What an incredible spot! I was blown away with the historic barn when we pulled in - it was absolutely beautiful especially with all of the snow. I made reservations for Sunday brunch while in the area. We arrived a little early to sit at the bar and try some beers before brunch and the staff was so welcoming. My fiance loves Belgian beers so we loved the different options. He went with one of their pre-selected beer flights that had the Single, Dubbel, Tripel and Quadrupel, and I went with the Belgian Wheat. Everything was great! For our food we had the Brewmaster Hash, which had eggs, corned beef, potatoes, and peppers and onions, and the Ardennes Waffle, which is made with Trappist Ale brewers yeast and came with blueberry lemon sauce. The food was absolutely delicious and so flavorful! We enjoyed the entire experience so much. My love said he'd been wanting to come here with me so here we are. What a beautiful place! Greeted from the get go by the owners mother and such a delight to hear the history and making us feel welcomed. We picked an area outside near huge tree and it was really nice. Kailyn was very sweet and I love that she raved about my raspberry sour I ordered. He ordered a lager. We really enjoyed them. We will definitely be back to indulge in the farm to kitchen menu. Wonderful German brewery in the Fingerlakes. Large indoor and outdoor space. They have a chef and a large food menu, and they even do brunch on Sundays. We went on a Sunday for brunch. We wanted to try so many things. We both ordered a different beer flight. Both flights were good. We tried the Belgium fries, these were good and overall nice to have we drink beer. Although we have tried the Belgium fries in Belgium before and these didn't taste exactly like that, but they were good nonetheless. There were several different dipping sauces to choose from. OMG!!We've truly found beer&food nirvana (apparently it's been in the finger lakes a few yrs now)!! With that being said I never use that (OMG) lightly ...expectations beverage& food wise, just WOW!! Stopped by here after dropping a car in Geneva for service. The property is amazing and has a cool history. I enjoyed the beer, I had the dubbel. The food stole the show. We had some shareable: deviled eggs which were delicious with a tangy mustardy flavor, Belgian frites which were accompanied by a delicious truffle aoli, and the fave the mushroom fancy toast. Finally made it out to Brewery Ardennes for a holiday brunch with friends today. From the excellent service to the great portions and delicious food, it met all our expectations. Brewery Ardennes has been around a couple years and they brew sours, beers and stouts in traditional Belgian styles. They also have a kitchen serving locally sourced foods and their menu offers up pairings for every dish with one of their brews. The menu changes all the time, but they keep their website up to date and post each day's menu that morning. Today my hubby had their Savory Beer mussels, which was approx 2 dozen large mussels in a savory, beer-based broth, served with some toasted bread. It was a good portion (part of the sharable dishes), but unlike traditional moules-frites in Belgium, these were not served with frites. So we ordered some separately with the garlic aioli. Our one friend had the Brewmaster's Hash and asked for less potatoes to make it a little less carb heavy, and the kitchen obliged. She loved it and ate every bite. She also noted the 'spicy' sausage was not very spicy. The other 2 of us had the Brewmaster's Sausage, which came with potato salad and sauerkraut. It was delicious and tasted really balanced. It was also a perfect portion. For drinks, we had hoped they might have a lambic on tap, but they didn't, so instead I had a flight which included four 4-ounce pours (total of 16 ounces) of any beers you want - I got the cranberry sour, the stout, the dubbel and the winter spice. They were all really good. The hubs had a hard cider, which he liked initially, but it didn't pair so well with the broth of the mussels, and in the end he thought it was a little too sweet. When our meal was served, the brewmaster stopped by our table to chat because our server told him we had been asking about lambics. He told us of their plans to offer some in 2024, and of the challenges of finding fruit farmers that produce enough volume for them to make a brew. They hope to offer a cherry lambic and maybe a raspberry lambic in the Feb timeframe, and he let us sample the cherry, which was very good, but not as sweet as other lambics we have tried. Anyway, this was exciting news for us and we will look forward to going back in the new year to check that out! A few additional notes: -- We had arrived right at noon without a reservation and there was plenty of seating; we ended up staying over 3 hours and all the staff was just friendly and helpful. We were not rushed to pay or vacate our table and it felt like a great place to just hang out. -- When the server came to our table to initially take our drink order, she asked for a credit card to open a tab; this was unexpected, but she assured us that when it was time to pay she could separate the bill. -- When it was time for the bill we had to go up to the bar to be charged out. -- Our visit was on a Sunday and they were most busy around 2 pm with several couples and larger parties and also people seated at the bar. Despite more people it was not too noisy. -- The Brewery is approx 40 min from Rochester, 10-ish min from the town of Geneva, and 1 hour from Syracuse. -- There is plenty of parking. -- Atmosphere inside is casual and classic, beer and food focused and very friendly. My first visit to this brewery/restaurant. Perfect for a light lunch and flight tasting. The fries with multiple choices of dipping sauces are a must. I enjoyed both the raspberry and cranberry sour beers. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back. Our server was very accommodating and knowledgeable. My friend and I wanted to switch up a beer in one of the predetermined flights, since they were on the slower side at that moment, our server didn't hesitate to fulfill our request. I was avoiding posting a review but this restaurant keeps coming up as a suggestion. Hopefully our less than enjoyable experience was a fluke. We were in town over Labor Day weekend for a concert looking for somewhere to have a late lunch. We looked here on Yelp for suggestions and Brewery Ardennes had great reviews and was close to where we were staying. The gentleman who greeted and seated us was great. We chose to sit inside considering how hot it was outside. We were looking over the menu still when the server came over. We ordered a couple drinks and asked for water with them and explained we hadn't decided on food yet. Our server seemed annoyed we weren't ready to order. It seemed to take awfully long for a glass of beer and a hard cider to be delivered to our table. We never got the waters. We were waiting still to order food. Another server stopped and asked if we needed something and we explained we still hadn't ordered food. At this point we had already been there 20 - 30 minutes so we asked how long we would have to wait for food if we ordered and he said it would probably be 20 - 30 minutes. We asked for our bill. On July 14, our second stop during our Seneca Lake brewery tour was Brewery Ardennes. This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! This is a beautiful location on the outskirts of Geneva. It is a quiet location, with indoor and outdoor seating. This would be a great place to hang out for an afternoon with beer and food under one of its trees! The beers are all Belgian inspired and they had a good selection. We didn't try any of their high alcohol beers, because we were visiting several breweries, but would like to do that on our next visit. Those beers sound intriguing! Wineries in the Finger Lakes region have wine trail markers. I hope the breweries will advocate for something similar. Those markers could help more people discover the growing number of breweries in the Finger Lakes. read more

My husband and I stopped by for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We had our choice of outdoor table and ordered a pretzel, Grand Cru flight, and custom flight (raspberry sour, stout). The pretzel was delicious (including the beer cheese) and my favorite beer was the raspberry sour (I'm not a huge beer drinker and this one didn't taste like a typical beer). We wished all of the beers were available for flights with the smaller pours and that additional menu items were available for lunch, but understand why not. What a fun visit to Brewery Ardennes this past Sunday. Just a few minutes drive from downtown Geneva, tucked away off the busy streets is Brewery Ardennes, a true to style Belgian brewery doing its own thing, and quite successfully I must say. The inside is darker and very popular, with a bar to seat a dozen or so patrons, with many tables scattered around the room to host the masses. Large parties, kids, young and old, they were all represented on this beautiful day. The outside space is large enough with at least 6 seating "areas" with large saddleback chairs, plus a handful of umbrella tables on a porch like spot just outside the building. Beers are all Belgian styles, light to dark, low abv to high octane brews with a cooler to grab take-out of most beers. Some cans, and the classier more pricier beers in sexy bottles. Food looks amazing, but we only ordered a regular sized order of frites (for 2) with their curry ketchup and come back sauce (similar to a voodoo sauce). The bartender was very nice and helpful with making suggestions for our flight. I loved every beer I tried, as did my wife. Not a hidden gem since it is so popular, but it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere if you found yourself outside without all of the kids running around. Amazing stop. read more
