We were given the opportunity to order drinks and food at the same time, and did so. At around 6:20, we had received drinks, but nothing else. No other attention was paid to us by our waiter. I did notice, however, that our waiter was engaged in a significant conversation with folks at the bar. When I went up to the bar to inquire as to our status, we saw clear evidence that our food order had never been put into the system and directed to the kitchen. I asked specifically if that was the case, and I was assured that didn't happen. Yet we didn't receive our food until 6:50, and it came out one meal at a time. The food at this restaurant is rather pricey, and if the food quality had been high, I would not have complained. But the food was lousy. It's about the only way I can describe it. Of the four meals ordered, only one was satisfactory. Brussel sprouts appetizer however was fairly good. The waiter used a momentary power glitch during a rain storm as the excuse for our order not getting to the kitchen, but the facts of the situation told a very different story. Not being told the truth when I made a direct request as to why our food was delayed, is flat out Unacceptable. I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances. They've been in business under this name for two years, which is plenty of time to get their act together. They simply need to do much better or they won't survive.
