A girlfriend and I decided to do a spa day. I had no idea where to go, but she suggested Ritual. I found two appointments on their website and booked them a few weeks prior. You must hold the appts with a CC, but no deposit is needed. Parking was pretty easy to find. I found parking right away across the street. We started off with my massage therapist asking what type of pressure I prefer. I said I like it hard. No pain, no gain. Get those knots out. And since I work at a computer all day, I told her I carry a lot of tension in my neck shoulders. After voicing that, I did find my massage felt more like a relaxing swedish massage. The pressure wasn't that hard. One thing I did note, they start on your feet but don't wash their hands afterwards when they move on to the rest of you. I kinda found that a little weird. I mean, I did just shower before I showed up, but still. I will never say no to a massage so glad my gf and I did this. Tho I wish I spoke up more during the massage. **Add-on to my review after the owner's response: they did reach out after my second attempt to explain that: "So sorry we missed your call. I just finished with my client so let me know if there's something I can help you with", and I didn't bother to respond because I had no reason to since I was already home with another product. The whole new procedure of placing the product on hold and arranging time to pick up should be included in the greeting of the call to inform all customers that this is how you operate from now on. Or a simple instruction placed on the door would help. It had to take this second review for me to finally get some explanation about the lack of staff and instruction of how to order products moving forward. **************** Third time is a charm! I'm definitely not coming back here to purchase anything. It's sad that a place like this can't afford hiring a receptionist. They have to lock the door every time they are in session. I previously came here twice on different days and times to purchase products, but they were in session both times. Hence, I had to go home empty handed. My husband told me to come on the third time, and guess what, same thing happened, they are in session and still no receptionist. Unbelievable! I had time to fill out a form and also use their restroom before my massage therapist Michele introduced herself and brought me to our treatment room. Room is cozy and with rock music playing throughout. Hook for your jacket and chair for your bag and clothes. Michele had a great touch and checked in with me multiple times. She really focused on my problem areas which I greatly appreciated. I didn't want my face massaged so she focused on my carpal tunnel concern at the end. Amazing as always! Really appreciated the cleanliness, punctuality, and professionalism. Small touches really matter too and Ritual Day Spa has great attention for detail. For example, during a massage, when the masseuse tries not to engage the person in too much or any conversation but just observes how they respond to pressure points, etc that is extremely considerate so that the person receiving the massage can focus on relaxation, it is such a kindness. Additionally, something small like wiping any oils off the person's feet so that they do not fall or trip after a massage is very practical and safe. Everything they do is appreciated by me. It's been awhile since I had a facial as I was keeping at bay due to the climate of Covid. My friend recommended this spa and also recommended Ashley for facials, she's her go-to. I made an appointment online and provided all the information needed. I arrived a smidge early today since it was recommended when it's your first time. When I first walked in I was greeted right away, this is always important. I filled out the one pager before my appointment, which covers information about any problem areas, allergies etc... Soon after I completed I was greeted by Ashley who escorted me to the room. The room was very clean and had nice spa decor and the spa bed was very comfortable. When Ashley came in after I changed I went over a few problem areas on my face, I even mentioned when I had extractions on my nose last time at a different spa I found it super painful so she was attentive about this. Ashley was super nice and we had a great conversation throughout the session. Felt like I was hanging with a friend rather than a stranger. She was even able to gently extract my pores on my nose with no pain! One of the masks she used I really enjoyed and I even left purchasing a couple of products that were used during my session. It pains me to update this to a negative review. I want to start by saying that everyone is incredibly kind and friendly. I've been coming here for years, Erin was spectacular and I was incredibly sad when she left. Amelia is also a star! Honestly I love her and would recommend her for anything, truly. Now, I am changing this review because of my pretty poor experience with the rest of the staff, especially my most recent appointment with Ellie, that I took while my usual person was out. I truly don't think she should be doing any brazillians. The wax got stuck numerous times, and the entire thing hurt like crazy. Not to mention, I left with wax still on in chunks and ended up shaving as soon as I got home. It was a horrendous experience. read more

Therapist went straight into deep pressure without warming any of my muscles up, I was tense from the pain and she didn't read any of my body language until I told her she was using too much pressure in sensitive muscle areas. Used elbows on my calves which was uncomfortable and tight the next day after service. Didn't get any real relief from the massage just aggravated muscles. I felt I gave enough details of what I was wanting and being a massage therapist myself for over 10 years felt it wasn't heard and she just worked in the routine she is used too. read more

I've been going here since August 2022 (so almost a year!) for facials and massages and it was a goal of mine to try out each of the estheticians and massage therapists to find the perfect fit for me. I always get the deep pore cleansing facial and I've had it with Amealia, Elle, Shawna, and Ariel. My favorite is Amealia! She's gentle but effective with her extractions and she's also a licensed massage therapist so when she massages my neck and shoulders as part of the facial, it feels sublimmeee. I also really like Shawna who's really good at extractions. She's not afraid to use a bit more pressure to tackle those extractions and I feel like my nose looks visibly unclogged after my facials with her. As for massages, I've had both the deep tissue and swedish massages and I've had them with Cathi, Melanie, Michele, and Sheila and Cathi is my all-time fave! After getting a massage from each of the massage therapists there, I've come to realize that everyone has different techniques and specialties and Cathi has been a perfect fit for me. My problem area is the knots in my shoulder and Cathi has developed a wonderful routine for me whenever I come in to see her. I always get the hot stone add-on since the heat helps to loosen the muscles in the shoulders and using the stone helps work out some of the knots in there (as opposed to just using your bare hands). Cathi also uses a heating pad for my shoulders while she works on the other areas of my body. Cathi is unbelievably amazing!! I can't gush enough about her. What I really like about Cathi is that she really listens when I tell her about my problem areas and always makes sure to check in with me about the pressure she's using. I also like getting massages with Melanie since her specialty is the neck/jaw area and I've noticed that my jaw can get tight sometimes due to me clenching my teeth, but my go-to girl is Cathi! To give some guidance to a first-timer who's considering coming here for a facial/massage and wants to know what to expect, once you enter the store, you're greeted by Taylor (the receptionist who's very nice and helpful when booking appointments!), you'll wait until your esthetician/massage therapist is ready for you. Then you'll be led to your room. Soft rock music is the default music but you can ask for traditional spa music (I always do this since I find lyrics distracting when I'm trying to relax). If you're getting a massage, you're given privacy to strip down to your underwear and lie on the massage table underneath the blanket. If you're getting a facial, you strip the upper half of your body and you're given this towel wrap with snap buttons that you put on so the esthetician has access to your decolletage and shoulders (since you'll be getting this area massaged as part of your facial). There are also complimentary aromatherapy options you can choose from (I think there are 5 different scents?) and you'll get to experience the aromatherapy at the beginning and at the end of your massage when your massage therapist asks you to inhale and exhale 3 deep breaths at the beginning and end of your massage. If you're getting different services back-to-back (ie massage followed by facial), you'll put all of your stuff in a provided basket and after you're done with one service, you'll put on the provided robe and take your basket with you to the next room for your next service. read more

Had the best deep tissue massage from Amelia. She listened to what my issues were and worked on those areas extra hard. She checked in to make sure that she was not hurting me and that it was a good pressure. Best of all, she was only doing about a 7 of 10, so she could go even deeper if need be. Loved the aroma therapy choices, it was tough picking one because they all sounded delightful. I went with the relaxation scent that had blend of lavender and another scent I cannot remember, because I was too relaxed to function afterwards. I also enjoyed the music that was playing during the massage. It was mellow rock instead of your typical spa music. I could see some people not liking it, but I absolutely loved it. They will change to more traditional music upon request. the spa was clean and the girl working at the front dest was friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. I enjoy getting the 90 minute champagne and roses massage with Melanie. I enjoy the ambiance, the music and the friendliness of the staff. Melanie is a gem and is very attentive. She's very kind and caring and gives a fantastic massage. As a nurse, I need decompression and help with untangling knots and stress from the demands of the job and Melanie is excellent at acommodating that. Highly recommend the champagne and roses massage. Amealia did wonders for my back during my massage. I admit, I was terrified to come in. Everyone talks about going to the spa as their one way to relax, but I was having anxiety just thinking about coming because I had signed up for a deep tissue massage for the first time. It was my bad for going on Google and reading up on horror stories of the pain and agony people would undergo to feel back relief. Amealia was the kindest and sweetest person. She heard my concerns out and my worries and made sure to address them. She customized the massage to target my areas of concern and constantly checked on pressure and pain for me. She talked to me throughout the entire time and I felt myself become more comfortable and at ease. Yes, there were moments where the pressure did feel painful, but it never got to the point where it was unbearable like the stories I read online how sounded. At the end of the massage, I was feeling a little tender, but as the day went on, the chronic pain I had been feeling for the past month dissipated. As a "guy", getting a facial cleaning (is that the right way to describe it?) is very daunting. Especially when you don't think you need one, but your friend says it's a good time. I visited Ritual and was helped my Erin, and overall the feeling was fantastic. The venue was very clean, the staff welcoming and professional. They constantly were discussing any questions I had at my pace, which made me feel less worried or hesitant about whatever I was about to endure. Overall, I can't speak to how my facial compared to other places, since it was my first one. However I can say that my complexion is cleaner/nicer, and the entire experience was wonderful. I visited Ritual today for a dermaplaning facial with Julie and OMG!!! My skin is the smoothest it's ever been. She performed the dermaplane with a butterfly scalpel. I felt the brushing most on my cheekbones but the rest of it was super relaxing, no irritation at all. She scraped away all the rough dead skin layer and little hairs. After, she went through all the normal elements of a facial, including extraction, face mask and finally moisturizer, etc. Julie is so easy and fun to talk to. She really knows her stuff when it comes to the skin, like down the chemistry of the products. She's also lighthearted and an active listener. I'm prone to redness and irritation after a traditional facial. After today's dermaplaning, my skin is evenly toned, smooth, bright. Absolutely love it and I will for sure be back!! read more

I asked for medium because I didn't feel particularly tense, normally I go for firm. This place is elegant, chic and has a cool rock vibe as you can see from the yelp photos. They have a photo booth set up for celebrations, mimosas & fresh fruit. The rooms have mixed nuts, chocolate and water. They really accommodate your needs and provide exceptional service. It is right in downtown Campbell so close to bars, restaurants & more. I definitely plan on coming back whenever I want to treat myself and try their facial. My husband and I had a couples massage from last year's Christmas gift from the kids. My masseuse was Chris. He was great! He was gentle and soft spoken, but got the kinks out of my shoulders. I chose the relaxation aromatherapy and it really made me calm. The floors appear to be rustic laminated wood planks. The door was a sliding barn door which leads to the hallway which matched the floor. It was such a nice calming front of the spa. I'm no stranger to facials, and although extractions can be painful, I was always left with glowing, healthy skin. Unfortunately, my first facial at Ritual left my skin in a much worse state then when I entered. Today marks 1 week since my facial, and my skin is still trying to recover. Let me start off with the positives: the salon was clean and relaxing, with a fun rocker vibe. Customer service was friendly. Now the negatives: I don't want to "name and shame" because my esthetician seemed like a genuinely nice person. But she was super rough on my skin, and would frequently narrate her procedures with an air of insecurity, once exclaiming "wow .. ok ..that's a lot of blood". I walked out of the facial looking like I had the chicken pox - a look that has persisted to this day, 7 days after my facial. I have "after photos", but honestly those are too embarrassing to share on yelp at the moment. I'm just thankful I didn't do this facial before a big event, and that I'm still somewhat young that my skin can (hopefully) bounce back from procedures gone wrong. I'm praying there will be no scarring. Overall, I wouldn't write this place off, but I WOULD do your research on your esthetician before booking. I did a last-minute booking without preference, and in retrospect, I now realize the esthetician I had was not mentioned in Ritual's many positive Yelp reviews. TLDR: Facials can really mess up your face. Do your research, find an esthetician you can trust! read more

I had a fabulous two session with Brenda, her facial technique and brow skills are amazing- I even got recommendations on how to grow out my brows so it looks even better. I'm really impressed by the spas setup, customer service is very friendly, and the owner Julie was also amazing, She also gave me a product recommendation when I mentioned I was concerned with my dry legs. And I tried the product for just one week and instantly my legs are much smoother now. The product is a body lotion- I will post the pic when I get the chance. I wanted to start treating myself to monthly facials. I requested an appointment with Ashley and from the beginning she made me feel super comfortable. Especially during times of covid-, she made sure to reassure me everything was clean and she would be taking her own Per cautions for her own safety. She greeted me and walked me to my room. Informed me of what I could use to change into and that should would step out to give me my own privacy to get comfy. About 5min later, She came and was going over my chart. She explained to me what she was going to do and had made some suggestions. Next thing you know, an hour had been up and it's time to leave. this was my first but can guarantee not my last time at the ritual day spa! i treated myself to an amazing prenatal massage for my birthday. the atmosphere and check in process was fantastic. my massage was done by Michelle. Michelle was awesome! she knew just the right pressure and found trouble areas that i wasn't even aware of until she started working her magic. this was without a doubt the fastest 90 minutes of my life! i cannot wait to schedule my next appointment and have already begun recommending friends and family to them! One note would be that although you can't check in early, give yourself at least 5 minutes to find parking. i went on a weekday at 1140 am and it took me 5-10 minutes to find a 2-hour spot. there's no lot, only street parking and many of the nearby restaurants have outdoor dining which takes up a lot of the original street parking spots. read more
