Hummus with tortilla chips
Carlie A.

We stopped by for some drinks and appetizers before heading to dinner elsewhere in Seneca Falls. Despite 3 people standing around the register it felt like we were imposing by coming in to order. You order at the register and then get a number to bring to your table. They had no cider on tap and when I inquired about any of the options that would be gluten free they had to go ask. It was interesting that when none of the tap options were gluten free, no other options were suggested so I just got water. Certainly are plenty of places to sit. Hummus appetizer was good (you can get tortilla chips to make it gluten free) and my husband enjoyed his beer but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to got back.

Fall St. Brewing recently opened their new, larger location in downtown Seneca Falls across from their previous location. Their house-made beer, cider and kombucha are all delightful. They also serve wine and spirits, so there is something for everyone. Now that they have a larger location, they have started doing wood-fired pizzas and really expanded their food menu. I opted for one of their sandwiches, which uses pizza crust for the bread. The sandwich was so good! Filled with Italian meat, peppers, marinated tomatoes and balsamic glaze. They also have a nice coffee menu as well. The location faces the Erie Canal and is large enough to host parties as well. Definitely check them out!

Beer and ambiance is a 4, but food was only 3. We all loved our beverages. The pretzel was not very good. It tasted like a frozen microwave pretzel and it wasn't warm. The mustard was good, but the cheese sauce tasted like jarred queso (think Tostitos), which is fine, but not what you expect from a restaurant. Our lunches were all tasty enough, but it seemed like the wraps were heavy on the lettuce and weak on the other ingredients. For example, two of us ordered the gyro and it only had one thin layer of meat. The sandwiches did taste good though.

The entry/exit with roaring fire on TV

We stopped in here for a cup of something warm after walking around the town and the nearby sculpture trail along the river. It was a cold gray day, and our hands and feet were frozen! FSB was one of the few places still open at the hour of the afternoon (4:30 pm on a Saturday - not sure why everything else was closed), and their menu featured a variety of coffee and tea, lattes, cocoa, and cider, plus a decent selection of craft beer, a few appetizer-y nibbles and sandwiches. I got an almond nog and my hubby got a hot cocoa. Both were tasty, appropriately hot but not scalding, and served in actual mugs. The atmosphere was comfy, with a big screen TV over the door featuring a roaring fire; there was one other table seated with a group of guys doing beer tastings, and everyone was masked when moving around and/or when serving. The folks working inside, who may have been the owners (?) were also friendly and knowledgeable. We felt safe drinking our beverages inside, though they also do take out. We will definitely keep this place on our list when we are in the area again - wouldn't mind to do one of those craft beer tastings and sample the food next time too!

Cozy location. Beer was on point. Note that the menu has changed. Breakfast no longer available all day. We had the Quinoa Salad and Vegetarian Chili. Kettle chips seemed like plain potato chips. Food was just ok. Friendly staff. They will be moving to a larger location across the street soon.

A little gem that recently expanded its hours right in the center of town, just across the street from The Gould Hotel. We stopped by for their coffee and espresso drinks, and had a few bites as well. Now open earlier on Sunday, Fall Street Brewing offers espresso, sandwiches, and other things like kombucha. With really the only place in town that has a number of alternative milks like oat, almond, and soy, they make a fantastic latte. As far as food and snacks, they make breakfast sandwiches with sausage or bacon on various breads or bagels with locally grown tomatoes, as well as lunch sandwiches like a turkey avocado or a "beef on well." The people who work there were super kind and sweet, and very welcoming to our small group who was visiting from NYC. They also have a few tables outside and require masks to follow with the local needs surrounding Covid. Definitely a good local spot that's an asset to the town.

Long review! Ok,…read moredrinks were perfect. The house white chard I would def recommend. Wings: 10/10 crispy how they should be and it's a true mild, not spicy st all. Pulled pork sandwich: I love the vinegar base that didn't overpower but complicated the sauce. The sauce did not overpower anything. They gave the perfect amount of sauce. We opted to put the coleslaw on the side. Coleslaw: perfect amount seasoning and sweet and tart. Po boy sandwich: the seasoning was delicious. The spice crept up but on in a very slow building way that was enjoyable. My only issue, and it's why we couldn't give a 5 star in the Food category, the shrimp was a little too salty. But because of the base seasoning, we ate the shrimp anyway (its base seasoning is so so good!!!).The roll was a white French roll, not toasted which I didn't mind at all. The All American Classic cheeseburger: He requested medium well, and the burger was cooked exactly as requested. So no worries if you prefer a medium burger. The veggies were fresh and condiments on the burger was the perfect amount. Friendly staff. The gentleman who greeted us could tell we weren't sure where to sit, pointed us for two options of seating. The young lady who helped us towards the end was friendly and attentive, but not over attentive where it makes you feel weird. When we left, everyone said goodbye! I've never had that happen and it was such a pleasant surprise! Overall: if you come thru the area (my military peeps you know you looking for an area to visit!), stop here. Great people, yummy food, and friendly people who couldn't be more welcoming. OH ! The TV we're playing spots (of course it's a pub!) but one tv was playing Wonder Woman 2. I really appreciated having something else to watch. So did my daughter.

Lovely space with lots of interesting decor...even the bathrooms!…read more Staff was great on my recent late afternoon visit. He was very friendly and provided some great information on the cask-brewing process and how it differs from the American process. The few beers in my flight (about $12ish) all tasted great but lacked the traditional carbonation found in most typical beers. This, along with being served at room temperature, is a major difference from other beer I learned. The cask ales are naturally carbonated giving it a milder, less harsh, and maybe flatter taste. Most other beers are force-carbonated. While not available on the day I visited, I would loved to have tried some of their food options. Maybe I will the next time I am in the area. There is a small "shop" in the corner which sells British-based foods including teas and sweets. Some lovely views on the back deck!

I have so many great things to say about this place, from the people to the food…read more Food: We were politely provided some chips (fries) and curry from the owner (which I did not know at the time). Both the fries and the curry were exceptionally flavorful and made me rethink about English cuisine (kidding). My wife bought a gin and tonic with a great citrus gin and Mediterranean tonic which went down smooth and was actually tasteful even to myself as a non-drinker. Service: Nicky who helped us with the drink inside was so kind and patient and gave my wife recommendations which is how she ended up with her great G&T. The owner, Bradley, was not only an amazing gentleman but super funny and kind. This is the type of place you go to because it makes you feel warm and at home. Aesthetic: English goods line the back wall and artifacts from England line all the other walls, feeling like you are in a pub somewhere in southern England. Such a cool feel.
