The whole space has such calm, grounding, chill energy and it is always absolutely immaculate. Cleanliness is clearly a huge priority, which adds to it being so easy to fully relax and switch off. I've been coming to Peak Performance Float since around 2018, and every time I come in, it feels like I'm giving myself a much-needed reset. My go-to service here is floating. I've done both 60- and 75-minute sessions and have tried the float tanks, pods, and rooms. Honestly, I don't have a favorite; they each offer a calming escape from life's hustle and grind. Sometimes it takes me a bit longer to relax and really settle in, but that's more about where my head is at and not a reflection on the experience itself. They provide the necessary shower amenities: the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are complementary pre- and post-soak, as well as makeup remover, earplugs, and Vaseline for any cuts or scrapes. The earplugs can be a little tricky to get just right, but Rebecca (the AMAZING owner) is always happy to offer tips if you need help. If I had one tiny wish, it'd be for each float room to have a small mirror and wastebasket, but you can always pop into the restroom after if needed. Floating here truly feels luxurious, and it's something I look forward to every time. This visit, I decided to try something new: the intro Contour Red Light Therapy session, followed by a good sweat in the sauna. The Contour session was definitely an interesting experience. It starts with a set of body measurements -- arms, thighs, and three spots around the midsection. Then I got "wrapped" in firm infrared panels (they feel a bit like flexible plastic boards) on my arms, torso, and legs, and another light tent placed over the face. The session itself lasts about 25 minutes. The lights feel warm but never too hot, more like gentle heat therapy than anything intense. The panels rest against your skin but aren't compressive or tight. It's a lot different than a spa-style body wrap. Once the session was done, they remeasured me and then had me stand on a vibration plate for 10 minutes. For context, I'm about 5'5", 135 lbs, with an hourglass figure. I am not overweight, but I wouldn't describe myself as lean, either. After everything, I had lost about 0.25 inches per measured spot -- roughly 1.75 inches total. Was it noticeable? Not to me. The staff did mention that results are cumulative over multiple sessions (think 8 to 16!), along with guidance to cut calories, work out, eat healthy, and avoid alcohol and caffeine... So, is it the red light or the lifestyle changes that make the difference? Still, the therapy is FDA-approved, so it might offer that extra boost for those on a wellness journey. Personally, I found it a bit too pricey for what it offers, so I passed on the package deal. To round things out, I hopped into the sauna for a 45-minute sweat session. The temperature hovered between 144-146°F -- hot, yes, but totally bearable and incredibly satisfying. They provide a towel to sit on, a washcloth for sweat, and a robe -- all the little touches that make a difference. All in all, while the contour session isn't something I'll continue with, I'll absolutely keep coming back for my float sessions and sauna time. This place has become part of my self-care routine. My aunt is a member here and absolutely loves floating. She asked me if I wanted to try it out and I said yes, as I am down to try new wellness experiences. I was hoping to like floating, but turns out it was not for me. I had a 75 minute session which, was way to long for me. The temp of the water was nice, but the salt really irritated my skin. I had to intermittently get out of the water because it would burn/itch too bad. It was also very quiet as I was not made aware that you could listen to music while floating until after I was done. It would have been nice to sing along to something to pass the time. I got out of the pool earlier than needed because I had to shower and wash the salt off of me as I was super itchy. The 4 stars is for how nice and clean the facility was. The owner Rebecca was very nice and knowledgeable, but my own personal experience I would give it 2 stars. read more

I've been doing floats for about 7 years in different locations throughout the bay and love it. Peak Performance as a whole does a great job of taking care of everything you can think of and making it a great experience as a whole. I've been to places with good tanks and bad service or the other way around and I was fine because I couldn't find a place that does everything well. Rebecca definitely makes sure to check all the boxes and I'm glad I don't have to worry about finding another spot ever again. I'm really bad at not praising good businesses and usually Yelp when something is way below par. Rebecca and her team are so amazing that it reminded me that it doesn't have to be just a negative experience to be able to share my experiences about a business and I always look forward to my next float. I am so glad I found this place on Yelp! I have been wanting to find a nice place to sauna, because right now my only option is at 24 fitness... which if you know you know. This was the exact opposite! I had my own private sauna that was hidden behind curtains. My 45 minute session was perfect and I instantly felt more relaxed. The time flew by. I brought my headphones to listen to music which I would definitely recommend and don't forget your water. The sauna itself is not that large, so you can't really fully stretch out which is the only bummer. It is a bit hard to get comfy and it would be nice to have extra towels. Besides this I loved my experience. They don't offer a shower for their sauna sessions so you have to wipe off with your towel. I can say my fears of claustrophobia was a none factor. You have complete control over how confined and closed in you choose. I also have drowning fears, but none of the fears come up at all. This is my first time here and probably my last. The facilities were clean-ish and the gentleman at the front desk was kind, but this really wasn't the experience for me. Upon getting in, I did feel weightless which was nice but the intense, heavy smell of the salt was overwhelming. Also, my room had a glass door to the pool and because of that, once my eyes adjusted to the darkness I was able to see a bit of light filtering into the room from the entry door. I did nod off twice but I kept waking suddenly and I could feel my heart beating fast....not sure if that's supposed to happen but it didn't help me relax. There are plenty of 5-star reviews for this establishment and plenty of people who enjoyed themselves but the cost for the experience and the experience itself wasn't worth it to me. Everything from start to finish went swimmingly. It began when I zoned in on a Groupon promo code in one of my emails, and upon clicking into my account, I discovered I had expiring Groupon bucks. The stars were aligned for a float under twinkle lights! I purchased two 60-min floats for the boyfriend and I, although the sessions can be used separately as well. I opted to make an online appointment rather than calling in. The website was painless to navigate and I read up on the three different float options they had: 1) Float Pod 2) Float Orb (a bigger, oblong pod) 3) Float Room I have floated in the past, but never had the pleasure of experiencing a Float Room, so I immediately jumped on that. It's like an enclosed bathtub of sorts, complete with a glass door that you pull to enter. In contrast, the Float Pods and Float Orb have lids that close over the top, which may be daunting to people who are claustrophobic. My boyfriend went for a Float Room as well, since being in a pod was slightly reminiscent of being in a MRI machine to him. I personally never had an issue with pods in the past, even the old-fashioned, boxy types that resemble dryers. I would be down to try one here next time, especially as they look like such serene and spacious state-of-the-art pieces. It's important to note that only the pods and orb come equipped with music, unlike the rooms. I successfully applied the Groupon purchase for a $130.00 credit upon selecting Float Room 1 and Float Room 2 at the 5:30pm slot, giving us ample time to digest whatever lunch we had. My boyfriend and I both received an email to confirm our appointment the day before our float, and I also received a text and a reminder email 2 days prior, since any cancellation within 24 hours would result in a $25 cancellation fee/p. The communication remained top-notch as we peppered them with a couple questions the morning of the float. They advised us to arrive 15 minutes earlier if we wanted to start at 5:30pm, so we would have time to fill out the waivers and watch an instructional video. We did end up coming early and enjoyed the 6-minute video, which included interesting animation and some ideas of poses one could strike while floating. I have watched the Simpsons episode of Bart and Lisa experiencing flotation pods, so I do know there is great potential for float memes. They kept telling us we didn't have to watch the video as we have floated before, so we quickly fast forwarded and put on the provided sandals to go on the tour of our rooms. They showed us the water spritzer, the makeup removal wipes, the standard silly putty earplugs, the Styrofoam headrest, and all the works for the shower before and after, including towels and bathrobe. We were taught how to switch the settings of the lights inside the float and how to turn it off completely. Obviously, the exterior room lights were recommended to be off. The timer for the session starts once you finish your shower and get into the tank. I played around with the lights a bit, watching it switch colors at different tempos before settling for a lights out. I had an easy time clearing my mind and meditating. After the lights flashed to signal that the hour was up, I took another shower to wash away all the salt deposits. I headed to their bathroom to blow-dry my hair before meeting some of my friends for dinner. Thank god it was equipped with hair gel, hair spray, lotion, and all the frivolous necessities. As we were much dehydrated, my boyfriend and I brewed some of their complimentary tea and chilled for a bit with the Himalayan salt lamps before heading out with a peaceful aura. They really do make you feel comfortable heading in and heading out of your float for maximum rejuvenation, so five stars! If this was my first float, I would've given it four stars because I'm not super into floating compared to some enthusiasts who consider it their drug of choice. But sometimes you need to experience some relatively good floats first to recognize a great float (which this is!) when you see one. read more

I want to start off with saying the staff is wonderful, they were helpful and sweet. My boyfriend called and told the woman over the phone that we had a Groupon and unfortunately it had expired a few days ago, she still honored the Groupon for us which we appreciated. The staff and customer service is spot on. And with every issue we brought to their attention they were really kind and apologetic. My review is based on the float experience. Boyfriend : Float Pod * He noticed a wad of hair on the inside of the pod when he got in (which he mentioned to staff after our session was over). * He would have loved to make adjustments to the volume of music, he said it was to low. * The sandals given to us were very small, they did not fit him. Me : Float Room * Had a couple black strains of hair in my float room as well. * When we were given the tour/run down on how to use everything and what to do, the woman specifically told me that I had music and I can turn it on and up when I want to. The music did not work at all, after my session I mentioned this to the male employee and he told me the float rooms don't have music. Miscommunication I suppose. I hope they get music for the float rooms, because laying down in water in absolute silence allowed me to think about everything lol * Water temperature for me could have been a lot warmer, it felt like I was laying down in lukewarm water. It wasn't very pleasant. * In the beginning of my session my 3 jets were on, they turned off 10 mins in but I would've loved for them to stay on longer or periodically turn on and off through out the 60 mins. I think there are some great opportunities for them to work on, I hope the management team reads this review and takes all of this into consideration. After a car accident, I had a concussion, head, neck and back pain. I tried floating to help with my recovery. I was super nervous about it because I'd never tried anything like it before, but Rebecca and her staff were so reassuring, and explained in detail what to expect. I got significant pain and stress relief immediately. The other times I floated as self care and stress management, and each time I slept like a baby for 4-5 days afterwards! The most important thing to know if you are a newbie is that you should actually float at least 3 times to get the desired effect. The first time, it might be weird or out of your comfort zone, but if you keep going, it's SO worth it, the effects are astonishing. Beyond the floating, Peak is a holistic healing center. They truly care about your well being and offer coaching and trainings and even corporate retreats. Rebecca is a literal fountain of knowledge and truly cares about her clients. In these crazy times, who wants to be a stress monkey all the time? What's the point? Life is too short! Don't be like me and wait until you are in crisis mode to get help. Be proactive. A service like this costs a lot less than the eventual health care you will need if you don't take care of yourself! Man o' man! What a lovely experience. My husband and I did a couples 90 minute float session and really enjoyed ourselves. So much so that my husband fell asleep pretty quickly. I meditate regularly but found floating really got me into theta brain wave patterns quickly. In fact my 90 minute float felt like 30 minutes. I came out, with not only my mind clear and calm but my body feeling wonderful. If you are looking to get into meditation, I would highly recommend floating, as it will really help get your mind in the best brain wave patterns. First timers will likely want to do 3 or more sessions to really start to get the massive benefits. The decades of neural connection in our brain and emotional chemicals (good or bad) our body's becomes conditioned to, can take a little start to break the old programming. I had a great experience here doing one of their floats. I had a stiff neck for about 4 days prior and it just kept getting worse. I decided to do a float session to help alleviate the tension in my neck muscles. Afterwards, I felt so much better (and relaxed). I was back to about 85% back to normal. Two days later, my neck was at 100%. Just my personal experience and not sure how much of it was the float vs natural body recovery, but I did feel a big improvement instantly after the session. Word of advice though.... use the ear plugs. Not that you hear noises or anything, but it helps from having salt dry up in your ear. read more

Interesting place. I was in an igloo with hot water and various Salts. The only thing I didn't like was the water temperature. Hotter will have been better. Were the goggles because the salt does burn your eyes. I recommend not to wear contact lens. The igloo was clean , took sometime for me to relax . Music too low for me.
