Cute hole in the wall place that has an unbelievable line at all times of the day, but the line moves fast and the flavors are incredible! I got the salted caramel and was not disappointed at all (they let you try different flavors before ordering, this was the best case of salted caramel I've ever had)! A fantastic hole in the wall to find some great ice cream. They have definitely mastered their craft and create some great flavor combinations. Only grumblings are the scoop size and costs. They are my favorite ice cream shop! Their ice cream is flavorful, creamy, smooth with rotating flavors. They have my all time favorite flavor that is not always there: cookie butter cookie dough. There seems to always be at least one flavor our lactose intolerant friends can have. Their waffle cone is also my favorite - not thick, tasty with confetti melted into it so it has that funfetti taste! It doesn't hurt that the waffle is cute and colorful too. I also really like their large brownies for $2. The service is overall nice and happy. I can't give them five stars for a few reasons. They are pretty popular with lines even though it's 8:30-9 pm on the summer. I had a friend wait in line for 20 minutes (at 4:30pm) and "they had nothing". Lastly, I came by on Easter because they posted on their Instagram that they'd be open until 7pm. I got there at 6pm and they were closed - door was locked, nobody inside. Just came back from the Waffle Prom event at The Scoop, and I am now a believer. At the end we were asked to choose our favorite waffles, and it was difficult to pick just one! The off-menu waffle of basil, bacon, and brie was amazing. Even the plain waffle was great! Jennifer made me an affogatto waffle specially with salted caramel ice cream and I felt a little overwhelmed at the generosity and the deliciousness. Just my wife and I made a trip to South Hill to The Scoop for some ice cream to hold us over until dinner. We loved the neighborhood feel of the shop. Although the we didn't have a large sampling of the ice cream, we enjoyed what we had. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to get a taste of a waffle. Ice cream frozen by liquid nitrogen is something we've only had once before and a method you'd expect to drive up the price. $4 for the "The Scoop" consisting of two flavors is quite affordable. The option I should have chosen was the scoop sampler with 5 baby scoops for $5 so I could get a taste of more of the flavors. They weren't making any batches fresh when we arrived, which may have been better because the super cold temperature can leave the ice cream frozen too solid. Instead our ice cream was smooth, soft, and creamy. There were nine flavors for the day posted and the friendly employee was liberal with samples. After the final decision was made, we sat down at a table outside and enjoyed our ice cream. A pretty classic flavor, the salted caramel stood out with me and was one of the better versions I've had with a nice balance of sweet and salty. With an ever changing flavor list and with yet to try the espresso or the liege waffles, there's no doubt we'll be back the next time we're in town. read more

We stopped in passing through town because I was not ready for the next leg of our trip, and I am SO happy we did. Their ice cream is made with Nitrogen freezing which we saw them doing and it was awesome. The flavors were inventive and the three I tried were so rich and well done (Salted Caramel, Cheese Plate, and Black Currant). I have never had a sweet take on goat cheese actually work so well as in the Cheese Plate ice cream. The waffle was good, but I was way more blown away by the ice cream. As for pricing, waffles qere $6.50 with toppings or $3 with just powdered sugar. Ice cream sizes ranged from 1-4$ so I found it very reasonable compared to lesser quality places! Ok. My expectations for this place weren't very high at first. It was a shotgun addition to our transcontinental road trip and quite frankly, I was ready to leave Spokane. Thank god we didn't. This place uses liquid nitrogen for their ice cream. The result? Ice cream so creamy and soft that it rolls off your tongue and makes you produce indecent sounds while sampling their bubblegum or orange dreamsickle or black currant with sour cream flavors. If you have a pet, bring it! They'll give your dog or cat a special ice cream treat for a dollar! The waffles? Delicious and simple, with great consistency and a wide selection of sweet and savory toppings. Parking is super easy and available. Service is impeccably friendly. All flavors are available for sampling, floats, shakes, affogatos and pints. Prices are below 5 dollars for ice cream, and they sell baby scoops for 1 dollar. Cutest neighborhood ice cream place! Literally. Right when I walk up to this place it definitely brings me back to my childhood. Maybe it's the location of being in the center of neighborhood next to a school that does it. Every time I come here they have a different selection of ice creams. This store had many good flavors to try, many of which I haven't seen at other ice cream shops before. I ordered the oreo mint patty flavor and that was amazing.
