Amazing BBQ restaurant. Great service. Best BBQ I've had in a long time. So good we got a dinner to go the next day to take home with us.

This place is awesome! Always great food and great service. Been here many times, every time does not disappoint. I highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed our sandwiches they were really tasty! My hamburger with gouda cheese, bacon, and mushrooms was seasoned perfectly. The side of bacon aioli sauce was on the mark for flavoring. The hamburger meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly! And the buns went perfectly. My companion enjoyed his BBQ. I also loved the French Fries. Crisp, fresh, and not greasy! Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant. The tiny restaurant /bar was cute. We enjoyed our stay In this lovely lake town. The shopping was great, too! Thanks! Everything was enjoyable and yummy. Yummy been bigger and potatoes. And everything else I tried. Nice atmosphere, friendly, inexpensive. But yummy

The short ribs were boneless and delicious, possibly the best I ever had. However, the sides were fine, not great. The apple slaw was interesting, Texas caviar was slightly bland. The corn bread was good but I had better. They don't take reservations unless you have 5+ people which makes it difficult to get seated especially on a nice day and you want to sit outside. You should add your name to the list an hour before your target meal time. read more

The Rusty Pig - Shortie (short ribs) - Barbeque Near Me - Geneva, New York

This restaurant was literally the only place in town that was "alive"! We had about a 30 minute wait for our table when we arrived at 6:15pm on a Thursday, so we walked around town and most places were completely closed and quiet. A couple restaurants has a handful of people but nothing compared to the crowd at the Rusty Pig. Good service. We started with soft pretzels for an app. The liked the cheese, not too strong of a beer taste. For dinner I had the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. My friend had the ribs and potato salad. We did not like the potato salad - it was basically potatoes sliced in quarters and dipped in hot sauce. Strange taste. Not a fan. Mac n cheese was phenomenal. Seriously. Pulled pork was a lot of meat but very delicious. Ribs had no bones included but were very tender and juicy. read more

100% barbecue!!! If that's not what you're craving, you won't find alternatives on the menu. Reservations recommended even though there's seating available inside and out. We were a large group and were seated inside. It was very hot! Beer was cold! Food was not really special. Our group ordered different items but they all kind of looked the same. Our waitress was extremely friendly, though. read more

Barbecue is so so. Bourbon selection is great. Appetizers are really good. So it's a good place to catch a game and chill out, pretty relaxed scene, something for everyone on the menu. If you're looking for a more food-focused night out there are better options around, but if you're looking for a bar to hang out in around Geneva this place is a great choice. read more

We stumbled upon the Rusty Pig just walking around Geneva, and the smells lured us in. The pork belly was amazing and made us order some to go, and there wasn't a side that was less than stellar. Thank you for putting out such an amazing product, in such a beautiful town. read more

WOW - this mac and cheese was the best I've had in a while. Staff was so friendly - we opted to sit outside to avoid the wait. I'd definitely make reservations if you want to eat here. We started off with the pretzel sticks - I loved them. So soft. Beer cheese was delicious. We devoured those pretty quick. They accidentally served our mac and cheese with an extra side of mac and cheese instead of our Texas caviar - staff quickly brought out the correct side we ordered. We couldn't complain about the extra mac and cheese. We had leftovers, and they were delicious the day after. Texas caviar and potato salad were both great sides to compliment the rest of our meal. Potato salad flavor was punchy and savory. Thoroughly enjoyed dining here. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Geneva. read more

Nice restaurant Very good food.... the brisket sandwich is my favorite. And the big plate with 3 different meat

Found this bbq place while visiting Geneva during Memorial day weekend. The place is on a quaint side street which was closed off to cars to allow for outdoor seating. A live band was also playing on the block. We arrived just before the crowds and were seated in their outdoor area up front. For entrees I got the short ribs with a side of "Texas caviar" a salad of corn, beans, peppers, avocado, plus cornbread. The meat was tender and house bbq sauce was tasty. My hub got the dinosaur shank (giant pork shank), which he liked. For the kids, I got them the pulled pork tacos. Unfortunately, it was so spicy they couldn't eat it, but instead ate the side of Mac and cheese and some of my dish. We told the server it was too spicy for them, but all she offered was for us to look for something else on the menu and stated that it indicates the tacos are spicy on the menu. My expectation was for them to offer to replace the dish, but it didn't happen. I let it go. They liked the M&C anyway. Overall, a nice meal in a chill and relaxed setting. read more

Absolutely delicious! Very busy, so make sure you go there to get in the waiting list with ample time before your desired meal time. We went in the fall and had an hour wait but in the spring we got right in and could sit at the bar. I almost preferred being at the bar because Gail (didn't catch the spelling) was super attentive and gave great recommendations for beers. My husband had the short ribs and I ordered the heavy plate. Tons of food but so worth it! read more

The rusty pig was amazing! They recently moved into a new location and it is really cute inside! All of the food was amazing! I do wish more of their sides were dairy free, but I totally understand that they want the best flavor! The meat and everything we got was so good and flavorful. I would truthfully recommend anything on the menu. Even the salads look good and were huge. They do have long waits on the weekend! read more

Service-Amazing. Ambiance-perfect! Food-wasn't in love with it. - pierogies were greasy, no filling and covered in so much sauce no one at the table could eat them. -coleslaw was so spicy and giant apple chunks, left it on the table. - 6 chicken legs - GREAT! Mac n cheese - wonderful flavor but the pasta was so mushy - which made it, not good! I was disappointed! read more

Service was great, everyone was really nice and attentive! We had to wait about 30 minutes since it was a busy night, but it worked out for us since there was a car show right outside on the street. The Rusty Pig - Barbeque Near Me - Geneva, New York

It was a chilly night in October and The Rusty Pig is a smaller restaurant, so we opted to bear the cold and sit out front. Location was within walking distance of our hotel and seemed quite charming as we peered inside the windows. Be prepared, the burgers are huge! The thick cut bacon, outrageous (in a good way!) amount of gouda cheese, quarter pound burger, buttery brioche bun and a hefty side of mac & cheese --- carb city! read more

Loaded Buffalo pirogues! No reservations which is a bust but food is dynamite so totally worth the wait!!! Greeted at the front with a hostess that was super nice and lead us right to the bar for seating, on a Saturday evening. Heard about this place from a local at one of the breweries we were touring. This place is a must stop if in the mood for BBQ!!! Service was great and bartenders were attentive. Definitely worth the money and I would totally come back when in town again. read more

My husband and I came here for dinner after trivia night at Twisted Rail. We were excited to find somewhere open late (they were open until 12a on a Thursday). I ordered the steak salad without peppers, which was very solid. Steak was flavorful and there was a lot of salad vegetables, which was a pleasant surprise. My husband ordered the brisket, which we both agreed was top notch. Our waitress Emily was also so friendly! We'll definitely be back on future trips to the Finger Lakes. I'd like to try a burger next time. read more

The Rusty Pig - Brisket, beans, slaw, and corn bread - Barbeque Near Me - Geneva, New York

An innovative and colorful approach to BBQ that mostly hits right. I have a few nitpicks about the food and the space it's served in, but the combination of good service, good beer, and an interesting menu made up for it. The start of our experience was that it's apparently a really popular dinner destination, as there was already a 30-minute wait at 4:30pm on a Saturday. Once we got a table, we saw that part of the reason is the poor use of space in the interior. It seemed to have a small number of tables and an awkward layout. Regardless it was comfortable seating and a stainless steel/bbq stand sort of look. It was also dimly lit, apart from the lamps over the tables, and we liked that. Perhaps also if someone opens a BBQ restaurant it just gets mobbed. They had a good-ranging draft beer list, from PBR to white chocolate raspberry stout and everything in-between. Their food menu was interesting in two ways. It told a little story for each item, and also there were several very unusual, interesting options. My wife and I chose the BBQ pork shanks and the pork belly sandwich. The shank meat fell right off the bone, and the pork belly texture, no kidding, was like fine foie gras. I was not as pleased with the sides. They were just okay. The mac and cheese was good, but the apple cole slaw and Texas caviar were bland. Perhaps my fault to expect incredible flavors from these things in February. Also, it wasn't exactly clear at first that I could've asked for a different sauce on the pork. The standard sauce was good though. The meat itself was just a tad dry and bland, despite falling off the bone. I enjoyed it anyway. I suspect this place would be better to try outside of the dinner rush for a while. Neat concept. read more

We had 2 apps and 3 entrees with different sides and all were great! We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Small restaurant that is packed immediately upon opening. Reservations only for parties of 5 or more. Not beer drinkers but they a good selection of draft IPAs. read more

Definitely some of the very best prepared bbq meats I've ever had! I had short ribs and my husband had brisket and both were absolutely amazing-tender and flavorful. Sides of barbecue beans and Mac and Cheese were both standouts, so don't sleep on those sides. Lighter and veggie fare were also available-aa well as apps and desserts. Beer list and was varied and interesting, and a small wine selection of local and non local wines was decent. Atmosphere and service great, although since it is a smallish and popular place there was a fairly long wait to get a table for 2, about 40 minutes, but walking around charming downtown Geneva passed the time enjoyably. Definitely not a place to miss on a finger lakes excursion. read more

We had lunch there and really enjoyed it. We sat at the bar as the tables were all full and people were on a wait list for a table. The bartender was welcoming and she didn't rush us at all. I was hoping to get a plate with brisket and two sides but that's not an option on the lunch menu. Instead, Two of us split a grilled brisket sandwich which was plenty for two people. The sandwich had macaroni and cheese on it and it was delicious! I didn't care for the potato salad we had as a side. It was made with little potatoes that were just cut in half and the dressing on it was runny and thin. I'll get a different side next time we visit! read more

As always I appreciate a new restaurant in Geneva- the transformation on this space was done really well. It's not super large so it can get packed quick. It feels kid friendly but there is not a kids menu. There is a respectable draft beer selection. My husband loves the grilled chicken wings. I'm a huge fan of brisket. The brisket here is not like anything I've had. It's sweet and already comes covered in sauce. I would not call it a traditional brisket and won't order again. That said- the burger was great, fries are solid. Overall a great addition to the local restaurant scene. read more

First time visiting Geneva from California and a family member suggested we must try Rusty Pig and it didn't disappoint. We sat at the bar and enjoyed house made root beer, ciders and draft brews. Started with the pretzels & beer cheese and the Buffalo pirogies. That is a MUST try I have had my fair share and the crisp with the Buffalo sauce was amazing I had the brisket that just melted in my mouth and just enough hot from the bbq. The cornbread was buttery, and the potato salad had the same Buffalo sauce from the pirogies. If you stop by Geneva must stop by! We did wait over an hour on Friday at 8 pm, so def come early if you don't want to wait. Enjoy. I can't wait to come back. read more

Stopped by during s business trip. Since I was dining alone, I sat at the bar. The greeter warmly said Frank would be happy to take care of me. I was the first to be seated at the bar with a clear view into the busy kitchen. Every table was full. Always s good sign especially on a relatively new establishment. I learned the rusty pig had only been open 2 months. People came to the bar to order drinks while they waited for their table. A few stayed to order dinner. Frank offered a tasting of what was on tap. I tasted the lemon obf which was good. I then tried a passion pool sour Which was tasty and I thought might pair nicely with BBQ. I ordered Kevs brisket with Mac n cheese. It came with a side of "caviar " which was corn beans I was hoping the green wasn't cilantro as I usually find it distasteful. Fortunately. If it was it didn't overpower. The mixture was good. The brisket had good flavor and in some cases tasted like bacon. The sauce was on heat filled which I like and it went well with the creamy Mac n cheese. The experience was enhanced by a friendly local couple who sat next to me and the lady shared she'd been there a few nights earlier with her girlfriends. She ordered the chicken salad and it looked great. This is a must go to if you're in Geneva and lube BBQ :-) read more
