Heavy Kevi's Famous Beef Brisket Bourbon Apple Slaw Cornbread Buffalo Bacon Potato Salad
Kimberley A.

Fried green tomatoes 8/10 Tomatoes were tender. Cooked well. Breading was cornmeal, not the biggest fan of it because it's gritty, heavy, and falls off very easily. Tangy Chipotle dipping sauce was delicious, great flavor, a little sweet and a little spicy. Heavy Kevi's Famous Beef Brisket 10/10 Amazing as always!! They got rid of all their bbq sauce flavors, so sad!!! Elote 10/10 Same as before, a cold salad, little spice, very delicious! Salt Potatoes 7/10 Last time they were more salty and buttery, this time more plain. Not as good as before.

This place is soooo good. The chicken sandwiches were huge, BBQ platters were stacked tall, my elote tacos were to die for. Drinks were great, staff was lovely. Everything we had was delicious, highly recommend

Heavy Kevi's Famous Brisket, Mac & Cheese, honey cheddar cornbread, bourbon apple coleslaw

I've walked by The Rusty Pig dozens of times and hadn't had the opportunity to stop in until tonight. I ordered takeout around 4:15 and it was ready 20 minutes later. The hostess and bartenders were welcoming. There's definitely a "rustic" vibe to the inside of the restaurant. Their bar seemed to have some interesting drinks as well as all the usuals. There was outdoor seating available as well. I ordered the Brisket dinner and chose Mac and cheese as my side. It also came with honey cheddar cornbread and a bourbon apple coleslaw. The brisket fell apart and was really good. I just wish it had more of the barbecue sauce! Tasted great and had a nice char in spots. The mac and cheese might have been my favorite part is the meal. It's creamy and sharp, it even has a nice kick. I wasn't sure what to expect from the bourbon apple coleslaw, but it was a nice addition to the heavier parts of the meal and had a good sweetness to it. I also ordered an extra side of the baked beans, which were nicely balanced the sweet, savory, and spicy. They had a generous amount of meat in them as well. Everything was nicely packaged for takeout and I do think the price was reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of the meal!

Smokey & The Brisket Cracklins

This is our second time and they did not disappoint. Nice place, clean. Service was great. Our waitress suggested the Smokey & Brisket Cracklins, BBQ Brisket on top of fried pork rinds, pickled jalapeños, and chipotle aioli. Soooooo Good! We couldn't stop eating it. You have to try it. Dinner we got the king pig because we live an hour away and needed leftovers. Lol! It had brisket, ribs, pork belly, pulled pork, cornbread, coleslaw and 3 sides ( chili, salt potatoes and elote corn). We didn't care for the salt potatoes. Literally were just boiled potatoes. No salt, and packets of butter on top of the potatoes. Other than that everything we sure was amazing. This is our favorite BBQ spot and so worth the hour drive.

Cue for 2

Loved this place. Nice outdoor seating. Great server named Frankie. Super helpful and friendly!! Had the cue for 2 and it was amazing. All the meats were tender and very flavorful. Liked the baked beans and potato salad too! Great margarita. Will definitely be back!!

It was nice in here, but just wished they had a kids menu as well as we were traveling with 2 littles. We ended up just getting one of their meat boards to share with everyone.

They were really busy on a weekend night when we got there at 6:30ish so we got window seats! It was a vibe but the seats were slightly uncomfortable because I was too short. My friend and I shared a "Cue for Two". The brisket had some fatty parts on it that were scrumptious (but the leaner parts of the meat were dry). The bangin shorties were good when they were hot/warm but got more tough as it got colder (it didn't help that we sat right next to the front door)! The pulled pork was delicious and had a sweet barbeque flavor that paired so well with the mac and cheese! I thought the fries were crispy and added perfect texture to the meal and broke through the monotony of just MEAT. The slaw failed where the fries succeeded: it was not tasty so it failed to act as a palate cleanser/refresher/compliment to the meat. It tasted like bland apples and was not what I imagined cold slaw to taste like: creamy, crunchy, and fresh. The corn bread came in cute brick shapes and it was a sweet nutty bite that tied everything on the plate together! Our server was very busy but, despite that, she came over to us multiple times to check in on how things were going for us and she paid close attention to when we needed certain things. Though I didnt have the most amazing experience here the first time, I would love to come a second time and try their chicken sandwich and smoked pork belly!

Cute establishment and friendly service. Ordered the cracklins and it was delicious! Also ordered the cue for two with mac and cheese, cole slaw, mexican street corn, The pulled brisket, beef brisket and shorties was on point. It was delicious and tender! Amazing . The sides all lacked flavor and we didn't eat any of the 3 sides. The meat was amazing!

Loaded portobello cap appetizer .

Food was amazing and proportioned well the service was good but the dinning experience was overshadowed by the fact it was cold outside and being dinner time the door was constantly open and closing and we were seated by the door so food got cold quickly and my wife was cold even with my jacket on her lap.. I will go again however it will be summer....

Casual spot on the corner of Linden and Seneca Sts after seeing all the rave reviews we decided to check it out for lunch about 1:30pm on the 4th of July. Outdoor seating in the front which was nice and sunny and along the side with a bit of shade. We decided to dine in. Greeted right away by Erica as she was bringing food to a table of 10 we waited a very few minutes chutes before being seated at the front window. That's where I took the pic of the window from the inside lol. Not overly large but with plenty of seating noise level decent enough we could hold conversation in normal speaking voices. Shortly after being seated we laced our order for the smoked and grilled drumsticks and fries since we had dinner plans but wanted to try the food. We asked if the brisket could be ordered as is rather than as a part of something else and were told no substitutions. When the food arrived we did try the house made barbecue sauce which tasted similar to Heinz with red hot but was good. Fries were perfectly crispy in the outside and tender on the inside. The legs were very chilly in the middle and the meat was dry with a very salty skin likely reheated. I had a blue moon and my co-diner had an iced tea. Erica never reappeared to ask how our food was or to refill our drinks despite there being 4 servers and several empty tables. All in all not impressed with the premade and heated food or the service which was lacking. When asked if we wanted boxes or anything else she did not notice only 2 legs missing from the 6 leg order and never asked how everything was then either. Maybe will try again in the very distant future. For now we will try something else in Geneva next time we go.

4/5 overall for this place. Ambiance and staff were both cool, it's a nice little bbq joint. We ended up ordering some salads because it was SO hot, the thought of eating spicy bbq or Mac and cheese was not it. The pierogi were also pretty good as an appetizer and they were a bit spicy too. Steak salad was my entree and it was tasty. Good flavor with the add ins like the crispy onions. Overall this was a nice place in Geneva and great that is was open later than most other restaurants.

Pulled pork, baked beans, mac & cheese, cornbread, coleslaw

Absolutely love this place. Great decor and feeling on the inside. Service was fantastic and the food was fabulous. As much as I travel and eat out I can honestly say this is some of the best pork pork I've ever had. I would 100% come back here just to get that. If you're in this area, please please please stop and check this place out. you will not go wrong.

So good! We got the brisket, mac and cheese, and the beef short rib was the star of the show.

The van was comfortable, clean, and roomy, and we had a blast during our jumps between wineries playing DJ and singing along to the glory of the early 200s. Our group had a couple hiccups when the day got started that Zach went above and beyond handling--like our Airbnb door not closing (bizarre, I know!), and Zach was kind enough to help us fix it so we could get on our way. All around wonderful experience; I would not hesitate to book again if (hopefully, when!) I am back in the area. Thank you again, Zach! (Also posted on Google reviews by me).

We knew it was going to be a great trip when we got in and Zak simply asked where do you want to go? We said you are from here take us where you would go. He asked white or red? We said red.. We asked him to pick some cool music and he started with Bob Seger Roll Me Away and we were hooked. And so it began, he took us to smaller wineries with excellent products, good pricing, customer oriented and less crowded. Not a single tourist trap. Zak even put up with me pestering him about the bus, the motor, the restoration - I'm a bike and car nut. He even showed me his friend's beautiful european sports car at one winery.. nice! :) This classic VW Westfalia bus has complete charm, a few rattles, old school seat belts, a few bumps on the stone road and cool tunes; she showed us girls old school cool. This ride was exactly what we hoped for, we loved that we could visit, not sit there listening to some over the top driver bugging us with a bunch of chit chat stories, bragging tales of the area or taking over our day; he just let us have fun and relax. In some of the other reviews they wanted more chit chatty tour guide, not us, we want laid back and not trying to struggle talking to each other over a tour guide. We preferred that the wineries give us the tour we wanted and information at each stop. Zak was so polite, very responsive to answered to winery, sites and local questions we had. We enjoyed that he opened the door for us and took us into the wineries and introduced us to the folks there. The folks at the wineries treated us wonderfully and they seemed to be friends with Zak we felt they went out of the way to take care of us. Overall, I have told everyone I meet that this is the way to tour if you are into laid back, peaceful rides with great places to visit. All 4 of us ladies agree, this was the highlight of our trip; Zak and the the Winewagen exceeded ALL expectations. Thanks again! Kris Atwater Oak Harbor, OH

Would have tried a dessert, but the servings were so ample, there was no room. My husband got the tap and spirit duo and he liked the cider so much he got another cider.
