Years ago, probably 15 years or so, my massage therapist (and also my wife's) moved away from the area. We looked for a new therapist for months and finally found David. Since then, we have been going to him religiously every month. David is the most intuitive and talented massage therapist I have ever experienced. There is no need to tell him where it hurts because he will locate the area right away and get rid of the tension or pain that bothers you. Looking for the best massage of your life? I'm sure everyone is great at Verde Touch and I was brought to this place by a friend who highly recommended David (the owner). BUT this review is mainly about the AMAZING Kat! I started seeing her for a prenatal massage, then postnatal and now normally deep tissue. She's done trigger point with me which is when she holds a point and I breath into it as well as pin and stretch technique. Today we did deep release technique- psoas release. She has been influenced by Rolphing and has studied miofascial releasing technique. She specializes in Integrated Therapeutic, Motherhood / prenatal, Thai, Acupressure, East / West, Trigger point and Deep Tissue. I have been to A LOT of spas and seen many massage therapist all over the country / world and she's tied for first place in my book. I just went in at the house location and was glad I did! I am suffering from a dance injury/ recent uber accident pain, and found this place nearby. David was very personable, explained the different muscles associated to my injury, and targeted my muscles from different angles. This was my first time doing a specialized massage like this so I didn't know how much to pay, but I felt no pressure from him setting a certain amount. If you are still debating like I was, I'd highly recommend you give it a try! He has adorable cats as well, but you can also be in a room if you're not a cat person. I got a prenatal massage at 37 weeks and an induction massage at 39 weeks from Jess at Verde Touch. I wish I would have found this place sooner. It's absolutely the best prenatal massages I have ever gotten. Jess is thoughtful and carefully listens to your body through the process. Highly recommend an induction massage towards the end of your pregnancy when things are really uncomfy - not to mention I went into labor the next day! I've been a client of Verde Touch for over 4 years and originally found them serendipitously through a simple search on Yelp when I was pregnant. Verde happened to be very close to my home and I decided to give them a try. They've been a key part of my wellness practice and I'm grateful to David and his wonderful staff for keeping me relaxed, grounded and healthy throughout the years so I can simply be a better human :). They've revitalized me through ongoing massage during my pregnancy and well after, healed me through a horrible car accident and continues to surprise me with their craft approach to the art of massage. I value my well-being especially living in Silicon Valley where it's hectic and frequent many spas around the world. Nothing compares to Verde when it comes to a nurturing, intentional, unpretentious and integrated massage experience. Here's my recap: Massage - David is an exceptionally talented therapist himself while also spending many hours training each and every therapist 1 on 1 for quality and consistency. Ambiance - Minimal, inviting, intimate, unassuming. I love it. There's a natural, deeply fragrant smell of the handmade, organic salve made in house, minimal greenery, plush furniture and wood accents that create a warm atmosphere. Water - Reverse osmosis citrus water is clean, pure, refreshing and sooo delicious. Organic Massage Salve - Is used during the massage and infused with quality, Young Living essential oils of your choice (or my favorite, therapists choice). I've used it as a hair mask, moisturize my toddler's skin, moisturize my lips and a plethora of other usages. It's made of organic coconut oil and beeswax and Verde magic. They sell it and I have a tub laying around everywhere - car, bedside, work. Location - Los Altos (cozy corner nook and upstairs location), Hotel Los Gatos, and soon, downtown Palo Alto yay!. Great locations and all unique in their own way and very accessible. Berries! Yes, raspberries, every single time, there for you to enjoy. I munch on them often :) Automated booking App - Lifesaver. I always forget to schedule and with the app, you can pre book immediately or even find sessions last minute. It's been wonderful for not only myself but for my friends and family (i.e. family coming from out of town). The ease of scheduling is amazing. Cost - Reasonable considering all the personal care Verde puts into supporting your well-being. There are so many promotions as well (birthday, try new therapists, etc). I have been going to David for massages for the past two years. I met him in Palo Alto and now see him in Mountain View. He is one of the most talented masseuses that I've been to (and this is in comparison to a large number of high-end spas, wellness clinics, and 5 star resorts internationally.) His decades of experience is obvious and he even makes his own massage oil. He is fast to respond to requests and is always a consummate professional. I see him for relief of stress, neck and low back pain, and always leave feeling incredible. Despite my crazy working mom schedule, he always fits me in and provides an incredible experience. David is such a gifted and thoughtful therapist. I was referred to Verde when I had a shoulder injury that I wanted to work on repairing myself before potentially having surgery. David really worked with me to release the tension I was holding in my shoulder, helped me regain range of motion, and strengthen it for full use. I had consulted an orthopedic surgeon who was sure I was going to need reconstructive surgery but after working for a few months with David and doing strength building exercises my right shoulder is stronger than my left which was not injured. David creates a very personal experience aligned with your goals and provides awesome guidance between massages as well. Let me start by saying my first massage here was absolutely amazing - the masseuse was named Sammie and it was hands down, best massage I've ever received. I got their annual membership on the spot. My next massage was good - not bad, not great. My most recent massage was terrible. Even with member pricing, these massages are expensive. I've gotten $30 massages that were better than what I received today. The masseuse asked what areas to focus on and proceeded to ignore those areas for the most part. I also asked for a lot of pressure which was met with medium pressure at best. The masseuse seemed to not know how to correctly massage shoulders and spent most of her time rubbing my arms (which were not the areas I asked her to focus on). I left with a still very tight and achey back along with a new kink in my neck. Overall, very disappointed with the declining quality of service here. Given the prices, you can certainly find better quality massages elsewhere. read more

David promptly responded to my appointment request with times and therapists available for the very next day. The studio isn't clearly visibly from the road but when you walk up the stairs the ambiance feels like a garden and is very zen. The masseuse who did my session let me pick essential oils to blend into a cream that they customize and make in house. After a 90 minute session I was very relaxed and got just the right amount of conversation and quiet time in the session. The prices are much higher than I expected and I wish they'd done a more thorough consultation to understand why I was getting a massage and what my body needed. But they typically encourage memberships where you can get matched with their therapists who best suit your needs, they can come to you for an additional fee, and they offer a 33% discount with the membership so it makes up for the price of the membership itself. Although I don't go to massages enough to justify being a member this place is worth the investment if you plan on committing to maintaining your wellness in this way. Five stars! read more

I visited Verde Touch on the recommendation of my yoga teacher, and I'm so glad that I did! The staff doesn't always pick up phone calls, but you can try to call for an appointment or book it online. You will get a text confirmation. It's easy to miss this location since no big boards are indicating where the spa is. But the building is right on Distel Drive; you can find parking in the basement and walk up a flight of stairs to the entrance. It also helps that once you book an appointment, you're given directions and which suite your appointment is in. Like most spas, this one has a welcoming lobby with gentle music and soothing aromas. The staff is courteous and helpful! I've had massages with Heidi and Saundra, and both were incredible. I plan to go back for more massages with Saundra, as she got the right pressure at the right points for me. I think it's cool that the therapists know exactly how to position you if you're in for a prenatal massage. The bed supports you well, there are plenty of pillows available, and you can rest assured that your therapist will ensure your comfort. The salve they use for massages smells and feels incredible; luckily, you can buy a small tub right there! I'm really looking forward to going back here. Love how peaceful this space is, and every therapist I've had has been wonderful. I've had a LOT of massages, and this is the first place I've found where every therapist is five stars! Rose and Monti stand out as two favorites, and I love that I can still get massages here now that I'm pregnant. I've been telling all my friends about this place as it's true therapy. I've been a few times now and have seen a couple different massage therapists, both which have been absolutely incredible. I would never go anywhere else. You walk into the space, which is obscure from the outside, yet easy to find, and immediately feel relaxed. There are so many peaceful nooks and crannies to chill out in either before or after your massage, which is in a private dome and is very relaxing. I tried a prenatal massage here when my usual prenatal gal broke a finger. The atmosphere was so beautiful and tranquil, it's amazing. I have never tried the just one foot off the floor tables with the belly cutout before coming here. I think I would have been far more comfortable higher off the floor, I just kept picturing my therapist having to lay down on the floor to get to me. Her pressure was all over the map on my various body parts, which was either due to the fact that she has no strength at that angle or maybe she was very tired from a full day. To be a bit nit picky, I was also coated in a thick layer of oil at the end to the point where redressing was tricky. David was so responsive and helpful when I was running 5 min behind to pass the message onto my therapist. He was proactive in getting me my water bottle back that I left behind. If I did not have to get here at rush hour, I would love to come back and try another therapist, you get first time discount with every new therapist you try, which is a great incentive. I do wish the tables were better positioned higher for the therapists, ergonomically. read more

I reached out to Verde Touch very last minute to schedule lymphatic drainage massage after my surgery. My doctor recommended that I get 2 lymphatic massages for 5 weeks. David responded very rapidly and was able to accommodate the next day. He is very professional. The environment is very upscale and relaxing. Had my first prenatal massage with Adeline and it was amazing. She still used a good amount of pressure and really worked out the knots in my shoulders and neck, even showed me some stretches to help. The bed is really comfortable with the hole for the tummy and boobs and she even put a pillow around my pelvis to really make sure I'm comfortable. When you are on your back, Adeline had a ramp and lots of pillows to make sure I was sitting up and comfortable. It was such a great massage that I joined the wellness membership right after. This was not the right place for me. For starters the location set up was a little strange and the bathroom is a completely separate part intended for the use of the entire building. Not the best when pregnant and doing a massage. *needing to use the bathroom often, it is inconvenient if you need to go mid massage Going in I was a bit confused if I was in the right suite since you're immediately in a waiting area and no one else was around.. Once she did come get me she pretty much got straight to the massage. She didn't ask any questions about previous massages, what I normally like or what I wanted. I made a point to mention my problem area. The room was horribly hot. I asked her to turn off the heater but I was horribly uncomfortable the entire massage. It felt like I felt like the massage was more focused for relaxation than helping pain. I specifically chose this person because it says she specializes in back and hip.. I also prefer more finger work while she used pretty much anything but.. The table was also quite uncomfortable, it has holes for your breast and belly, but it was awkward getting into and it's not at all designed for those of us with larger breasts.. I did quite enjoy the end neck/head massage and I was happy she wasn't chatty like some massage therapists I've had, but ultimately I felt like I wasted my time and money. Overall the massage therapist was nice but both the environment and the massage was just absolutely not for me. I feel quite bummed since there are so many great reviews specifically about prenatal massage. I would personally not recommend nor will I be returning. read more

Boyfriend and I came here for the first time and was blown away at the skills of Victoria and Rose. We have jobs that gave us knots in several different places in our bodies. They've managed to make it dissipate! We were cheerfully greeted by David the owner then was introduced to the massage therapists on the second floor where the massages took place. We were invited to pick out an essential oil fragrance of choice that they make in house but we decided to pass on it. We were pumped to try this place. Really disappointed. After reading all these five star reviews, I was really looking forward to my massage. I communicated that I have lower back pain and shoulder pain because of my job. But after the massage, nothing is relived. I am actually on yelp again to look for another massage place. Also, the price here is almost the same as getting a massage from Ritz or four seasons but without a real spa experience, ie, no steaming room, etc. I still tipped almost 20% so the price tag for this disappointment is even higher. I do have to make a disclaimer-it could be just my massage therapist that is not up to the standards of this place. But again, at a high price, I am not sure if I want to come back and try different massage therapists to find one that can relieve the pain in my back. read more

Very happy with Verde Touch! The Los Altos location isn't as aesthetically pleasing as the location in Los Gatos (a beautiful hotel vs older office space) but Saundra is awesome. Have seen her for two prenatal massages (I am 35 weeks pregnant) and would highly recommend. She has great techinque while also gentle and soft to the touch. Excellent balance that is hard to find. She's worked on my upper, lower back and neck area. My only feedback to VT is that I always have a challenge with the massage pregnancy tables. Carol is AMAZING at deep tissue and includes techniques like shiatsu. She is great at reading your body and working out knots and tight muscles. I've tried a few other therapists and they are unfortunately not as good as Carol because I like deep tissue and have a lot of knots. They are probably better suited for people who want a relaxation type massage instead of a deep tissue massage. Advice on booking is to do it online or text Heather.
