Infrared Booth
Jamie B.

I saw a friend post about this place and decided to give it a try. I did the infrared sauna booth with my husband. I loved that the room was private and clean. You can adjust the heat level within the sauna and choose a light frequency to keep the light on. I found our session to be very relaxing and felt rejuvenated after. This is the perfect winter treat during the cold weather. The pricing ($55/45 minutes/2 people) seemed really fair to me. We will definitely be coming back.

Love this place! I have been 3 times now and can't wait for my next session. Let me start off by saying their 12 sessions (mix and match) for $165 is fantastic! One session allows you can choose between a sauna, salt room or the table massage (jade rollers). Want to bring a friend? You can! They'll take one of your sessions. Salt room - really bad ass. It's extremely relaxing. I have only been in the private room so far and love it. Table massage - this is amazing! I have done this twice so far and it has helped relax me. The table can do upper, full body or lower body. I have done the full body but going forward, I'll rotate my sessions. I met one of the owners Janis and she's such a sweetheart! She walked me through the membership and gives the place glowing energy.

I have done salt room sessions in both the community room and the private room - all are wonderful in their own way. The private room is great for a session with a few girlfriends to catch up while the community is perfect for if it's just me needing a relaxing session in the salt. The rooms are refreshingly cold and my lungs always feel so cleansed after leaving. Ambiance is quiet and the decor is so cute! The owners do an amazing job running the place, I recommend a salt room session to anyone who needs a relaxing moment to just be.

If you haven't tried a salt room you're missing out. This was such a relaxing experience and great way to spend time with friends. We came on a Saturday afternoon and had plenty of space for parking which was already a relaxing start. The waiting room was a little warm but had a very relaxing feel with how they decorated it and spa music playing. The front desk girl was so sweet and very helpful. You are given a reusable tote bag to store your belonging at the beginning. MAKE SURE TO REMEMBER SOCKS as it is a rule to wear socks in the rooms. You are welcome to bring a blanket and headphones if you want. I brought a blanket but the temperature was perfect so we didn't end up needing it. For those with kids the salt rooms have small chairs and toy box which was a great surprise. At the end of our 45 minutes we were gently informed that our time was over with no rush. If you haven't been I encourage you to try out sea salt therapy. This was such a relaxing experience and I can honestly say I do feel like I can breathe better now.

Private Salt Room

I found Sea Salt Therapy when looking for an infrared sauna and a salt room, they had a combination and I booked it instantly. The staff is super friendly and the prices were so reasonable I became a member. The private salt room and sauna are so relaxing. I used the massage table and booked a session in the private salt room to relax in after. I was so relaxed I fell asleep! I recommend Sea Salt Therapy to everyone.

I saw an ad to Sea Salt Therapy on Instagram, which popped up at the right time. I used to frequent float spas pre-pandemic and was ready to get back into a sea salt wellness routine once businesses started opening up. I've been inside wet saunas before, but I was highly intrigued by the experience of being in the salt booth where I would get the benefits of halotherapy, chromotherapy, and dry infrared heat. I also had never heard of the Migun table before, so I added that to my session. I had such wonderful first time experiences with both the salt booth and Migun table. I left my session feeling deeply relaxed but also rejuvenated. Straight up, I took a nap in the salt booth and let the magic happen within. I sweat out toxins, absorbed the glorious sea salt, and bathed in healing light. I particularly was keen on the chromotherapy. I tend to have autoimmune challenges and inflammation, so I manually changed the light to support my need in that moment. The Migun table was quite unique! It had jade rollers that did a great job of simulating what felt like a Swedish massage to me. The table also used the same infrared heating technology. Lastly, Avery and Janis are the best! Since it was my first time, they went through instructions clearly and made sure that I was comfortable during my session.

I love this place. I love going into the Salt Booth solo - it's located in a private room where the door locks so you can choose to be fully dressed, dress down or even chill in ya birthday suit ;) It give many benefits including halotherapy, chromotherapy, and infrared heat technology. Chromotherapy was new to me and it's nice they provide a "menu" that gives you the different benefits of each light. I connect my phone via Bluetooth and enjoy some guided meditations & healing frequencies. They adjust the temperature to your liking, I go lower at around 117F. It's so calming and I feel so relaxed after. The session lasts for about 45 minutes. Lately, I've been visiting with my family. We always go for the private Salt Room experience. Your first time can be pretty intense so just prepared for it. You'll start to cough and your nose may run. You can remove your mask once inside the room. There are toys for the kiddos and chairs set up all around. They have a TV with Netflix & Disney+ and tissues for when your nose starts to run. I find the day after it helps my little ones when they have a cough or runny nose! It's amazingly healing. I recommend signing up for a monthly membership so you can visit frequently, like me! Bring a fresh pair of socks to change into as you can't wear shoes in the back. Janice, the owner, is super kind & helpful. Also, be prepared to greet Loki - the cutest most friendly dog! Follow them on IG @seasalttherapy or visit their website for all the deets!

Private room. TV was in back of me.

Avery and Janet are totally awesome! very sincere folks. I would totally go everyday if they were closer. Ugh. But if you do live near them, you have to try it. The salt room is really relaxing and yes i almost fell asleep. the infrared sauna with the salt therapy was also great! There is plenty of parking. Everyone must try it. The private room is totally worth it if you have 2 or more people.

Ask the Community - Sea Salt Therapy

How long does it take to get a call back? I phoned 2 different numbers. One said mailbox was full so I was unable to leave a message and the other goes directly to voicemail so I left a message this morning and again this evening just in case.

I've been having the same problem calling the last few days. No answer and no call backs.

I've never done the full rotation of hot tub to dry sauna to steam sauna to cold plunge - it was genuinely painful. If you've never experienced this, be prepared to get your heart racing. I was expecting a relaxing experience, but the saunas will leave you out of breath, and the cold plunge will shock your system. It's supposed to be really good for detoxing your system, and I definitely felt like I sweat out a bunch of toxins. We really enjoyed the massage chairs after this whole rotation and showering. The massage chairs are super comfortable and have a variety of massage options. It was so soothing that I fell asleep during my massage. There are a variety of popular scrub massage options that I did not try this time around. The downstairs co-ed dry saunas were a bit underwhelming. The saunas were comfortably warm and had blankets to rest on. These saunas didn't seem to be for the purposes of detoxing since they were at a moderate temperature. I was so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep in multiple rooms lol. Bay Spa was the perfect introduction to Korean spas, and I will definitely be returning!

This was my first time doing a Korean spa. I had previously only eaten at the cafe for lunch and…read moreloved their kalbi rice bowl so I came back for the spa experience with my friends. Once we paid and given key to lockers and 3 towels (1 large & 2 small), we locked up our shoes (only) in the lockers to the right of the front desk. Then headed inside to grab a pair of slippers from the shelves to the left (don't grab the ones in the basket on floor which are for used slippers). Then head upstairs to the locker rooms to change and store your things to the same numbered locker. Also, grab a pair of shorts from the shelves in there. The room with massage chairs is nice if you can find a good chair. The first massage chair I tried was perfect for my needs because I have neck and shoulder issues recently but the massage chair I have at home doesn't even reach my neck and only somewhat knead my shoulders and massages whole body. This chair (where the display controller is mounted on right and has a "neck & shoulder" function) was able to focus only on the neck and even up the back of head and down to the shoulder and shoulder blades areas only (pull out the padding behind the head area if you don't feel much happening). Some of the chairs did seem worn down and torn up but many were in good shape as well. Downstairs is the 3 Jade, Clay, and Salt rooms including an Ice room. No slippers inside rooms so place slippers on the shoe racks outside. Be extra careful going inside the clay room. There are handrails to help you get in and out because the clay balls are actually a few inches deep and very slippery and it's kind of like you're stepping into quicksand. My friends did the body scrub while I did the massage. I don't know if all masseuses massage the same way there but I did not know that the massage included being stepped on. I am a very petite gal and Gina was a bit bigger than me. It wasn't just stepping with one foot but with both! I don't know how much of her entire weight was on me because there were two ropes hanging for her to hold onto but I felt like I was being tortured during the 10-15 minute that she was on me. I can understand if the client is much bigger and so you need your full weight to get enough pressure, but I am only just around 100 lbs, petite, and asked for medium pressure and was still stepped on. After that massage, certain spots around my back and pelvis (boney spots) seemed as if they were bruised cause they hurt with even just touch. She handed me an envelope afterwards for tips. I still tipped her but I don't think I would get a massage there again due to that experience. Maybe if you are a bigger build or get a different masseuse you might enjoy it. Overall, her massage was not all that useful, or even if it was, the stepping on undid it by giving me a traumatic experience. But there were a few times I thought what she was doing didn't seem like it did anything. If I hadn't gotten the massage, I would have given 5 stars because the facility and front desk staff I encountered were great (I asked front desk about adding massage and she was very friendly and helpful and immediately was able to book the massage for the earliest opening a few hours later), but I had to take a star off just for my experience with that masseuse. Would go back to the spa to unwind and relax, but I will most likely not get massage there again.

Facilities were clean and lovely, they have the spas and massage rooms on the first floor and a clay and salt room on the second floor. There is a vanity room where there are plenty of snacks and water/coffee/tea for you to rehydrate yourself with. I believe you get an hour before and after your appointment to enjoy all the amenities. And if you get the scrub highly recommend coming early and softening up your skin in the spas beforehand. I got the silverbell 1 hour message, which comes with the scrub, massage, and also a hair wash. The lady was super gentle and checked in on me whether that was the water temperature, scrub pressure or the massage strength. I thought with everything going on in this it might feel too rushed but time felt well budgeted.

Otherwise, you'll need to book a service at least a month in advance. It's situated in Japantown. If you're driving, I recommend parking in the garage as street parking is either by permit and limited to two hours. They kindly pushed our scrub time to later since one of our party members was running a bit behind. This is the first Korean place I've been to where they requested you come an hour earlier versus thirty minutes. Seemed like a long time to soak. There's also no clock inside the actual bathing area, so difficult to keep track of time. Also, first time going to a Korean spa where they want it to be absolutely silent. I get that they are going for a relaxed environment, but kind of difficult to just soak for an hour and not chit chat amongst ourselves. The shower/soaking area is on the smaller side and for some reason, they didn't have any stools for the sitting bathing areas available. There's one hot tub, one ice tub, a dry sauna, and steam sauna. This would have been more of a three-star experience for me if not for the scrub. My ahjumma, Lee, was great; very attentive and did a very thorough job! Not mentioned in the list of services, but they also wash your hair and face as well as part of the thirty-minute scrub. After our scrub, we headed upstairs to try out the Himalayan salt room and the red clay room. They had staff cleaning throughout so they definitely take cleanliness seriously. Locker room area has lots of Aveda product toiletries and blow dryers available for after. As we were leaving, they gave a face and eye mask which was much appreciated. I can see this being a go-to place if you live in the city, especially if you prioritize relaxation and cleanliness. Just be sure to make an appointment ahead of time.
