I've never done the full rotation of hot tub to dry sauna to steam sauna to cold plunge - it was genuinely painful. If you've never experienced this, be prepared to get your heart racing. I was expecting a relaxing experience, but the saunas will leave you out of breath, and the cold plunge will shock your system. It's supposed to be really good for detoxing your system, and I definitely felt like I sweat out a bunch of toxins. We really enjoyed the massage chairs after this whole rotation and showering. The massage chairs are super comfortable and have a variety of massage options. It was so soothing that I fell asleep during my massage. There are a variety of popular scrub massage options that I did not try this time around. The downstairs co-ed dry saunas were a bit underwhelming. The saunas were comfortably warm and had blankets to rest on. These saunas didn't seem to be for the purposes of detoxing since they were at a moderate temperature. I was so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep in multiple rooms lol. Bay Spa was the perfect introduction to Korean spas, and I will definitely be returning!

Getting scrubbed to death via one of their scrub massage combos and having all of my dead skin scratched off 2. Mix of wet / dry saunas, hot and cold plunges, and other cool rooms to try like cold room, salt room, jade room, and more! 3. The food here was actually pretty good. Had bulgogi and it was great Lowlights: 1. Price of food is very high, but you're paying for convenience 2. Some of the massage chairs were broken / didn't work fully 3. I probably didn't understand it, but the clay room wasn't theraputic and was just super dusty. I probably need to research this one a little more as I'm sure there are benefits What To Expect: 1. Pay at the front, receive your keys to locker room, get changed and shower, use the facilities, literally rinse and repeat 2. (Optional) get an appointment for a scrub - shower and then soak in the hot tub for 20-30 min before the scrub to loosen up the dead skin If you're a first timer to this spa or any kind of Asian spa, I recommend watching a how-to video beforehand to know what to expect!

Review for Immersion Spa ‍…read more I absolutely loved this place, and to this day, I still miss it. When I lived in the Bay Area, I was a faithful and loyal customer at Immersion. It became one of my favorite self-care rituals. I would bring family and friends, and I went regularly--about once every quarter. It was something I always looked forward to. There is currently no Korean spa in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I live now, and the closest option is in Atlanta. So yes... boo-hoo. Nothing quite compares to this experience. What made Immersion special was the sense of freedom and relaxation the moment you walked through the door. The spa is thoughtfully organized, very clean, and beautifully maintained. You store your belongings in secure lockers, receive a waterproof wristband, and then the entire experience begins. I always arrived at least 90 minutes before my massage so I could fully enjoy the amenities. That extra time was part of the magic. My favorite features included: * The hot tub and invigorating cold plunge * The wet sauna and dry sauna * The gentle, calming warmth of the Himalayan salt room * Complimentary roasted tea and water * High-quality bath and shower products in the women's area * A peaceful, well-run environment with clear structure and cleanliness standards Everything felt intentional and relaxing. My go-to service was always the Fusion massage, which blends shiatsu and deep tissue techniques using organic coconut oil. The therapists were incredibly skilled and intuitive--they knew exactly how to work out tension and restore balance. Some of the best massages I've ever had were here. Over the years, prices have increased slightly--as they have everywhere. I remember paying around $100 before COVID, and later seeing it closer to $130. Even so, the value of the experience made it worth every dollar. I was there hook, line, and sinker. A few practical notes for future guests: * Parking is limited and shared with neighboring businesses (including Kumon), so timing matters * The spa has separate men's and women's areas * No outside shoes are allowed inside the spa * Clothing is optional in designated areas, which is standard for Korean spa culture * Plan to arrive early to fully enjoy the amenities before your service One service I personally never tried was the traditional Korean body scrub. I watched others experience it, and while many people love it, it looked a little too intense for my taste. That said, the massages and spa amenities are absolutely exceptional. If you're considering a membership, it's worth exploring. This is the kind of place that becomes part of your routine once you experience it. I still haven't found anything in the Southeast that truly matches the level of service, atmosphere, and overall experience of Immersion. I keep looking--but this one set the bar very high. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

We arrived early so we could take advantage of the showers, saunas and hot tubs. The locker rooms and sauna areas are divided by gender and are full of amenities. After that we met with our massage therapist and had the best 85 minutes of deep tissue work. Post massage we headed back to the separate locker rooms and had full access to the amenities again. Check out was positive and our friends at the front desk were just as supportive and kind. I've seen other reviews of other Spas harassing clients for tips or add on services this is not the case at Immersion. Additionally I left my water bottle at the spa and when I contacted them they had it waiting for pick up. I recommend this place for daddy daughter dates, solo self care or a couples retreat!

I was really made to feel comfortable and welcomed. The massage and masseuse were also professional and friendly. My masseuse really knew what she was doing! Prior to my massage I was asked about my trouble spots and by the time we were done, I felt like a new person! I highly recommend to any person who wants to be treated like a king and rejuvenated by a professional massage don't hesitate to try Sandalwood Thai Massage (New owner-previously Star Thai Massage). Since moving to SV & my new job I've been going here. These massage therapists know what they are…read moredoing and they offer different massage therapy techniques. NaNa/YaYa, I've only had her once but she was amazing and then she left back home :( she was amazing ! However I also had Penkawee the front/manager couple of times and another therapist who are great! I've tried the deep tissue, traditional Swedish, & Thai Swedish combo. All are amazing. I can't say which is my favorite bc I've gone for different occasions. They do stretching in all of them and have some acupuncture pressure points. Nana told me to try a full Thai massage however, I need to prepare for it. I've gone for various MSK injuries and just for relaxation. I just had a Swedish with Penkawee for stress and tension of my upper back & neck due to work and my body feels like butter. I also had a deep tissue massage with her for sports injury and it was so good that I didn't need to come back for a couple of months. They have male therapists for stronger pressure and for deep tissue, medium-strong is just right for me. I really like how they emphasize the different techniques and they are different. You are not paying just for the same massage with different prices. I also appreciate how they focus on trouble spots that you mark so every massage is different based on area of concerns. I usually go in the AM weekdays so it isn't busy and I get in right away. Their tea is comforting after the massage, they also offer water. Zelle or CC payment.
