even did a walk up appointment at 5pm on Wednesday and taken right away. Con's: Viji was a little pushy about the next appt., said she will call to remind me in three weeks to upkeep. Surprised they didn't use an antiseptic/astringent to prep the eyes before and after but she did put babypowder on before and aloe lotion on the area afterwards. Will see if I breakout, since I am sensitive. I don't see them washing their hands between clients. My eyes broke out that night, will have to take my own antiseptic next time. read more

I would like to give this place 3.5 -- it's good, not something too special though. I've been here twice now, and I love getting my eyebrows threaded. Freshly threaded eyebrows are my favorite, you can say that I'm addicted! My first visit was with an Indian lady (I think Navina?), and it wasn't that great. She did a fair job cleaning it up but I wanted to fix my shape a bit, but she didn't help much with it. The second time I saw Ann who did a pretty good job. She definitely fixed my shape more closely to what I wanted, and overall I'm happy with how they look now. Otherwise nothing special about customer service or the amount of pain. The price is also average too. I can envision myself coming back, but I have had stellar eyebrow experiences in comparison. This place does a decent job and I think is a safe place to go if you want to avoid any botched eyebrows. read more

Review for haircut by Kokila: Never satisfied with your haircut? Do they always cut it too short? Go to Kokila. She ALWAYS knows what I want my hair to look like. I tell her exactly what I want, and she understands. She always cuts it the length I want, and styles it the way I like it styled. She also always asks about my job and remembers the conversations we have had in the past. She is personable, professional, and efficient. I don't trust anyone else with my hair. I took my sister to Kokila for the first time a few weeks back and she had nothing to say other than how much she loved her hair!!! It was the first time she had her bangs cut the way she wanted. $35 for haircut. Thanks Kokila! read more

I was a walk in and my wait was less than a minute. The threading job was satisfactory, but the customer service leaves something to be desired. My threader answered the phone and booked a new appointment and without advising me of anything she left the chair to assist a co-worker with locating an item. If you just want a quick no fuss threading this place will fit the bill, but if you are used to any level of customer service you will be left wanting. Be sure to have cash on hand. They have a minimum payment for credit/debit cards and an eyebrow threading plus tip won't meet that minimum. read more

I went to this place a month ago in a huge need for upper lip and eyebrows thread. I came in again today, it was another great experience. I did not get the name of the Indian lady who worked on me. Regardless, she was fantastic. I'd recommend this place if you have never been threaded before because this woman takes care of you and makes you feel very comfortable. If you have threaded before, I would still suggest this place. You won't be disappointed. Eyebrows: $10 Upperlip: $5 read more

Went in a few days ago for threading and henna for hair. The lady who usually does this for me (Sanju) was on vacation, so Ann took me. Just wanted to say - stick with Indian/Nepali ladies for Indian type services. My eyebrows were minimally done, and henna was quickly and haphazardly slathered onto my hair which left patches. Very disappointed. It was a waste of time and money. Sanju 5 stars, Ann 1. read more

Ann Ann Ann! Ann is the woman to go to for eyebrows... theres another indian woman who wears glasses a lil older cant remember her name but shes great. I am so appalled by the service at this place it has forced me to write a review. I have had my eyebrows done by a few of the ladies at Image, and Parul is quite amazing, if almost impossible to get an appointment with. Although this place claims to encourage walk-ins, you must schedule an appointment to have the slightest chance of service. It isn't that they are particularly busy, just understaffed and unwelcoming. I arrived on a Saturday at 9:30 just for threading (a 5-minute job) and was told after waiting for 15 minutes that I could come back at 10:45, if I made an appointment. I left, returning (masochist that I am) on Sunday, armed with a book and prepared to wait. I arrived at 3:30 and read my book for 25 minutes before anyone even arrived to the receptionist's desk. At that point I was told no one could take me on for the rest of the day. I did not even receive an apology for this. The lady made it sound like it was my fault. Never. Going. Back. read more

EDIT: Yesterday, I had the most appalling experience with a place of business EVER. Normally, I had been able to walk in to the salon and have someone take care of me right away. Yesterday, they were quite busy, so I sat down and waited...and waited...and waited...for about ten minutes. The waiting part is not what got me. The part that got me was that for those ten minutes, I was COMPLETELY ignored. No one even came over to inform me that they were completely booked and that they could schedule an appointment for me another day (which is what people usually do, right?). Two women finished with their clients, and one spent her time making a phone call to what sounded like a friend and the other spent her time cleaning up. Neither of these two women (who SAW me sitting there, because they definitely looked at me) did as little as shout across the salon to tell me that they were full for the day. It was the absolutely rudest situation that I have ever experienced and I will never go back to that place. I have deleted my previous review, because this experience was that bad. read more

This review is for Archana - She does not know how to listen to the customer when she cuts your hair. I exactly told her what I dont want, and still it turned out not to my liking. Eyebrows - she does an ok job. But you need to point out at the end some stray hairs she left out. She is rude and will point out if you have pimples or if you have great hair, will tell you how they fall off when you will grow old. Mohita - Good Haircuts. Rude comments at the end. Naveena- She was a gem. Sad that she left the place. Perfection in whatever she did. I miss her. Its high time I find a new beauty salon. read more

Anne cut my hair yesterday, she did an excellent job in shaping and finishing my hair. Reasonably priced, I'm very satisfied. I appreciated the cleanliness and the air-conditioning. I will definitely come back. read more

Anne threaded my eyebrows. I was in the area. Easy parking. $10. I did have to wait a bit during the weekday but it wasn't too bad.

This place is horrible. They ask u to wait and then they tell u we can't take you for an hour. What a waste of time. Plus they are so rude.

I haven't tried other hair dressers or waxing specialists. I have been using Parul since last one year and she has been amazing. I always do my standard stuff - henna for my long hair and arms-legs waxing. She spends about an hour and a half to do it. I enjoy chatting with her and she does a really good job coloring my hair and taking care of my needs. She works only on weekends, but I make sure that to book her quite in advance, since I do not want anyone else taking care of my waxing and hair services. She's the best! read more

This review is for eyebrow threading with Anne, haven't had anything else done here. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded by Anne for over 6 months now.I chose her based on the reviews. While she has been good about accommodating same day appointments and usually does an ok job, I felt that over time, the quality and service has deteriorated. While she has hardly interacted or engaged with me after the cursory 'hello', over the past few months, she usually has her earphones on while threading( couple of times it has been so loud that I could hear the music) and goes right back to watching her movie/video on her laptop, even before I can pay( no aloe gel, no massaging as some older reviews have mentioned). They don't even have a box of tissue anywhere in sight! She messed up the shape of one of my eyebrows once ( not surprisingly, as she had her earphones on), and I didn't realize it until after I left. When I called her, though she asked me to come back and offered to take a look/fix it, she refused to acknowledge that the shape was messed up, when I went back later ( even my husband noticed it & so did another friend! ). There were no apologies and she sounded annoyed that I was unhappy about her job. What surprised me was that it didn't seem like it mattered if she lost a regular customer. I am going to find a new salon. Its sad that they don't seem to care about business/customers. read more

I was recently here for eyebrow threading. I just chanced upon this place online and being new to Bay Area I wanted to try an Indian place since I am used to the threading of eyebrows as opposed to waxing them. Although the overall rating on Yelp was not as much as I would have liked it to be (4-5 stars) I decided to give it a shot based on good reviews written about Anne. I called her a day before and she conveniently accommodated me fin her schedule. I was running late for the appointment next day so she was flexible enough to delay my appointment. I reached around 7 pm and the salon was not too crowded and was pretty clean. There was just one other person being helped by an Indian lady who works there. Anne was very polite and pretty good with the threading and I did not experience any cuts or bleeding. That's a huge plus for me since many that I have come across do not thread properly. She also listened to me about how I wanted my brows done. And she shaped them pretty well. And yes, no random chit chat or unnecessary suggestions from her (a plus since I dislike random banter/suggestions from the stylists who just want to make more money) I was out in 15 min. My total was 12$ with 2$ tip, all in cash. For now I am giving them 5 stars based on the 1st experience. When I try this place again, I shall update my review and rating. read more
