I was a little confused because he started mapping out my eyebrows which I've never had someone do that for threading before. Ive gotten my eyebrows threaded for years and never had someone cut my eyelid and the thread kept snapping. I didn't say anything as first because i thought it was microscopic but it got more painful especially when removing my eye makeup...other than that the staffs were very nice but i wouldn't come here again and pay $20 for threading when other places charge $14 and won't cut my eyelid. read more

Okay, this is long overdue but I just haven't had time to sit down and review about places lately. However, I knew I couldn't let this go. This review is based on my first and only experience back in October 2017. I usually give brow places a chance, but this is by far thee worse service I've had in the last 3 years of getting my brows threaded. I wasn't sure if I was going to have time to go to a place I've gone to before, so I was willing to give this place a shot since it was close to where I work. Seemed promising. Like I said, I usually give places the benefit of the doubt. Created small talk with the lady who did my brows and she was sweet. BUT once she was done and was about to show me, she said something about how I can "fill the other brow" or so (I don't remember anymore)...ONE BROW WAS WAY THINNER THAN THE OTHER. Never been so upset in a service, especially with a special event following up. In my opinion I couldn't really complain to her (even though my friends suggestive I should've) because it's not like she can give me back the rest of my brow. The other one was pretty decent. To unprofessional response claiming this is a fake review: Last time I paid tip separate from the $13.50 and the two stars was for the lack of instruction and un-even/sub-par brow job. I omitted the bleeding because I know some people have sensitive skin. But thanks for the discount if mens brows was $15. Came back to this place for myself on a Saturday because it's the closest place to me and I needed something last minute --and maybe they just have a harder time with men brows... but this is definitely the last. The job was still sub-par and one side is thinner than the other. My brows are not symmetrical so I usually have them clean one side and shape the other to that side. I would still give this place 2-3 stars but for that salty response, I took off 1. MAIN TAKE-AWAY: Looking at the photos I would say that there is more than one person hired to thread, and the newer hire was probably the one that does uneven brow jobs with lack of service. I got a younger employee both times, but I think all the better reviews were for the older lady who owns the place? So maybe if you're lucky you'll get her, or maybe if you have brows that are easily cleaned you'll be fine. read more

This was my first time coming here and ended up choosing this place after the raving reviews on Yelp. I called while I was already on my way there and they were able to have me in right away. Parking was easy off of Hope street. and the whole threading process was surprisingly painless. I have gotten my eyebrows threaded before and had prepared myself for the pain (especially considering it has been over a year since I've gotten them done) and was shocked with how quick and painless it was. I mentioned I just wanted them cleaned up and to keep them thicker and I got exactly that. I left the studio with eyebrows that looked great and shaped how I wanted. First - I have to put out there, that this is one of those places that offers discounts for a 5 star Yelp review. This automatically makes me question the Yelp rating. Second - here's my review: This place is pretty average. I came here pretty often when I used to live in Mountain View. I mainly came because it was close to my house, cheap, and they never messed up my eyebrows. They simply got the job done. Nothing terrible. But - there's also nothing great about it. I've had my eyebrows done and been much happier with the shape/cleanup job. I feel like this place is more painful than other threading places (not sure if it's their technique or what), and the friendliness of the staff is average. I would recommend this place as a backup if you really needed to get your brows threaded and for a good price. But definitely nothing to rave about. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst threading experience of my life. I'm an esthetician who enjoys getting my eyebrows waxed or threaded. After this experience, NO ONE will be touching my brows except for me for a long time. I thought the threader was doing a good job, as she was taking her time. But, after she was done I looked in the mirror and saw the huge chunk missing! I told her specifically, "I only want a clean up. I don't want them any thinner." After I showed her the hole in my brow, she tried to say it was there already. I then informed her I am an esthetician and know my brows. I pay close attention to them. Definitely was NOT there before. She then said she should just take off the extra hairs so you wouldn't see the hole. So then my brow could be super thin?! No thanks!!! Beware of this place! Cheap & quick service! I'm pretty lazy about getting my eyebrows done so when I finally decided to get them done, I had pretty messy brows. The end result made my eyebrows look a lot cleaner than when I pluck myself or get my eyebrows waxed. I had no stray leftover hairs that you are left with when waxing, and there was a clean brow definition compared to when I pluck myself! The salon is located inside a hallway. The sign does not say "Eyebrow Threading Mountain View", but it is the right place! I was seated immediately. Painless threading (3rd time ever doing threading) except my eyes involuntarily teared up. But it really didn't hurt! Total was $17 for eyebrow & upper lip threading. Waxing is very painful. Light is pretty dark inside the waxing room. The lady is very rough and tough while doing waxing. I got bad patches on my under arms after waxing. Plus many hairs were their even after waxing. I won't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I wouldn't go for waxing here again - the back room they used and the wax didn't seem very sanitary and it caused me to break out (which I don't typically do). Their eyebrow threading has been fine though - sometimes a wait, but I haven't had any issues with the final results. Have gone back for threading. read more

You have to go inside a separate entrance that leads you to a hallway. The door is on your left. I naturally have thick eye brows. I was hoping the lady would only clean them up. I told her to please leave them as thick as possible. However, when she was done I was in absolute shock. She had threaded them way too much!! I have never have had my eyebrows so thin. Besides that they are not even. One is arched and the other is more straight. She might have been in a hurry, however, if I knew she didn't have time I would have just went somewhere else. I will never go back! Pro: 1) Inside of salon seemed clean 2) no wait time Con: 1) Location seemed sketchy. It was hard to find the salon because it is inside a plaza and there wasn't a big sign for the place. 2) I got so many skin tears after the threading. I have a outline of skin tears on my right eyebrow. 3) I could smell what the lady had for lunch the entire time she was working on my brows. I would not recommend.
