Still my go to spot!! They remodeled a bit and have a new guy who does beautiful designs. They offered tea and coffee which was very sweet and the staff are always pleasant! I've been trusting Pinky Nails Salon and Kathy with my nails for over a decade. I prefer Kathy she is hands-down the best manicurist I've ever had. She's someone special--not just for her incredible talent, but for her warmth, consistency, and attention to detail. She always deliver perfection. She has an amazing eye for color and trends. I like Pinky Nails! The salon is always clean and relaxing, and the staff is friendly. They pay great attention to detail, and my nails always look perfect. Last time, I wasn't happy with how one of the staff did my nails, so today I had the chance to speak with the owner--she was so kind and welcoming, and personally fixed everything for me. I got a refill gel set and a pedicure, and I'm really happy with the results. Highly recommend! read more

I initially went in here to get a Gel-X fill and they don't do that. But I got a gel fill there anyway because I work all week and was limited on time. The owner/manager did my nails with cat eye and I felt it came out good and was reasonably priced. The second time I went there she was not there. I came early, there was barely anyone in there and even though I had an appointment they didn't take me right away. Then I decided to bring all my own colors because when I was there they were limited with the colors they do have. The pedicure I had though good, the nail tech was rough with my feet and cutting me in between my toes which I did not appreciate. The tech working on my hands basically had no idea how to do any design. I had cat eye before and wanted rainbow cat eye and she couldn't do it. I spent almost $100 dollars for the two services I had because they nickel a dimed me for everything. They also didn't give me the up front price, if you go here ask first because they won't tell you. There are much better places to go around the area that have better trained people. Steer clear if you like designs because there not trained to do it. read more

Ive been looking for a good mani pedi salon for a while now, and tried Pinky's. Great spa - very clean workstation, great choice of colors, good for groups if you plan to d this with your girl friends, great staff consistently good pedis for me an my friends, decent prices and I loved their pedicures. My friends and I came to Pinky Nail Spa to keep off a bachelorette evening for my friend. We made reservations for around 2pm. When the 5 of us arrived, they had a nail technician for each us. They began the bride off with her manicure, while the rest of us started on our pedicure. Overall, the experience was lovely. I enjoyed my pedicure and manicure. My manicure came out better than I had expected. There are options for more treatments for the manicure and pedicure, but I went for a standard pedicure with a gel manicure. It came out to around $50 for both. I dropped a star only because there was a little issue with the nails for the bride as her glossy tips were a little sloppy. Though this was partially because my friend couldn't exactly decide what nails she wanted for her wedding. TL;DR - I liked it here & I'd come back. read more

I often get compliments from friends and even strangers on my nails all thanks to Pinky Nails Spa. I've been going to this family owned shop since its first location on Blaney. My gel manicure and pedicure last until my next appointment even though I do a lot of gardening. It is so wonderful to be pampered by these professional and talented ladies in a clean environment. What makes this spa stands out is I witness a customer accidentally leaving her wallet behind . Since that customer's phone number wasn't available, the owner Cindy called the Santa Clara deputy right away to ensure that the customer got her wallet back. Nice to know that you have the back of these wonderful manicurists. Thank you Cindy, Cammy, Mimi, Lisa and Anh. Nina did such a good job on my nails!!! From the start Nina helped me choose a perfect light pink for my tips. I had a set done poorly before and she happily worked over it. She matched the pink acrylic color with the one I wanted (after choosing between 2 very similar ones). It was too pink for my liking and Nina recommended putting a peachy nude gel color over it which made it the perfect nude color for me! you can't even tell there is a gel color over it. I was really impressed with her problem solving skills and her patience since I am a really picky person when it comes to my nails. I am so happy w the end product. The only reason I couldn't give a 5 star review is because once the acrylic got to drying I had a very irritating burning sensation on 3/10 of my nails. It was super weird and usually I can withstand the pain but it was really annoying when she would work over them so I had to say something. Luckily, she attended to my needs and sprayed my nails w an alcohol that helped sooth the burning sensation (although not completely getting rid of it). read more

I'm so disappointed for the waste of my time and money. How can you charge $25 for mani that a child can do? Seriously, no offense but if you do this every day, why can't you improve your skills? It just feels like a random person from the street walked in and got hired to color nails. This is how you get low score on Yelp. This my family's go to place for gel manicure. It's an extremely reasonable price and we always feel like they do a great job. They patiently help us choose colors, try on colors, and make sure we are happy with our result Update: originally had this place as 5 stars but changed it to 3. My nails started to chip within days and my mother had large patches of nail polish chipping in a week. Have never had my nails chip so quickly at any other salon. read more

On a Wednesday afternoon, I walked in. Originally I wanted a regular manicure but one of the nail techs said gel lasted longer so I got gel. Most nail salons charge 45 for a gel manicure and going in, I knew they charged 30. Although the price was lower, I wanted to see if the service was just as good, better or worst. My nail tech took an hour to do my nails but most places only take 40 minutes. In addition, one of the other nail techs showed my nail tech how to apply the gel polish. I paid for what I got but would go again! They have other colors I want to try! read more

So after my last mishap, and Nancy fixing up my pedicure, I've gone back many times and always make my appointment with Nancy. If Nancy's not there, I won't go. A year later, no mishaps. They've recently moved to Stevens Creek and near De Anza Blvd, right next door to Lee's Sandwiches. The place seems so much brighter, cleaner, and bigger. It's very long, and the chairs and stations are all new. Since they're so popular, this space is definitley necessary. I would recommend making an appointment, especially on a weekend. There was an older lady who was griping that she had to wait 45 minutes, and when I came in after her, she asked if I had an appointment. Of course, DUH. There was a party of 5, a mother and daughters and daughter's friends there at the same time as me. One of the girls was quite obnoxious, and I am even more annoyed as I saw that teenage girl open the door of their Tahoe, hit my car door, and take off. Now I have a dent and white paint marks on a fairly new car. Damper to my pedicure. I wish I would've ran out and said something. So be warned, although the parking lot is not tight, might be best to not park right in front of the shop. read more

I was looking for a budget-friendly place for my hair type since many shops charge $120+ for a haircut, and I'm a college student. What drew me to MC Salon was the google reviews about Wendy specializing in layered haircuts and used scissors to cut hair. I have previous trauma from a terrible cut where a person cut my hair dry with a razor... I waited for some time to post this review to cool off because I did not want to write an angry review. I first went to Wendy on 2/19, telling her that I wanted a trim, face framing layers, and physically showed her how much I wanted her to cut off. She was gentle and thorough with the hair wash and I liked the blow out style of my hair. I didn't expect her to cut my hair that short, but I was ok with short hair and my hair looked nice styled. She told me she ended up cutting more than usual since my hair was super thick (I wished she asked before). Anyways, I washed my hair 3 days later and noticed unevenness around the face framing layers. So I called if I can come back for a fix. I still liked my hair at this point, just needed a minor fix. There was one thing I did not like about the first visit is that Wendy kept commenting how dry my hair was and told me I should use hair masks. I told her at the beginning of the appointment that I washed my hair at my boyfriend's place and didn't have access to my hair products-- that's why it was dry. Even though I told her that, she still made comments on the dryness throughout the process. I ignored the comments since Wendy was nice and we had a pleasant conversation throughout. Going back for a 2nd cut is where things went wrong. When I showed Wendy pictures of the unevenness, she said it was because my hair was parted differently. I guess my natural middle part is off centered, so when she cut my hair, she split in the middle evenly. I'm not sure if that's the true reason, but it sounds plausible. It's just strange because I had this parting for 6 years and never experienced this unevenness for face framing. Wendy went to fix my hair following my natural part and also fixed other parts of my hair to be even. She also offered to style it, which I thought was nice. She only lightly styled it and when I saw my hair I thought it was ok looking, but didn't say anything because I didn't want her to cut more hair. When I got into my car to get a closer look, thats when I noticed how much hair she cut, how choppy, & unblended it was.... Clearly it was not face framing layers and she made my bangs SUPER thick. This is when I started to relive my hair trauma and became emotional. I instantly called off work to go somewhere else to fix my hair because I hated my hair so much. The person couldn't do much since my hair was so short and she took pictures of my hair to show it was still uneven. She tried to make it as blended as possible. This experience damaged my self esteem to the point where I had to style my hair every single day or else it would look choppy. Now I have lot of hair damage again. Now that my hair is a bit longer, I no longer style my hair everyday. I just wished Wendy took more accountability instead of blaming it on my natural hair parting. I still don't understand why she cut so much hair the 2nd time. The pictures explain my situation and I will not come back. The cut was $65 and I tipped $10, so I spent $75 on this hair. I think if you have natural pin straight hair or thinner hair, MC Salon may be for you. But for super thick, coarse that is dry with some texture, MC Salon is not for you. I regret my decision and wished I splurged on a higher end salon. I'm only giving this place 2 stars, which is very generous, because of the pleasant experience I had on my first visit. Please note that I did not ask for a refund because I think place still deserves business, just not from me.

I do not recommend service where customer requests are actively ignored.
