I've been to korean spa in the past but it was my first time coming to this place. If it is your first time coming here, they do a tour of the place after you pay at the register. There are two levels. Downstairs are where co-ed area which you will need to wear the clothes provided. The downstairs includes dining area where you can order food or drinks or you can go to any of the rooms which include clay, salt, jade, and cold. You can lounge around in the open space too if you want to. For the upstairs is where the other amenities. Both men and women room are separated of course. The amenities room upstairs includes dry and wet sauna, showers, hot jacuzzi, cold pool....this is also where you get your scrubbing....you have to be fully nude when using these services. I had the 60 minutes which is 30 minutes scrubbing and 30 minutes of massage/face mask/hair wash. They will scrub every inch of the body. There is also common area of the massage chairs. Probably will come here next time

I've come here usually once or twice a year and usually bring out of towners. It's a nice place for a girls day (and if you're fine potentially seeing eachother naked). No swimwear/underwear in the sauna/pool area. They limit you to five hours at one time and you can literally spend five hours there and more because they have food there as well. Nice place to come and relax!

We were greeted with very friendly service and given a tour of the facility upon arrival. The spa has two floors and three special rooms: a salt room, clay room, ice room, plus a heated floor lounge and a food/dining area. We shared japchae, donkatsu, and a kalbi combo plate between the three of us, huge portions and absolutely delicious. Korean spa food can sometimes be hit or miss with sweetness, but theirs was perfectly balanced and not too sweet at all. Upstairs has all the typical spa amenities: showers, steam room, dry sauna, hot jacuzzi, and cold plunge pool. Note that no clothing is allowed in the bath/sauna area, which is standard for Korean spas. Toiletries are provided (including toothbrushes), and there are blow dryers, lotion, and hairspray available as well. My only minor critique: the towels were quite thin and a bit ragged, and I was given one full-size towel and two small towels, which wasn't quite enough for the entire visit. My sister and friend did the 90-minute scrub and massage, which they said was excellent. I opted to relax in the sauna and also spent time in the full-body massage chair lounge, which was great. We arrived early at 10am, so it wasn't crowded at all, but it definitely picked up around noon and later. The price was well worth it, and with admission you can stay up to five hours. We stayed the full five and the time flew by. This was our first visit, and we truly enjoyed it. We're already planning to return for another day spa experience. Ample parking available. Highly recommend!

Writing from the massage chair as I wrap up my first visit -- and I am already a regular. This place was a Mother's Day gift, and what a gift it was. I came in for a 90-minute Vital Premium Scrub and left completely transformed. First, the space itself: spotlessly clean, with none of the black mold issues I've seen creeping into older spas in the Saratoga area. That alone is a relief. I was lucky enough to be assigned to Young, and she is in a class of her own. Small but telling detail: she uses a gel face pillow so you can lay face-down comfortably the entire session. If you've had enough massages, you know how much a folded towel starts to hurt after an hour. I asked if this was a house standard -- it's not, it's just her. That kind of thoughtfulness sets the tone for everything. Her scrub technique was the best I've experienced in 20 years. No exaggeration. Her massage hit every trigger point without me having to redirect her once -- pressure, focus, timing -- all dialed in perfectly. The front desk staff were equally impressive: warm, attentive, and they personally walk new guests through the space so you never feel lost. The one area with room to grow: the aftercare products in the drying area. Having visited spas in Palo Alto, and even facilities in South East Asia, I've come to appreciate a quality face lotion and hair cream post-scrub -- especially when you're not carrying your own. A small upgrade there would make this truly flawless. Also worth noting: there's a communal lounge with 30 minutes of complimentary massage chairs, laptop workspace, and free WiFi. Hidden gem. ANDDD there's a cafeteria!! This is my new favorite spa. Hands down.

Went here with a coed group and spent about 4 hours (max time is 5). Day passes are $40, and they give you an electronic key bracelet for your locker, plus a t-shirt and shorts to wear in the lounge areas. We arrived early around 10 am, which I'd recommend! Fewer people and everything felt freshly cleaned. The spa isn't "luxury," but it's fairly clean and cozy. We started with the complimentary 25 min massage chairs, then split into the separate locker rooms. In the women's area there are saunas, showers, hot tubs, and a cold plunge (no clothing allowed). Afterward, we met back up in the coed areas, which include a cold room and three hot rooms. Plenty of space, no issues with crowding (at least in the morning when we went). Finally, we ate at the cafe once it opened. I got the beef tofu soup ($22 including tax + before tip) and my bf got the spicy kalguksu. Prices were on the steeper side, but the food was tasty and felt like part of the full jjimjilbang experience. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing, and unique activity to do with friends. Don't expect high end spa amenities, but if you're looking for a cozy spot to unwind for a few hours, this is a solid choice.

Had a little spa day here with my best friend since her and I share a stressful life which results in neck and back pain in our late 20s. When we both lived in SoCal, we would go to the Korean spas together and we were both surprised when we found this gem in Santa Clara!!! First off, we were so obsessed with the massage chairs... we melted in those chairs until our time was up (ok we maybe stayed like 5-10 extra minutes because it felt way too good, you can't blame us ). Then we made our way to the main heat rooms and enjoyed our time there. Ended of course with the ice room. The facility itself was very clean and I really liked how non-crowded it was either. The front desk ladies were so kind and accommodating and we were even shown around as it was our first time there. It was a lovely experience and we left very relaxed!! I would def go again, no hesitation.

Much better experience this time around. The front staff people were very accommodating with the appointment times and let me reschedule when my friends were running late. They even gave me the option to move my time so we could all have our appointment at the same time. My appointment for my Korean scrub and massage started on time and Ahjumma Helen was very kind and put just the right amount of pressure during the massage. My only complaint was that a bunch of the massage chairs weren't working; either that, or I'm just unlucky! I was playing musical chairs in that room. I usually forego the sauna and steam rooms since the rooms downstairs are also heated. Always refreshing to end on the ice room after all that heat!

Good escape for your birthday week? Absolutely. It's not a huge Jjim-Jil-Bang Korean Bathhouse, but it's quite casual and comfortable inside. $40 day pass is good enough to hang around/sleep around/dip around/lounge around for hours. Facial & massage services are optional. Less crowded during weekday mornings at opening hour too. Pay upfront. Staffs are friendly if you need to tour around. Yes, the cafeteria is worth checking out if you want a $22 tofu stew meal or $5.50+ milk tea beverage (all taxes already included in price). Decent and good tasting. Authentic flavors. Staffs in the cafeteria are very low key here. Put away your own tray afterwards. Spas & saunas are perfect to avoid stress, unnecessary distractions or noises. Wear your assigned key on your wrist. Shoe locker and personal locker will have same number as your key. Place your shoe inside your locker and grab a slipper. Definitely read signs everywhere and don't violate rules. Co-ed area includes salt room, clay room, ice room, etc. Massage chairs upstairs are worth the 15-30 minutes or longer. Very quiet with lots of places to sit. Not bad for taking showers or dipping into hot tuns/pools or sitting in a sauna. People bring their friends (especially in women's locker room area), so it may get loud at times. The place is packed with your day spa needs. I will be back again. Fun and enjoyable for relaxation. Public parking lot had lots of parking spots. If you like the Croissante bakery, it's only a few doors away from here and very convenient. My seafood tofu stew meal was excellent. It included big red shrimps just the way I like it. Not too spicy. Mango fruit milk tea was not overly sweet compared to other places. Appetizers and bingsoo looks legit and delicious. Order at cafeteria kiosk. I had a great day, but I wish the place was much bigger because it felt small for me. Plus, beware of the Clay Room because it's very easy to fall into those unstable clay balls or fall full body backwards. Hands will hurt. I wish they would post a warning notice on the door. Overall, ice room was a favorite.

The name Bay Spa sounds like Baseball. We have had many communication confusion in my family because of that. $40 for a day pass covers: wash, soak in a cold tub, hot tub, hot sauna, wet sauna, salt sauna, clay sauna, jade sauna, cold room. There is also a complimentary massage chair room. My daughter and I came on a quiet Friday to relax for about 3 hours. We had a great time hanging out together. She brought face masks and rolled up cute lamb head towels for us to use while sitting on the massage chairs. My only regret was not bringing a hair band to tie up my hair. We did not eat in the cafe but next time, we will definitely try that.

I remember this for the 90's

My friends and I came here for a 30 mins scrub and it did not disappoint. Only grip was I should've gotten an hour scrub + massage. I've gotten scrubs many times before so I can tell you that it's a must at least once in your lifetime. BUT let me warn you once you do it you'll be hooked! Scrubs takes off all the dirt embedded in your skin and makes you feel all soft like a baby again. The ladies here were very nice and the person working the front gave us a tour of the facility when we started. *Make sure to arrive early to use the facilities before your appointment. It recommended to do a 20 min hot soak before getting scrubbed.

Can little boys (4 years old) go into the women's area with their moms?

No, same gender only (mom/daughter & father/son) per management.

No mention of prices here in website?

$40/day pass (5-hr limit per website). They currently have special sale (savings depending on QTY - increments of 10/20/30). 2 and under are NOT allowed & minors (3-11) are $20/day pass. Service prices are listed on website.

Hello! Is the restaurant open yet? Thank you!!!

They had a soft opening when I went on MLK day!

    Is there a birthday special?

It's not on the price list, however the management is truly awesome, that you can talk to James for your birthday surprise.

Do I have to be naked in the gender separated steam and dry sauna?

Signs remind guests that nudity is required in the pools though. This is done mainly for sanitary and hygiene reasons. Attendants will gently remind guests if they forget. Also, when everyone is nude, everyone is the same status, and clothed guests… Read more

Can anyone verify if the service providers (massage therapists, facialists) how they are getting paid or even paid fairly?

How big are the baths? The photos show small rectangular tubs for hot and cold. I miss Lawrence Health Spa's big pools.

They're about 7' x 4'. Three people can be in one with room to spare. Not quite as large as Lawrence Health Spa.

    Do you do couples massage?

The couples massage is offered on their website. Not sure if it's performed in the same room or separate.

Is the admission pass include all day access like in Korea?

Yes. This is unlike the majority of other spas which limit visitors to 2-3 hours. All the more to enjoy the large and varied facilities.

Are scrubs done by the same gender?

Yes for women (I don't know about men but I would suppose so as well.)

What are the prices for your bay spa?

Prices for services are listed here: https://www.bayspaca.com/services

What is the admission price? Or do I have to purchase a service to use facilities?

The admission price is $40. It is not necessary to purchase a service. If a service is purchased, the admission price is waived. So for a $90 scrub, for example, no additional admission price is required.

Is this a nude spa like in korea or will we be using swimwear inside?
