Had to check out the local German restaurant- I will say the service was good, they were really friendly and attentive, and the vibe is really chill. Seemed like there were a lot of regulars, which was super cool to see. Being German and loving traditional German dishes, I was super excited to find this place. I will say, it wasn't bad, and different parts of Germany cook differently. Overall we thought it was okay. The prices are kinda high (IMO) which is why I gave it the 3 stars. We ordered the mega pretzel which we felt was tasty, but I wouldn't order it again just because of the price point- and my teens ordered different schnitzel plates and I ordered the Frankfurter plate. I will say they have enough on the menu, and if I went back I would try something else, but overall just a little underwhelmed. Nothing horrible, and if you are in the area or want a fun little experience, definitely go check it out- I also don't drink beer, but of course they have a large menu and serve in glass steins.

Very nice German restaurant in Eagle, tucked away in a business center. Gasthaus decor with an outdoor Biergarten. We visited on Saturday at about noon, and dined Al Fresco in the Garten. The food is very good, one of the better German places we've eaten in the U.S., and we spent many years in Germany. The squeeze and I shared the Zigeunerschnitzel and the single wurst dish. I love the sauce on the Gypsy style schnitzel, all time fave. Personally, I think the sauce needs a touch of cayenne to give it a little spice. Still very good, and the taste authentic. We got it with fries, which were very good. The single brat was smoked and came with sauerkraut and spaetzle, all three of which were tasty. I had a half liter of the Hefeweizen, a yeasty wheat beer that's great on a hot day. It has hints of clove and banana. If you have never had one, you can get a free taste of it. Great service too! Try this place out, they do take reservations.

Please excuse the odd semi repeats of some of my past reviews... for some reason a few restaurants I seem to get logged out before I finish my review... so just added my most recent photos to this review & wanted to give heads up that the quark cheesecake is still the best ever!!! Now I was sorely missing the raisins in the apple strudel, but I guess their new pastry chef isn't as big a fan of raisins as I am... but I'm gluten free so I only get a smidge of a bite of the strudel as it is... if u order just know it may not be loaded w/raisins as in the past. (Their Turkish Baker retired; Rumor has it that the new in town but already has following "European Smak" pastry chef will help fill in that opening.) I must not let do much time go by between visits! Highly recommend whole menu, good for small & large groups. I do always suggest calling ahead, as they run a lean ship, so if a bigger party or special needs, give them time to try to prep. Unreal, what an absolute gem. Nothing but positive things to say about this place and I can't believe the 1 star review I saw. If you don't like good food that's fine save it for the ones who do. Been to Germany a few times and this slapped just as hard. So thankful they take the time to do it right and the hospitality is impeccable. What a great an experience! We will be back asap.

Great outdoor patio, in the shade, that is dog friendly (and they appreciate four legged friends). Service was friendly and efficient. This is REAL German food and they have a great selection. Portions are large. The mushroom sauce (hunters style) on the schnitzel was delicious! Cucumbet salad was a pass for me, not my style but others may like. Beef stroganoff is served over spatzle which is different, but good. Good selection of true German beers on tap. Would repeat.

BEST Dinner ever and beer too! We will be back soon. My in law and husband really have hard time reading a menu. I have read to them they look at me we all laughing.

We tried this place last week - I've seen numerous posts on instagram recently, and it held up to the good billing. We got in easily on a Sunday without a reservation, and the place filled up quickly. The beer is good, and the food is great. Had the Jager Schnitzel and it was awesome. I wasn't crazy about the spetzil - would have had sauerkraut but , believe it or not, they were out!! Service was good, I just wish our pretzel (appetizer) would have come out while we were enjoying our beer and not with dinner. The server was nice enough to let us sample the warm potato salad too. The restaurant is inviting and decorated well. Definitely give this place a try - we will be going back too!

food was just to bland for my taste, but not worth the high price, schnitzel had no flavor , the pork sausages were good, but not $28 good.

Very high quality. Nice people. Like eating in Germany, except without the loitering thieves from far flung places outside.

If your coming here for the first time do not miss the schnitzel meals! It's a good hearty meal to fill a hungry belly! The pork is flattened thin, cooked perfectly and the breading flavorful and crispy. The fries thicker cut, skin on and nicely salted, yum! I had the Donor Kebab this time because I hadn't tried it yet and I have been missing out. It was really good! The mixed meat was on point and cooked just right. The veggie combinations were different then what I'm used to with kebabs but it worked really well. They had red cabbage, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, and pepperoncinis. The pita was wrapped in a thin, yet thick enough wrap to hold it all together and it was a perfect compliment to this Kebab! You can also never go wrong with any sausages, bratwurst or bologna. I like that they don't have a huge menu because everything you get is quality ingredients made with care. Did I mention beer? They have a multitude of glasses and form factors to pour into. The owners and employees have been consistently very kind and helpful with any questions I have about the market or restaurant since the beginning. Speaking of the market, they have always had great and fair prices with their imported items and its one of the only places in town that has quality European dark chocolates. Definitely do not miss this stop if you like good beer and excellent food!

I checked reviews and the menu on here and was torn between a Reuben and a schnitzel sandwich. I went with the schnitzel and it is a five star sandwich for sure.
