Ok, I have only like 1-2 massages out of MANY I've received in my life but this place is beyond better than expected. I went in for neck pain actually, and the session was so good I went back again. David and his team are awesome and well worth the money hands down. They also ask how the pressure is which I like because I'm generally pretty shy to say what I need. Anyways, I recommend anyone to try this place out. Rooms are a calm relaxed vibe, oils used smell so good, and they are just extremely accommodating to your needs. Two thumbs up for sure! read more

Amazing prenatal massage today. The only regret I had when I left was that I had waited until almost my due date to get one! I have had a lot of lower back and hip pain during my third trimester and Dave was able to loosen so many tight muscles and ligaments that I left able to walk with next to no pain. Got three massages from David: 1. Regular, 2. Prenatal, 3. Prenatal/labor inducing They were all great and so relaxing. He knows the body so well! I'm going to focus on the labor inducing one. I was 40 weeks 2 days pregnant and really needed to alleviate some tension. He asked if I was interested in the labor inducing massage and I thought I would give it a try even though I was not crazy on labor inducing techniques. The massage was as relaxing as the prenatal and I started having contractions (not painful) right there, as he pressed on certain labor inducing areas. I left relaxed and excited and went about my regular day. 12 hours later I woke up in active labor and exactly 24 hs after the massage my baby girl was born! As he said, I think it only works if your body is ready, but I feel like he really helped things speed up. Thank you David! Should be back for a post partum soon. read more

After reading the other reviews on yelp, I went into Verde Touch for a prenatal massage and it was wonderful! I had been to 2 other places for pregnancy massages and both were not relaxing, and even worse they made me feel uncomfortable. The problem with these places (and other prenatal massage places in the bay area) is that they make you lay on your side and they do not use enough pressure. I know this because after receiving the 2 crappy massages, I called before trying out a 3rd place, to ask if they had a table with a hole in it for pregnant women. Verde Touch is the only place I found that did. And David was the only masseuse who actually used enough pressure so that i could get some relief. Bottom line, if you are pregnant don't waste your time going anywhere else! Even if you are not pregnant I would recommend Verde Touch. They really care about your well being and spend extra time addressing areas that may be bothering you. read more

Update (11/14/10): first massage with David after baby. My shoulders ached, my neck was sore, lower back...all from carrying my little 4.5 month bundle of joy around. I walked out of there, well, I floated out of there feeling like a million bucks. He focused on those areas with a perfect amount of pressure to work out the kinks! Soooooo worth it and sooooo good, will be back! April 2010: I also read the other reviews on yelp and decided that my sore hips and lower back were calling out for a prenatal massage. I am in my third trimester and am starting to feel more strain with the added weight and bigger belly. Three words about the experience - wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I highly recommend David - as others have mentioned - he uses the perfect amount of pressure and has a table with cut-outs to accommodate the belly and chest when laying on your front side. He paid extra attention to the areas where I had the most discomfort (did I mention my hips and lower back??). I know I will sleep well tonight! read more

OMG..OMG...OMG!!! I have, in my collection of decades been to quite a few massage "therapists" and TODAY I found one that I can say is the best I have ever had. I yelped massages and found Verde and David just a couple of doors from my home. I emailed and within HOURS I received a response with a couple of options for the upcoming week. As a side note, even after I booked my appointment, I have received several emails from David regarding openings for the upcoming week...soooo helpful for us spur of the moment gals!! His treatment room is so COZY and warm and peaceful and snuggly and comfy and safe and secure and just a wonderful place to RELAX...and the massage hasn't even started yet...did I say it was peaceful as well? There was no chatting as David started promptly at the appointed time and delegated all of my blissful 90 minutes to the great touch of healing. I must admit I nodded off a bit which bums me out cuz it means I missed a couple minutes of the wonderful service. Verde Touch is a very special place, and no other massage nor 5-star hotel spa will ever compare to what I've experienced here. (I am no longer looking forward to a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons spa massage because I know it will simply not compare) Being messaged by David V. will leave you in the most relaxed state you've ever been in... and you will float out of there once it's over. I'm consistently in a euphoric-fog upon the completion of my weekly 75-minute massages and cannot say enough about the care he takes to ensure pure relaxation in his clients. He is truly gifted and talented at his craft, and it's apparent that he really cares about the therapeutic well-being of his (lucky) clients. Furthermore, David does an incredible pre-natal massage as well where you lay on your stomach on a special table-bed close to the ground. I went in yesterday to get the labor inducement massage with Nadya. The facility has a special massage table for pregnant women with a hole for the belly. It is very comfortable, especially because I have been dreaming to lay on my stomach for many months now =) Nadya is a truly great specialist, her firm touch helped me to let all the tensions go from my muscles. The massage included all body with emphasis on acupressure points for labor induction. Most importantly, Nadya helped me to get rid of buzzing thoughts in my head, to slow down, to return to my body and to get into deep mindful relaxation. I left the office a totally different person. I sat down in a patio for half an hour and meditated after the massage. It was a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Hopefully the techniques to bring on labor naturally will work soon! A few days ago I was really ticked to find that my Thermae Spa gift card was useless because it had gone out of business as well as its successor, Kings Road. I learned that David was willing to honor Thermae / Kings Road gift cards / certificates. His goal is to obtain new clients. He's got me! I went to him for an hour massage and it was one of the best massages ever! It was truly a full hour massage. Other 1-hour massages that I've had included changing time and relaxation or "cool down" time. David worked on me throughout the hour. I tend to be very ticklish and dislike my sore muscles drilled down into, but David skillfully relieved my stress with just enough pressure. I flinched at one point when he rolled over a sore and sensitive muscle and David immediately took a different approach. Frankly I was a bit apprehensive at first having a male therapist massage me in a fairly private environment. It ended-up being an amazing experience and I would definitely go back to David. One additional note... he doesn't play corny relaxation music. : ) read more

This place should be called Golden Touch as David's got it. I have had plenty of massages from different types of establishments. As the big spas have their advantages (i.e., showers, hot tub), it often lacks a personalized touch and if you find a therapist you like, the turnover at these places are so high consistency is unlikely. I've started preferring going to smaller massage studios, although it doesn't have all the peripheral services one would find in a bigger establishment, you'll find what you're looking for in a session. I called David for a same day appointment (I figured it was a long shot given all the spectacular reviews David has received -- his schedule must be jam packed), but David called within an hour and said he can see me in 45 minutes. Perfect! I had high hopes that he will remedy the headache I have caused by my tight shoulders and neck. To cut to the chase, the massage was exquisite! David was thorough in making sure he hit all the muscle groups on my back, shoulders and neck using a combination of deep pressure and arm rotation. Thanks, David! David is the absolute best massage therapist that I've ever been to. I had sciatica for about 4 years after my son was born and had been going to a chiropractor and massage off and on. It would help, but never really took care of the problem. After a couple of sessions with David, my pain was gone. And if I start feeling it again, one session with him does it. I also see him to help with general tension and stress. I know David has a lot of female clients who are completely devoted to him as he is very respectful and makes you feel at ease even though you are lying naked under a sheet. His massages are relaxing and therapeutic. He's a down-to-earth, 30-something with whom I feel totally comfortable. His style is very soothing, but he's super strong and can work out the knots or do deep tissue if you need. He calls it his "Silicon Valley Special"! David can either see you at his studio or will come to your house. I work full-time and he comes in the evening to my home which makes it so much easier to schedule a massage. He will travel the Penninsula area and I think works any day you need. I've heard he's good at pregnancy massage too. read more

Thanks to a Juice in the City deal, hubby and I have been seeing the therapists at Verde Touch for nearly a year now. I was a bit apprehensive when I first walked into the massage room and saw the "table" was on or very close to the floor. Shira's gentle demeanor quickly put me at ease and I was able to relax into the wave-like energy of her therapeutic hands. I felt like I was floating in the ocean! In addition to being a CMT, Revital is a registered yoga teacher and a dancer with supreme poise and elegance, which flows through her hands, as well. David, as others have already described, is one of the most intuitive therapists ever. He created his unique massage style based on his belief in the human need for touch and connectedness. He can provide deep pressure where necessary, a sublime sense of relaxation on the toughest of days, and expert technical skills always. I had an amazing prenatal massage with Heidi today! She covered everything - back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, feet, etc. and I felt so relaxed afterward. She made sure to check in with me to see if the level of pressure felt ok throughout. I'm kind of a massage newbie, but everything felt great and the oils she used smelled amazing. I also loved how she laid hot towels over my back and feet. She was kind and had a calming presence. Their massage table with a cut-out for the belly is very comfortable and allowed me to lie flat face-down for the massage. Toward the end Heidi had me switch positions to lie on my back with a big wedge under my upper body to keep me propped up, since it's not safe to lie flat on my back after the first trimester. The office is conveniently located right off El Camino, but a bit hard to find. I ended up wandering around the office park across the street for a while before I found it. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have a receptionist or anyone who picks up the phone, so I was on my own when I got lost. For the record, it's located right on the street, on the second floor of the office building across the street from 730 Distel Drive, which has a big parking lot out front. It's not particularly well-marked but there is a sign out front when you get up close. The lobby is comfortable and relaxing, and Heidi met me there when she heard me come in. They have water and berries available to snack on, and accept cash/check/credit cards. They don't seem to have dedicated parking but there was plenty of street parking available. I found the online booking pretty easy, but didn't love that I had to download an app and make an account just to book an appointment. I'm not sure if you can book by phone - you would have to leave a message and wait for a call back. read more

Only a block off of El Camino, yet a world away! I was able to book a massage with Noelle (highly recommended!) easily and she had a late appointment which works well with my busy schedule. I don't get massages very often so when I do get one I want it to be thorough, deep, and with a nice clinical approach to get stuff done! The Office: Verde Touch is nicely located, easy parking, and has a very "Zen" vibe to the office. The Massage: Noelle was really welcoming asking if I needed any water, how was the room temp, and of course if I had any previous injuries or areas she wanted to focus on. From there she got right in to the massage. She is so nice, but when the massage starts she gets to business. She began by what it felt was like an assessment of my "tight" areas then got to work on trigger points, adhesions, and just "stuff that hurts". I initially told her she could go hard which was a good thing because she is a powerhouse--I felt things release that have been tight for what feels like forever! The End: She even gives warm towels wrapped around your feet! My mother is in from out of town and her sciatic nerve flared up and she was in a lot of pain. After a quick search on yelp I discovered Verde Touch and thankfully David was able to fit her in Miranda's schedule for the next day. The office is lovely very tranquil and warm (nothing worse then a massage in a cold room). My mom said Miranda was amazing. She really concentrated on the offending nerve and it was a "hurt so good" experience. When my mom needed a break Miranda would help her stretch or move on in a traditional massage pattern until she was ready for another round on the sciatic. 24 hours later and my mom cannot believe the difference Miranda was able to work in her pain level. After today I can see why Verde Touch is 5 stars! I am 20 weeks pregnant and have been having low back & hip discomfort during this pregnancy. I have been going to a variety of spas for deep tissue & now a prenatal massage and haven't found one that I truly liked until today! I found Verde Touch via YELP and was reading all the wonderful reviews and decided to book last minute. Fortunately David was available & was able to book my prenatal massage first thing in the morning. The location was easy to find (luckily l live close by) and in a tranquil/serene environment. Due to my last minute booking I was afraid I was going to be late, but David warmly welcomed me with a sincere and genuine smile, then started the prenatal massage on time. The prenatal massage table was just what I needed... To be able to lie prone without having to worry about the growing baby or lying on my side. It was very comfortable & the temperature was just right in the room. David's firm and relieving pressure was perfect. Other prenatal masseuse I've had before always said they couldn't apply stronger pressure or recommend It due to it causing contractions, but David knew exactly where to go and how much pressure to apply without me saying anything. I know many massage therapists may feel hesitant on where to apply touch and pressure on a client, but David's technique is absolutely a gifted touch that he has been blessed to have. It was thoughtful of David to ask me if I was doing fine and checking if the pressure was good for me. I left the facility feeling like I was floating on water with a pure sense of relief.... I scheduled a prenatal massage with Shira the first time almost 8 months pregnant, not knowing what to expect, but it was the best massage of my life. I immediately rescheduled a second, and I am going to try to sneak one more in before my due date. Shira is amazing, has a great calming energy, and she does not skimp out on you. I felt like time just stretched like a delicious ocean. Laying on your belly when you are that pregnant is bliss already, thanks to their special table, but she seemed to know exactly where I was the most uncomfortable and what areas were the most sensitive. I have been coming to Verde Touch monthly for almost two years. This place offers an atmosphere that's really relaxing, every time I come here it feels like to take a deep breath and truly stop for a moment so that you can observe and enjoy the "now" from everyday busy life. I highly recommend therapist Saundra. I have had some lower back discomfort after I had my baby, and also a lot of tension around my shoulder and back from carrying and holding him. However, each time after Saundra's massage those discomfort would melt away, and I would feel completely refreshed. Just had the most amazing prenatal massage with David, easily one of the best massages I've had in a long, long time (prenatal or not)! For mamas2be, they have the special table with a cutout for your tummy, so you could have a close to regular massage versus being on your side. I usually like deeper pressure massage, and really missed that with the last prenatal massage I got. But David used the perfect amount of pressure for me without saying a word. Yes! That's what a massage should be like!!! It starts off with meeting David, who is so friendly and attentive that it's a pleasure just to meet him. The massage room was very clean and inviting, the massage table just a few inches over the ground is unusual, but not uncomfortable. A great smell and gentle music made me feel comfortable instantly. David asked which areas I would like to focus on, and confirmed that the pressure is right and whether I feel fine several times throughout the session. His technique is indescribable. You just have to try it for yourself. He always finds the right pressure, and the exact muscles that are tense. He manages to loose them up through acupressure, kneading and strokes. I loved that he never lost body contact with me throughout the whole hour, which made me feel very safe and adds to the intimate setting. Been a frequent client for the past 4-5 years and gotten my monthly prenatal massages here for both pregnancies here. It's hard to find a place that allows pregnant women to lay on their stomach but they have specialized beds here for that. I do not find any relief when I do side lying for prenatal massages, so I make the 30-min drive out here for my massages. Hands down the best massage I've ever received. I usually frequent day spas and hotel spas for my massages and always thought my massages were fine. My acupuncturist (Kim Silsby at White Peony who I also highly recommend!) recommended David at Verde Touch for a prenatal massage when I was in my third trimester so I gave it a shot. Had I known about Verde Touch earlier, I would have come here monthly during my entire pregnancy! What makes Verde Touch unique are their prenatal massage tables. Their tables sit a few inches off the floor which allows your therapist to really leverage their body weight during the treatment. The tables also have cut outs for your tummy. At first the thought if this freaked me out (will gravity pull down on my stomach to the point of discomfort?) but there is mesh netting underneath the cut out that supports your growing belly. After months of refraining from laying on my back and stomach, it felt SOOO good to do so during this massage. Other spas that do side lying prenatal massages just don't compare. David is also incredibly kind and respectful. I am used to having female therapists work on me but David put me at ease and made me feel totally comfortable. He's also very responsive and flexible when it comes to scheduling. Verde Touch has more of a relaxing, hippy dippy feel so don't come here expecting a 5 star hotel spa atmosphere. However, if you're looking for the best massage of your life, this is the place for you! read more

Her hands felt like warm butter and her techniques were top notch. She certainly has a healing presence! It was peaceful, relaxing and perfect the entire 75 minute massage. I left there feeling very rejuvenated. If you are looking for a commercialized spa, this place is not for you. However, if you're looking for a place that cares about their clients and are truly talented without all the glitter and fuss of a day spa than Verde Touch it is. Jodi CURED my back pain; I am a fan for life! I'd been under a lot of stress with a new job and a big move and unfortunately, as someone who stores their stress IN their back, a minor muscle pull turned in to a two-week pain-filled ordeal. In desperation I turned to Yelp to find a good masseuse, and thankfully I found Verde Touch and Jodi. Her massage was a deep one, but when I woke up the next morning I woke up with NO pain, and have been fine ever since; no pain meds needed at all--and I was practically living on them during the two weeks before I decided that I needed a massage. I had such a great time with Heidi. She made me feel like every part of my body was getting specific attention. I like the mix of honey , coconut water that they used over there. My upper back is usually super tense and it always hurts when I get a massage. With her I had very minimal feeling of pain. She also made a point in keeping me warm during the massage which I LOVE as I am always cold in these rooms and can t quite relax because of that. Anna was amazing at giving me a 75 minute inducement massage! Although I didn't go into labor after it was really relaxing. The prenatal suite was great! They have a massage table with holes for your breasts and stomach. It felt amazing to lay on my stomach for the first time this pregnancy. Anna did a great job placing pillows in different places to provide comfort. The temperature in the room was perfect and Anna checked in frequently to make sure her pressure was good. Booked an appointment last minute and the staff was so sweet. I really appreciated that they were so kind and able to see me. Location is in an office building and kind of tucked away and strange, you can see a dusty patio out the window for example. Pricing runs at $145 fire 75 mins which puts it on par with Watercourse Way. Given the price point and location I would expect the massage to be truly remarkable but it was average, lots of elbows which meant either extreme pressure or not enough. Therapist was so sweet so I feel terrible writing this but I keep forgetting that this place is both expensive and kind of strange. read more

I was very frustrated since it messed up the birthday plan for my girlfriend. However, David was very nice and offered us a free session to make up his mistake in scheduling.
