This is a very late post, but I went here about two months ago for a lymphatic massage. I hate that I can't remember the masseuses name, but she has an amazing soft touch! She was very thorough, because she noticed my muscles were really tight and I'd been experiencing body aches from working so much and not eating right. Booked a lymphatic drainage massage but instead receive a deep tissue. The massage was really painful. At first, it began gently but quickly turned. Once LiLi started to use her elbow on my back I knew this was incorrect. A lymphatic massage is gently and zero painful. She confirmed with me that it was a lymphatic massage. I saw a hesitation implying maybe she's doesn't know; but was only person available. So she went ahead and did it and then asked for a tip afterwards. Worst massage I have experienced. I was sore for two days after! I went in relaxed, came out in pain. All I can say if you like deep tissue massage book with LiLi. read more

Came here for a couples massage and I would not consider returning at this time. I'll break down what worked and what didn't. As a disclaimer, this was only my third or fourth massage, so please read my review with the knowledge that I'm no massage expert! What worked; -- It was very easy and quick to make an appointment online. I was able to quickly book a next day session -- There was plenty of parking nearby and the place was easy to find -- The waiting room was clean and relaxing -- The massage room was quiet and comfortable, and all the staff we interacted with were very friendly -- We paid at the start and tipped that the end, which is a decent system What didn't work: -- My biggest issue is that the massage itself was very painful. Again, I'm new to massages, but even after asking the masseuse to go lighter three times, it was still too intense for me. I noticed that the masseuse (I didn't catch her name) applied tons of pressure to bony areas (shoulder blade, spine, tail bone, etc) which definitely hurt. This was a deep tissue massage, but it felt like a lot of the pressure was focused on my bonier areas rather than on my muscles. I wish the masseuse had been more responsive to my feedback or had checked in to make sure the pressure was okay. It's been a few hours since the massage and I'm feeling uncomfortably tender. I will also note that my partner shared that their massage went well, so my experience may just be unique to me. -- The masseuse also didn't replicate her massage techniques on each side of my body. For example, she popped the fingers of one hand but not the other, stretched one of my legs and not the other. I'm not sure if this was intentional but it seemed odd. -- Not a big issue, but we did have to wait about 15-20 minutes after our original appointment time to do our massage. I didn't mind waiting, but it may be wise not to make any time sensitive plans immediately after your visit here Overall, this place was not for me! I didn't love my massage therapist's work but someone seeking a lot of intensity in their massage may enjoy them more. My partner enjoyed their massage so it seems that experience varies depending on who your masseuse is. read more

update: the spa manager reached out to make things right, and I decided to give them another chance. they made sure to assign someone who specializes in lymphatic drainage massage. mandy provided a completely different lymphatic drainage experience from the first one I had. you can actually feel the gentle strokes helping move excess fluid buildup away. i left feeling lighter instead of walking out with stiff shoulders and an upper back. usually when massage therapists use hot towels to clean your body, they simply wipe the area thoroughly. mandy took it to the next level, she used the hot towels to massage and clean each area as she worked. glad to say I might come back because of Mandy. :) read more

It's been a year since I had a massage at a different place, and wanted to try another business. Booked a 60 minute Neck Pain Therapy session this evening to relieve tension in my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Rachel is professional and very meticulous using deep tissue and acupressure techniques that targeted my knots and small muscles. This also included a head and facial massage which was unexpected and pleasant. So glad I found Lyra and will likely return again. Rachel had tea ready for me at the lobby and it was much appreciated. I went to this spot because I found great reviews here on Yelp even though it is pricey (somethings you normally get during a massage is an add on here). Also my main spot was booked. I was excited because I was overdue for my biweekly massage and have been in a lot of pain special my feet. From the start, they ran a bit late because the lady said they were busy. You walk in and the waiting area is pretty nice however, the room was way too hot it was hard for me to breathe so I had to wait outside until it was my turn. The massage tech was nice. The entire message was not relaxing for me though for a number of reasons. It was too hot for me and I was having a hard time breathing especially face down. When I was asked to turned to my back there was no support under my legs and my entire low back was hurting. The tech was massaging my bones rather than going around it. I booked the Deep Tissue / Swedish Massage and added Thai Massage stretching. I was hoping feet were included as it mentioned on their website, but my tech only touched my ankles to stretch me did not massage my feet at all. I don't think I will be going back. Massage bed was a little hot so they adjusted to cool it down. When I asked her to tone down the massage because it was too hard, she kindly eased up. I went to the at the salon without an appointment; they rang the other customer and said they would reschedule the appointment. They spoke to the manager, she said they could see me. I paid, but two minutes later they told me they couldn't see me after all apparently the customer was on their way. Lyra is great!!! We went to a concert at Levi's Stadium the night before and were beat up from such a good night. We scheduled just the 60 minute massages but should've done the 90 minute because these were the best massages we've ever had! The place was very clean and quiet. I don't get the names of our masseuse's but I had a male and my husband had a female. Their technique and pressure was perfect! They targeted all the right areas and made the experience so relaxing and refreshing, we both felt so loose and light when we left. We even bragged about the massages to our Lyft driver and told him if he ever gets massages, that's where he needs to go! This was my first time at this spa location. The massage itself was okay; however, I had a very unpleasant interaction with the massage therapist. She seemed agitated, rude, and passive when giving instructions on when to move up, down, or turn over on the table. I accidentally laid on the bed instead of the second sheet since those were the instructions provided to me, and she ended up yelling at me and making very rude remarks. After the service ended, she appeared impatient while I was getting dressed and made a rude remark when I came out of the room. Additionally, it felt very unprofessional when she asked if I was going to leave a tip. I still provided a 20% tip, but she seemed upset and appeared to expect more, which was uncomfortable--especially given her demeanor throughout the appointment. I have never had an experience like this before, and it was disappointing. As a healthcare professional myself, I understand the importance of professionalism, respect, and creating a comfortable environment for clients, patients and individuals. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that. Because of this, I would not return to this location or request this massage therapist again. I would recommend focusing on improving customer service and professionalism to ensure a better experience for future clients. read more

Lisa is excellent, focusing on the tight spots but adjusting pressure where it's too sensitive. Appreciate her checking in with the pressure comfort and pivoting when something wasn't comfortable for my shoulder. I walked out of the session with Lisa better and relaxed (jelly legs!). They even let us use the restroom (20 minutes before they opened) and let us get comfortable in our couples' room in preparation for our 90 minute massage unlike another massage place I reviewed last month. The massages were intense. I didn't realize I was so stiff. They focused on the areas we indicated prior to the massage. My masseuse really concentrated on my shoulders. She successfully got the knot out that I had been bothering me all week. I could hear my husband's massuese going to town on his back. She bruised him a bit but got the knots out of his calves.
