This was a fantastic experience. I had really never considered floating. But my boyfriend was thinking about getting one for his daughter's 18th birthday because it's supposed to be good for runners. When I heard that I asked my son about it and found out that he's been dying to try. So we decided to do it together. We each signed up for a membership because you can cancel anytime (but now I don't want to) and it gives you a discounted price for floating. We found a time where they had two pods open and arrived about 15 minutes early. You do have to leave your shoes at the door, so make sure your feet look good. I was a bit embarrassed by my old pedicure but whatever. You can walk in sandals that they provide or barefoot. They also have a little seating area and will bring you some water while you wait if you like Before the float, they gave us a full orientation to how the pods work. First put in your earplugs and then shower with lovely smelling products that they provide. Once you're cleaned off, you can hop in the pod. Each pod is big enough for people to fit comfortably and you can turn a blue light on or off. I floated in darkness, but my son chose to leave the light on. They even have little spray bottles of freshwater inside the pod, just in case any of the salt water hits the eyes. It is a little strange the first time trying to find the right position and such. But after about 10 minutes, I slipped away and before I knew it the hour had passed. I couldn't believe it. I even checked my watch to validate an hour had really past because time just seemed to disappear. We felt so relaxed afterwards and enjoyed a nice dinner out. However, I have scheduled my next one in two weeks for a later time so that I can just go home and go to sleep afterwards. Overall, it was an excellent experience and this place is run very well. I really enjoyed this place and that I found a very, very clean place to go to for my float! I was so happy with how kind, quick, and attentive the staff there were. They take really great of the place and when you first go in they give you shoes and I felt like it was kept clean especially coming from the rain and dragging dirt is no bueno. I tried this for the first time and didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did! The rooms are very clean and private. The pod is easy to navigate and operate. I love the clean, modern design in the lobby, the treatment room, and of the pod itself. I didn't expect to be able to stay in the water for the full hour, but I was surprised when it was over. I am into wellness and trying new modalities and was super excited to try Float Station. It is a modern building in an area that is not so modern which was cool. The lighting and decor was very clean and welcoming. The float therapy itself, I found super relaxing and meditative. They use 1200 pounds of Epsom salt per pod which is mindblowing and I had to ask multiple times to make sure I got it right. Floating for meditation/stress relief was on the top of my to try list this year. I'm so glad I was able to grab the holiday special for a free float with a membership. I brought my sister along since she was stressed so it was a first for the both of us. The facility appeared clean. There are 5 individual pods and each float lasts one hour long. Each pod contains 1200 lbs of epsom salt (be very careful getting water in your eyes, mouth, and cuts--it is very very salty) so you are bound to float. There are cradles for your head if you need help floating. You can request relaxation music to play the entire time or float in silence (I chose the former). You can also choose to keep the blue relaxation light, complete blackout, or alternating colors during your float. Floating for an hour was quite long. I got restless at the halfway point. I don't meditate often and usually am quite active. With practice, I think an hour can be quite beneficial. During my float, common areas of pain in my shoulders/neck/ back ached. I was quite shocked because I did not experience any aches elsewhere. My fingertips and toes did not get pruney. I also needed to pee really badly despite using the restroom immediately before. All in all, this was a very cool experience. I believe in the long term benefits for pain management, cortisol control, improved sleep, and improved athletic performance even after one session. read more

I've achieved twenty years of Yelp Eliteness(!!), so let's go celebrate with some me time at Float Station today. It's not cheap - $120 for a 60 minute float - but it was overall a good experience. Personally, I think I'm more suited for a 30 minute experience - I definitely have a challenge to totally relax, and I felt 'done' a couple times during my hour. It's completely private, so you could open the lid or even exit the pod early if you'd like. My lower body felt great, but I could not get my neck and shoulders to relax - even tried their little floating ring thing and it didn't help. Pro tip: take the dry washcloth to the stool next to the pod to help dry off your face when you inevitably get some of the salted water in your eye - they have a little spray bottle of water in the pod, but I wanted to just dry off my face. read more

I had a great experience at this float spa. This was my second time floating in general and I'm starting to love it. The staff here are very friendly and attentive. I did a 60 minute float. It was easy to book online a day in advance. The front desk staff called the morning before my appointment to remind me to come in a few minutes early to fill out the waiver. The float pod, shower, bathroom were all clean. It was overall a very relaxing experience. They have monthly memberships and offered to waive my first float if I signed up for a membership the same day or the day after. It is a little pricier than other float pods I've been to. There are only 3 clearly marked spots for parking, but you can park alongside the fence as well. I considered other locations that were maybe $10 cheaper. Float Station looks very lux right when you walk in (don't forget to take off your shoes!), and as one who enjoys high-end modern facilities, it was worth it to me. I was in room #2, which happens to be their ADA room. They told me that it's larger than the other rooms, but also that, unfortunately, the shower sprays ALL OVER the floor. They are aware of this and had put down a towel before my session, but the towel got soggy really fast. I'll try one of the regular rooms next time. The float pod itself is pretty huge. They don't change out the water between people, but there is a very intense (and loud) filter that runs at the beginning and the end of your session. They provide disposable earplugs, vaseline to protect cuts from the salt, qtips, hair ties, and a float pillow to use inside the pod. The body wash, shampoo, and conditioning products were SUPER nice, but my one request is I wish they had provided body lotion in the room as well. The room was very quiet and dark. I actually did achieve some level of extreme relaxation and when I came out of it naturally, I was very disoriented and confused. Then the polite "end of session" music started playing so I knew it was time to get my salty butt into the shower and back into the real world. I'll admit to keeping the lights on and the pod lid slightly open the first time, but by second time I was inside floating and relaxing as soon as I entered the room and showered. You have your own private room where there is a shower with body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lush towels provided. On the counter you will a selection of ear plugs, Vaseline (I'll explain) and bandaids. **If you have any open cuts/scrapes, the salt water will sting like an SOB! I have significant eczema on my hands and the Vaseline is a life saver. The staff are amazing, the location is impecably clean, and the entire experience is relaxing. I went to float station for my first float and it was very pleasant! I ended up becoming a member later on. The receptionists are very nice and they explained how everything worked during my first visit. The float was very enjoyable and I even fell asleep while floating! The facility is immaculate and they have nice lavender soaps to use for pre and post float showers. They also provide ear plugs, petroleum jelly (for cuts since it's salt water), float "pillow", combs, deodorant, and more! My first float was today. I have been having sleep problems which I am certain that stress is the root cause of it. I work a lot and I have a lot on my plate. I just dropped out of my spring semester because I knew I wouldn't be successful at it. I start my new role in 4 weeks. I am traveling in 3 weeks for an entire week for work. There's a lot going on and I am excited and anxious about the next chapter in my life. I had a phone appt w/ my doctor about my sleep but nothing he advised me that I already don't know. Since I cannot negate the stress and do not know how to manage it, I decided to try this instead - to be in the still. No checking emails constantly and embracing the silence. Clean, sleek, and minimalistic establishment. Katie welcomed me and walked me through everything. A few things to know: - take shoes off and either put on their sandals or be barefoot - after signing a waiver, you are advised to use the restroom - you will be introduced to the pod that you signed up to - you take a shower (use their shampoo / body wash) before - you also take a shower after (can use conditioner) - there's a head pillow foam thing, can act like a pillow - soft, serene music at the beginning and at the end of your session (signaling time to get out) - the water adjusts to your body temperature The first 15 minutes, I couldn't seem to shake the feeling of being quiet. I thought about work, my schoolwork, my kids, everything. I even tried to meditate. I don't know how but I eventually fell asleep. When I woke up, I felt proud of myself. I felt happy that I somehow found an outlet to relieve my stress. It was an amazing experience. I'm considering being a member. I need to learn to be selfish in someway or form. But the term "selfish" has a negative connotation that people often avoid admitting to. It is not a negative term, it depends on the circumstances. I go 100 miles per hour from the time I wake up to the time I can finally get some shuteye. I owe it to myself to refocus and make sure my goals align w/ the path I am on. I'd been looking for a way to relax and unwind when I came across the idea of "floating" and knew I had to try. The environment at Float Station is very quiet and serene. You take off your shoes when entering the front door, then once you're in the private pod room you shower before getting into the pod. Once you're in the pod you can have total darkness or blue light. Theres no sound and you float weightlessly. It took 15-20 minutes for me to settle in and relax but once I do I fell into a DEEP relaxation. I highly recommend trying this if you're looking for a new way to decompress. read more

We finally visited Float back in March because we needed to de-stress. It was time for some much needed self care. I called and left a VM and someone got back to me asap and we easily booked our Float for 2 people. On the day of our float we arrived early and signed some waviers and received a short tour/orientation of how to float. The staff was friendly and showed us how to use the pod and I highly recommend yall to ask questions and clarification especially if it's your first time. We each have our own private float room with a pod and shower (fyi- no bathroom in your float room so make sure to use the restroom outside before going into your float room). You take a quick rinse before hopping into the pod. There's music the first 10 minutes and then it's silence so you can focus on your breathing. Since it was my first time, it took me probably about 20 mins to settle in. I was definitely frustrated the first 20 mins but soon after I found a comfortable position and locked into my relaxation. Placing my hands on my tummy worked best for me but you can put your hands behind your head or at the side. If at anytime you get salt water in your eyes you can easily reach for the spray bottle on the side of the pod. When your float time is almost up, music will vegin to play to give you a warning. Btw they also provide ear plugs and vaseline. After your float, you take a shower to rinse off all the salt. They provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there's even qtips! You can go to bathroom to use the hair dryer if needed. The entire facility and space is super clean as well. Overall, it was a very relaxing experience and I am looking forward to coming back for my next float now that I know what to expect. P.s. they even have their own private parking lot! read more

First time floating today and we will definitely be coming back. We were greeted by Diana who was super nice, helpful, and very informative since we'd never done a float tank before. The place is very clean, part of what attracted us to this location in the first place. When you walk in you take your shoes off and can grab some slippers and sit down in their bright waiting area. They give you the guidelines for floating, essentially going over the FAQ in depth, and are there to answer any questions. When we got to our room (we each had our own separate room) they gave us a run down of what was in the room, what to expect, and the process. First things first, you should rinse off and use their shampoo and soap to get clean in a lukewarm shower before you enter the pod. Since the pod is not a hot tub I chose to take a cooler than usual shower so that I wouldn't experience any discomfort if the water was colder than anticipated. Next you hop into the pod which is HUGE! I was so nervous that I would feel claustrophobic but this was not the case at all. You can keep the light on during your float or turn it off, providing full sensory depravation! It's so rad!!! The music slowly stops after a few minutes and you feel like you are floating through space. If you are worried about head support they have a small floatie but with all of the salt it's not needed! I used earplugs, my partner did not. This place is all about options and empowering you to make the most out of your float experience. I was so relaxed I dozed off for a bit, it was glorious. My partner took the full meditation route and he said he had a really excellent experience keeping his eyes open in the pitch black and feeling the floating sensation throughout the duration of his time in the pod. As your float time is about to end the music will come on and eventually the lights and jets will come on. I almost don't want word to get out about this amazing retreat, but here I go. I have been floating for a year, and it has changed my life. I am not normally a "woo woo" person, but I have a very physically and emotionally demanding job as a hospice veterinarian. I float weekly (I close my practice early on Fridays to float and make it a priority now) and I look forward to the rest that comes by just closing my eyes. It also relieves pressure on my herniated L4 disc (better than chiropractics and acupuncture). It takes practice to learn to let go and do nothing, so the quote on the wall "the more you float, the better it gets" is not an upsell. Is it cheap? No. But for me, it is more affordable than the weekly acupuncture, chiro, and meditation that this substitutes for. As soon as I hear the calming flute music as I enter my room I relax - it's become a pavlovian response! I even tried a cheaper place in Saratoga but the rooms and the pod were nowhere near as nice as FS. The staff is always incredibly kind and responsive (shout out to Diana). read more

I recently visited Float Station for my first ever float and I was surprised by how spa-like the experience was. I had the opportunity to visit on a guest pass/soak after my husband has signed up. He raved about the experience and encouraged me to try it. Upon arrival, you are asked to remove your shoes and you are barefoot the rest of the time inside. After filling out the waiver, the staff takes you back to your private tank room. Walking in I was not expecting such a relaxing environment. The room is mostly filled by the tank itself, but there's also a shower built into the space so that you can rinse before and after the soak. The water itself is filled with a salt-magnesium mixture so when you enter, you immediately start floating. It was incredibly relaxing and meditative to be submerged in the float pod. Feeling relaxed after session, I filled my water bottle up with eater from their electrolyte water filler and started hydrating as they recommend after the float. I would definitely recommend Float Station to anyone curious about floats or looking for a new way to destress/relax. read more

This was my first time floating and the experience for me was "okay" Upon entering the facility, you are asked to take off your shoes and proceed to check in. The space was really clean with a modern futuristic look. Since it was my first time, they took me into the room to explain all the in's and outs - which was great. I would've just went in my room and prob jumped inside! The room itself was very quaint and relaxing upon entry-they had relaxing music playing in the background with dimmed lights. There is everything you need in the room-various towels, qtips, vaseline (for cuts and scrapes and sandals! After my "orientation" I was ready to float. It was a very interesting experiencing.. for the first however many minutes lol I was rather bored most of the time and couldn't hold still. When it was time to exit, I showered and went to the restroom. Even in the restroom, they provide a handful of toiletries for you. Blowdryers, face lotion, lotion, disposable combs etc. You can tell they thought of everything for you here. The girl at the front desk asked if I was bored in my pod as if she knew by the look on my face lol. She stated that it was normal for your first visit to be bored-since it is a new experience, your brain and body haven't adjusted. She explained that after a few visits, you should be able to shut your brain off. I don't know if I would pay a few more visits to see if I may or may not shut my brain off. TBH I'd rather pay to go get a massage. I loved the location and float session itself as well as the amazing staff. However there are a few very simple improvements that would bring this to the level of a luxury wellness experience; which is really what it should be. Lobby and arrival experience: Upon arriving you are asked to put on communal flip flops or go barefoot. No thanks. I'd rather not use those or stand on common areas barefoot. It didn't seem as there was anyone spraying them after use but I could be wrong. Any requests to remove articles of clothing should be allowed in the private float room. Not in a lobby. There were just shoes hanging out in the lobby. Certainly there is a more elegant solution. A basket outside the float room? While you are waiting you are asked to complete a waiver on an iPad. That's all fine except you have to manually type all your contact info that you already provided online when purchasing. Would be nice if it was there autofilled and you just do the waiver part. Or if you can do ahead of time on your own device since most of us have auto fill enabled. Not a huge deal though. Float room experience: The rooms are nice, smell good, elegantly lit etc. however they could be better if they added a simple bench in the float room to sit and change on. It's a bit tough to stand on a slippery floor and get dressed. Especially if you have pains and aches (a major reason to float). Some of the crucial items (ear plugs etc) are far away from the tank. I forgot to do the ear plugs so had to get out and dry off and shimmy on a floor towel to other side of room without slipping. Would make sense if it was closer to the tank. It is like they couldn't decide if they wanted people changing in the public restrooms or the float rooms. The float rooms had a shower and what not but no mirror or bench. The public restrooms had a mirror and lockers. For this experience it would be ideal to enter the room as you came in and leave the room ready to leave. Not also have to go to the bathroom. I will definitely go again and hope they can make these minor improvements as they are not costly and frankly expected in an experience like this. read more

I was really skeptical when I first heard about people "floating". It seems pretty odd and the opposite of relaxing! Especially since I tend to get anxious in enclosed dark spaces. But I'm all about new experiences! I was able to book an appointment that day which was really great! They have a private lot which is awesome because parking in Downtown Campbell can get so hectic. Right when you walk in, theres a basket with comfy sandals and a bench for you to take off your shoes. This was also new for me but once you entered into the lobby everything is so clean and cozy, I can tell they really want you to feel at home. I had a lot of questions which Monica was so nice to answer! She answered all my little questions about the water, cleaning, etc. I also have eczema so I was concerned about my skin and she assured me that they are prepared with everything I'd need including vaseline to cover my eczema and prevent sting from the salt water. While waiting for my float time I was very relaxed in their lobby, they play soothing music and have a fun aquarium show on the TV. When it came time for my float, I first went to the restroom and in there they also have makeup wipes, hair dryers, combs, towels, etc. The room you're in has the pod, a shower, and towels, vaseline, etc. Monica gave me an orientation of what to do for my float and even helped me open up my vaseline packets! Once she left and it was time for my float I did start to get nervous but I got ready and got in. It was really weird at first but to my surprise after a couple of minutes, I was ready to turn off the lights in the pod! I found the most comfortable position was with my hands on my belly, the lights off, and the pod cracked open. I love water and it was just like floating in the ocean at night! The hour went by so fast! But it was also a good amount of time. I was also shocked to find that I wasn't pruney! Something about the salt water doesn't make you pruney! I really did feel like I was floating for the rest of the night. I noticed too on my drive home, while I would usually be upset at stupid drivers, I let every worry roll off my shoulders! I really felt so relaxed. I will definitely be floating again and recommend it to everyone to at least try! Especially if you love swimming or being in the ocean! read more

Finally got around to trying my first float at Float Station after it was recommended to me for the third time. I regret waiting to so long to try this! It is amazing. At first you lie in the tank fidgeting, but after about 10 minutes your mind and body "unclench" in a way you couldn't possibly imagine. You feel nothing, see nothing, and all you hear is the sound of your heartbeat, the sound of the wind rushing through your throat as you breathe, and the sound of your eye lids blinking. If you close your eyes and hold a deep breath, all you sense is your heartbeat. It also helped that Diana (the host) was so friendly and kind. She took the time to give me a thorough introduction to optimize my experience. The facility is very clean and inviting, I felt safe and relaxed the entire time. A wise man once said "We all float." RIP Pennywise... All jokes aside, everyone should experience floating and Float Station is a great place to do so. First off, I'm in love with the design of their building. The white and concrete walls along with the warm yellow wooden floor give you instant zen-vibes. Speaking of the floor, once you enter, you have to take your shoes off and put on their comfy slippers. I loved those so much, I am thinking about ordering them. Once your room is ready, the friendly receptionists will walk you to it and ask you to take your slippers off and leave them by the door. Inside the softly lit room, you will find the tub with blue lighting, a shower with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, towels, earplugs and flip flops. First thing you will want to do is shower to remove any trace of lotion or perfume on your body. They really want to keep the tubs as chemical free as possible. Remember the earplugs from earlier. Make sure to put those in before the shower and keep them in throughout the floating experience-unless you want to have water in your ear for a few days. Then, you will want to slowly descent into the tub by pulling the lid down with you. You can keep the lights in the tub on or turn them off by hitting the big black button inside the tub. Now close your eyes and enjoy the experience. When your session nears its ending a soft spa music will start to play, gently pulling you back into reality. You can get out, take a shower and grab some water on your way out. Hydration is critical!!!! My first experience there was a bit awkward. But the second time around the experience was definitely much more impactful as I was able to completely relax. The only thing I wish they could change is to have the option to keep the music on the entire time. It was quite lovely and soothing. read more

Nice, easy, clean - very relaxing! Highly recommend everyone to try it. Many benefits - which you can read about in the lobby too. (They say 1 hour of floating is like getting 4 hours of sleep!) SO nice when you've been stressed or in pain! You come in the front door & they have sandals for you to put on, bring you into your own room where you will be alone & lock the door (they give you instructions too) & then have you shower & use body wash & shampoo only before you get into the pod - afterwards you can use conditioner - all provided (& has a nice scent - my daughter who is very particular about that & normally only uses unscented things liked it!) There are towels, q tips, earplugs, which I don't use, myself, as I find that to be more uncomfortable - to each their own - Just make sure not to rub your eyes when you're in the saltwater! (There's a little spray bottle of plain water inside the pod in case you forget!) You just get in & turn the light off - the hour goes by so fast - it's very easy - music comes on & let's you know when the time is up & if you're so relaxed even to last that long the water will start to filter after the time. You just show up at your appointment time (make sure to use the bathroom in the lobby before you go into your private room) - then be prepared to be very relaxed & "floating" through the rest of your day afterwards! read more

I had the most amazing experience from start to finish! I surprised my husband for his birthday and took him to Float Station. Booking the appointment was very simple and they were very informational on the phone! They have a tiny lot on the side of the building which makes it very easy to park since Campbell is typically a pain when it comes to parking. That was an added bonus! The moment we walked in, I was already excited because the aesthetics of the place was very nice. Loved the simplicity and the cleanliness. The ladies were very friendly and greeted my husband for his birthday since I mentioned that upon booking the appointment. We were then explained on the process and the do's and don'ts - which was very simple. I loved how spacious the room was and the pod was very spacious itself. There were plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and ear plugs. Everything was nicely stocked and the room was clean. The experience of being in the actual pod was very unique. It took some time for me to get used to it, but once I did, I loved it! It was a great form of meditation but also very relaxing for your body. You sort of just let loose and forget all the troubles in the world for one whole hour! I walked out and I noticed my husband was already waiting for me and I asked him how it was and unfortunately, he mentioned that he felt very sick during his float and lasted only 25 minutes. =( The lady told us that this happens often than none and that it's not for everyone. I felt sad that my husband wasn't able to enjoy his surprise for his birthday. I checked my e-mail this morning and we actually received a personal e-mail from Ryan, the owner himself, saying that he is refunding us my husband's float! He heard about his experience and was nice enough to not charge us. That, to me, is excellent customer service! Not all business owners have the heart to go out of the way like that, but Ryan definitely did. Though my husband did not enjoy the Float, he definitely enjoyed the service! I am forsure coming back with girlfriends so they can experience their first floats as well! read more

From the two people at the front desk to the decor of the lobby, and the float itself, it was a very relaxing and pleasant experience. I suffer from terrible insomnia and that night, after floating, I had the best night of sleep I have had in a long time. I also carry all of my stress in my neck and shoulders and have non-stop pain because of it (I am a stress case about work). For three days following my float I didn't have any neck or shoulder pain. It was amazing. In fact, it has been a week and a half since my float and my pain isn't nearly as bad as usual. I can get kind of claustrophobic in certain situations but I didn't feel that way at all in the pod. It was actually very peaceful. I took my sister and my nephew and they were a little hesitant about being in the pods but both of them ended up loving it. You should do yourself a favor and try it at least once. You will be amazed at the benefits. I plan on going again and would like to make this a part of my self care regimen. read more

Our first time to float and for a total relax. The pod and the room is clean as stated. We enjoyed an hour-long floating. I am not to repeat what other customers have stated, one personal "tip" - after I slipped into the pod for my moment, around 15-20 minutes later, the air in the pod felt a bit stuffy. (The pod is lowered down and sealed). I may easily push the pod, and it would lift up right away. I did this to let the air circulated. (Another person came with me opened a small gap to breath). Though the front-desk girl explained that there is air slowly blowing in, we may just not sense it. It would be nice to include this in the introduction. I bought my husband a membership for his birthday and took and took advantage of the free float gift card. He's been under a lot of stress, so I booked a session for both of us and our 19-yr-old daughter. My husband enjoyed a float experience at another place in San Francisco a while back, but it wasn't as nearly nice or new as Float Station. I wanted our daughter to try it since she deals with a persistent health condition aggravated by stress. I was curious to experience its restorative benefits I'd heard so much about. I appreciated the parking lot since parking can be hard to find in downtown Campbell. The exterior and inside of the place exudes a soothing, minimal spa environment, and we found the staff very helpful and pleasant. We were told it sometimes takes a few times before being able to fully relax. That wasn't the case for us. My husband fell asleep. Our daughter did as well. She had some vivid dreams during the hour-long float, even though she doesn't usually remember her dreams. I think that says a lot about the deep restful state she was able to attain. I stayed awake but felt completely comfortable and relaxed after a short period to get acclimated. The earplugs for keeping out the salt water kept slipping out since I have very narrow ear canals. I decided not to futz with it since the water wasn't stinging or painful, and they stayed loosely in place. After that, time passed quickly. The water is dense with epsom salts which makes you float effortlessly, and I felt like I was being suspended in a warm hammock or in the palm of a giant hand. Soft gentle music begins playing to cue you when the time is up, and if you've turned out the light in the pod, it turns on a few minutes after the music starts. It's nice each float pod is in its own private room with shower, since you have to do that before and after floating. Soap, shampoo, slippers and conveniences are provided. Allow about 1-1/2 hours since the float itself is an hour. Interestingly, our daughter woke up groggy, but my husband and I emerged energized. My takeaway is the float experience allows your mind and body to do what it needs to do for healing and restoration. It was worth trying in my opinion, and I can't wait to go again! read more
