Saigon Spa is a beautiful spa clinic. It has a calm atmosphere from entry and is very clean as I would expect from a a fancy Spa resort. The rooms temperature was comfortable and the blankets were soft and warm. My main review is for Sara who provided a 60 minute deep tissue massage that exceeded my expectations! Now, she isn't going to be everybody's cup of tea, especially if you're expecting a relaxing pampering massage to fall asleep. I appreciate that type of massage, but this time I came in with acute back pain. She honed in and went right to it. Honestly, at first it seemed rougher, but it was clear her expertise provided the relief I needed. I did not even mention any other pain points but as she worked, she identified three other pain areas that I've been dealing with for months. That's how I knew she has a keen understanding of how the body should move and feel, and the skill to guide my muscles/fascia back to where they should be to be able to function properly and without pain. She adjusted her technique as she felt my body could tolerate (e.g. she threw in some Thai massage technique to lengthen and stretch at the end). After 60 minutes, my pain levels reduced significantly from 7/10 to 2/10. I couldn't believe it! My heel pain of six months was gone! Small parking lot is in the back. Be careful when you walk around this area, the concrete is uneven. We booked Body Polish Massage for 90 mins for two people. I happen to get a different masseuse when I arrived. Perhaps scheduling issue. I've been to another spa and for this price point, I wasn't able to choose my own scrub at Saigon Spa. They don't serve any drinks either, such as hot tea. The scrub was round on the skin and it left a mark on my body right away after my session ended. My skin felt soft though. The towel they used on you is also rough. Not a soft towel at all. My massage was not relaxing at all. In the beginning the masseuse kept poking at my legs and butt area. I think it's the pressure point technique but it hurts a lot. I asked the masseuse to please stop and move on to a different technique. But she said it would help me. The masseuse I had was very nice, which pains me to write this review. Front desk asked me later how was my massage, and I said it was ok. I do think front desk needs training on customer service. I witnessed another customer who loves this place and wanted a membership. She asked a lot of questions but front desk kept brushing her off as if he is annoyed with many questions. I was feeling exhausted after a long, tiring week of work, so I decided to treat myself to a massage. I looked on Yelp for highly-rated spots nearby work and found this one. The prices seemed reasonable for the Los Altos area, so I booked my appointment for the 45-minute Deep Tissue massage. When I got there, they took me to my room right away even though I was a little early for my appointment. The room was nice and dark, very relaxing vibes. We booked the Couples Saigon Signature with hot stone, and from the moment we walked in, it felt calm, clean, and quietly luxe. The front desk area is cute without trying too hard -- soft lighting, essential oils lined up, little Valentine touches, and that glowing Saigon Spa sign moment. Intimate but not cramped. The Massage John worked on me and Rachel worked on bestie. We don't get massages often so we both have pretty sensitive bodies. They both worked on us at different pace. I held onto the certificate for almost a year before finally booking an appointment. Their website is clean and easy to navigate, and I liked that they offer daily promotions (e.g., free hot oil on weekdays etc.). My appointment was at 1 PM. The location is easy to find, with plenty of parking for the businesses in the strip and additional street parking. The spa itself is quiet, welcoming, and inviting. They have a little rack to leave your shoes and wear slip ones provided by them or to go barefoot. Check-in was quick, and I was escorted to a clean room with a heated blanket on the bed--a nice touch on a cold, rainy day. My massage therapist, Sarah, was fantastic! She asked which areas to focus on, identified sore spots, and applied strong, effective pressure. She regularly checked if the pressure was right and adjusted as needed. I also appreciated that communication was easy. After the massage, checkout was smooth. There was no pressure to tip, though they provided a tipping guide (slightly higher than standard, but fair for the quality of service). Their technology impressed me--they use a QR code for tipping, which links to a page where you select your therapist and pay via Venmo. I came in for a 4 PM massage appointment that I had booked hours earlier without any issue. I wanted to do something relaxing and self-care for my birthday. The spa allows you to choose a female or male masseuse per preference, which I enjoyed as well. There was a lot of parking available for the spa as well. The check in process was really simple and they were able to see me almost immediately. Once I had checked in, they had me change into slippers prior to going to my room. The spa also has relaxing music playing in throughout the facility to really set the mood. The receptionist walked me to my room which was extremely relaxing. The lights were dim and the room smelt excellent. I booked the Saigon Signature 60 minutes and added stress relief essential oils. I undressed and got under the blanket and my masseuse was there briefly. I had an excellent experience during my massage. She incorporated the essential oils with hot stones and Swedish massage. It was so relaxing and I fell asleep several times. The music and ambience was great for relieving stress. After the massage, I feel very refreshed. I was quite excited to try this place as the reviews are really great. I was quite disappointed to say the least. I got the body polish which was a combo of body scrub and massage, starting off with the massage. The massage was not relaxing at all. It was a lot of the massage therapist using their arm/elbow to roll/press on your muscles. When I asked if they could be more gentle, they just moved on to a different part of my body. Overall, it was painful and my knots weren't gone. But the body scrub was worse. The scrub had a citrus scent and everything was rough overall--the texture of the scrub and the way that the body scrub was done. I ended up having scratches on my legs afterwards... When I called to make an appointment for this, I asked if how the body scrub is done and whether we'd be able to wear our underwear. The receptionist has mentioned that it'd be best if all clothings are removed, but if we do not feel comfortable with that, then bring a change of underwear since it could get wet. Once you are at the facility, they insisted that all clothings are removed. I appreciated that they explain this but I also really wished that I didn't have to have this conversation over and over. They do wiped us with warm wet towels after the scrub. But since we are underneath a sheet the whole time, we still have scrubs all over us even after being wiped down. You do have to take a shower afterwards. Facility provides indoor slippers (and insist that you wear these--which explains why the place is pretty clean), hair bands, disposable shower cap, towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. When I first walked into Saigon Spa, it seems that my mom and I walked into the team mid-IT phone call. There were three staff behind the counter, huddling around the phone. It seemed like Saigon Spa was replacing their internet router, as there were boxes left open on the lobby's sofa. It wasn't a horrendous sight, but it definitely wasn't professional either. I made an appointment with Saigon Spa on the phone that morning, so it wasn't like we arrived unannounced. After my mom and I stepped in, none of the staff cared to tidy the boxes and offer us a space to sit in the lobby. So we instead sat on the bench in front of the doorway. When I think of a spa, I envision a sense of luxury and excellence customer service. Instead, I feel a bit neglected. Issue 2: Saigon Signature Massage I bought my mom the "Saigon Signature Massage," which is described as, "Our specialty massage and most recommended service. Combine with therapies of Swedish massage and Hot Stone," per their online webpage. As I was checking my mom in, there was a section asking if I wanted to add any inclusions for a small charge. I thought the Saigon Signature Massage already came with hot stones, but it was still on the optional inclusions list. I asked the receptionist to double check if the Saigon Signature Massage already has hot stones included. The receptionist assured me it did, so I did not make any selections on the optional inclusions list. On the ride home, I asked my mom about her massage experience. She described how talented her masseuse was, and how she felt so good. I was happy to hear that. I asked her how she did with the hot stones, but she informed me there were no hot stones. I was instantly confused. From what I read, and from what I was told, the Saigon Signature Massage should have hot stones. Where does the miscommunication lie? read more

I came in with a friend to get a Saigon signature massage for 75 minutes. We got there early and still weren't let into our rooms until ten minutes after our appointment times. I figured it was no big deal but then the massage ended 10 minutes early. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they dismissed me. When i insisted, they talked to the masseuse who also said she did the full time. I then brought out my picture of the clock that I took after I got up- saying no, she ended early. They argued saying the clock was off and I said it was the same in my phone. After all this back and forth, they refunded me for that amount of time ($20 I believe) and I appreciated that. It wasn't about the money, it was about the principle- I paid for 75 minutes and I received, at most, a 60 minute massage. I just finished a 75 minute deep tissue + body scrub with Sarah. I'll admit I did minimal research- I chose this place because I had class pass credits expiring tomorrow and I couldn't go far from work. The experience far exceeded expectations. To begin the massage Sarah moved around my body feeling around in a way that at first made me question what I had gotten myself in to. When she really got started though- she honed right into all the places where there was tension and focused primarily on those areas. And It wasn't just with her hands- somehow I had failed to notice the bars on the ceiling to support her balance as she used by body as a balance beam. I had no idea that the tightness I was holding needed toes to be set free. Sarah moved my extremities in positions I wasn't sure possible. It was like a stretch lab session and massage all in one. This was probably the worst massage I ever received. They had no idea what they were doing. Seemed like they were just told to massage someone and never had training or even a massage themselves prior to conducting the massage. No pillows for your feet so my bad hurt worse leaving, as I laid flat the entire 1.5 hours on the bed. They left to get hot stones ( I assume since they just left randomly) - left the door wide open while I'm laying on the table. So inappropriate. The whole thing was strange and weird.
