My son goes to school nearby so when I was up and wanted to take him for a steak dinner we chose The Rustik Fork and it did not disappoint. Its got a great vibe when you walk in with a mix of half booths and tables as well as a bar all with a rustic feel. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and on top of everything from seating us to bringing us the bill. We started with Angel's Envy Bourbon for me (yes, they had the large cube ice) and an organic root beer for my son and both were perfect. We both chose the Wagyu Ribeyes medium rare and they were cooked to perfection, They weren't huge but the flavor was great and filled us both up. We finished with The Dark Chocolate Brown A La Mode and the brownie was amazing. The ice cream was good but nothing special. No matter, the brownie carried the dessert home. My family and I went last night to celebrate a birthday. My sister and I ordered the loaded sweet potato fries, and we both got food poisoning! It has been a rough day and we pretty much paid for colon cleanses lol. Our brother got a burger and regular fries and those fries were delicious, and the server was great. I know the food poisoning was from here because the only other thing I ate yesterday was a banana. Finding The Rustik Fork on Yelp, I wanted to give it a try. It didn't disappoint! We were welcomed into this warmly "rustik" space and seated at our bench and seated table. Our server snd service he provided was fantastic from start to finish. Refreshing cocktails were followed in good time by our meals. Both drinks and meals were fresh and delicious. My friend was surprised at just how quickly hers disappeared! She said it was just THAT good! My curry cauliflower had plenty of layers of flavor, with the heat one would expect, but without numbing my mouth to all the other bright and savory flavors. The highlight was the burger which really hit the spot and came with excellent seasoning, sauce and toppings. The Fresno peppers and onions were a nice touch. The Brussels sprouts were great as well, really nice and crispy and the goat cheese offered a good balance in the flavor. The ragu was good, but my least favorite of the three. The meat was tasty and tender but the pasta didn't really stand out. Overall a better experience than the first time around. Restaurant is nicely decorated and service was attentive and helpful! Though it was edible, it had an odd flavor to it - was it vinegar? Something seemed off. Went here last night for the first time after my parents had spoken so highly of it and this place is every bit deserving to be spoken of!!!! The food was immaculate but the drinks?? The bartender must be from Heaven because the drinks were amazing. Every single one was delicious. The tequila flight my dad got was perfect and actually made me think twice about my stance on tequila. Our server and the host were incredibly nice and took time to answer every question we had. Discovered this place about 2 years ago, I always love the ambience of this restaurant. It has a cozy feel that is very nice, and the service is always nice. I've been here 3 times, each time about a year apart, and although they, change some items on the menu seasonally, the good quality remains consistent. I have tried their French toast for brunch, their chicken Marsala pasta, and this most recent time, I tried more items (shown in the picture --the Village Bakery Bread and Heirloom Burrata Salad to start, and Cajun shrimp pasta as my entree. Thoughts on the food: - Village Bakery Bread: tasted good, but would be great with more balsamic reduction. - Heirloom Burrata Salad: very refreshing. I enjoyed it, and I added a bit more salt because I like my tomatoes salted (personal preference). I absolutely loved the different textures with the bread, cheese, tomatoes, onions & arugula. It was great. - Cajun shrimp pasta: pasta flavour was amazing! Shrimp was seasoned well, but not salted. That was the only thing to note about the pasta. Although this place has Rustik in the title, it is more of gastropub type food. Everything is house made and very high quality, organic food. The drinks menu is great with very decently priced mocktails and an interesting cocktail list. We tried the cucumber mojito mocktail and The Last Word, classic cocktail which was very enjoyable. We had Brussels sprouts for an appetizer which was crunchy and served on top of a balsamic glaze with some chevre cheese drizzled on top. I tried the smash burger. It came with crispy and perfectly seasoned fries. The burger had caramelized onions, cheddar cheeze, IPA aioli and pickled Fresno chilis which added a kick to it. The beef was a Santa Carota patty and the potato buns were on the light side. The menu is a QR code that you access through your phone and mine would only default to drinks, then only to the brunch menu. It was a bit frustrating and I ended up not even reading the entrees and just stuck with something served all day. Luckily it was very satisfying. read more

Being a person whose wife is in the business it is nice to see a place this good and close to home. My wife and I never get to do any holiday together because she is usually serving at a restaurant as well. This was our first time coming here and it was fantastic. The night was busy and there were only 2 servers with a full restaurant. They handled it like seasoned veterans. Our server recommended the braised beef ragú for my wife and she loved it. I had the Korean chicken burger. Both were excellent. My wife also had the Frosted Velevet martini. It is a mom and pop restaurant, Rustik (as the name implies) with an upscale menu and service. Great ideas for entrees but missing the mark especially at the price. Service was just ok, needed drink refills for an hour. The ambiance is odd; in a strip mall and very small, seems like a date spot, but then a bar, but then an elegant restaurant. Very confusing ambience. I came back a few weeks later to try their brunch. I got there a few minutes later than I had at the reserved time and there was no issues. Restaurant was not packed like the time before and we were immediately seated. It was a bit disrupted and someone kept hacking up a cough every now and then. It was a little gross to hear. Service was a bit better than when I had come last time. I got the iced pistachio latte and wagyu Benny (medium rare for the steak) and I asked for my eggs to be a bit runny and a friend got the brunch burger. The food took awhile to be prepared. Once we received our food, we were not really impressed. My meat was tough to cut through and my friend agreed that the patty was not prepared to her liking. She said there was not enough seasoning added to her meat and it tasted bland. However, my meal was delicious, I just expected more. Especially since I had asked for medium rare. My friend would not justify the price for her meal. She was not impressed with her coffee drink and said it just tasted like straight up iced coffee, no flavor. I liked my coffee drink. The dinner we had the night before coming to this restaurant was really underwhelming. This was such a breath of fresh air to finally eat good food. This place is in a strip mall and it's really low-key. You could potentially miss it if you didn't have your GPS on. The inside is really mellow and rustic, and we loved the massive agave plants as we walked in. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server, Casey came up to us promptly and started talking with us about what we'd like to have. Since a wonderful yelper mentioned that the scallops were life-changing, we had to try them. I don't know if I could say that they were life-changing, but they were very good. This year was textbook on the top side only which caramelized the exterior of the oyster and the bottom of the oyster got to just bathe in the delicious sauce without having to worry about getting a soggy bottom. It was a very, very good scallop--almost as good as mom's and better than I've eaten at Gordon Ramsey's restaurants. The loaded fries were topped with short rib and sprinkled with barbecue rub that was brown-sugary with a hint of spice. The catchup was barbecue sauce. I personally devoured the majority of the brussels sprouts. They are so good. They took me back to this time in my life where I was doing long distance cycling. During some rides that stopped by this French restaurant in the Bay Area and eat crisp brussels sprouts that would give me the energy to continue my ride. These reminded me of those. I had the peach burrata salad with Wagyu sirloin. The chef seared this in the most glorious way, the seer put a crunchy bark on the outside of the meat and cooked the inside of steak to a perfect medium rare. Eating the steak was an experience. I wish I had more time in Riverside to eat at Rustik Fork. I'll have to make a trip soon to try the seasonal menu changes! read more

This was the kind of place where I had to battle with my inner Scrooge. Yes, it's quite pricey, but hear me out. It's attractive inside, the service is stellar, the food is classic, generous, and wonderful. I could never have contemplated such a cool place popping up, let alone thriving, in such a strangely unremarkable area. But it did. And based on our experience today, there is something quite special about this place. It has entranced me. I shall return. And it's quite apparent that I am not alone in that conclusion. Michelle W was our effervescent server. She obviously loved that she works here. She proudly introduced us to their philosophy and standards, talked about their critically sourced suppliers, and gave us good menu recommendations with unbridled enthusiasm. Everything is organic, grass fed, pastured, etc. We were off to a great start, even though I had no doubt this was not going to fit into the usual price range I seek. Since today was a Saturday, they were offering a brunch menu only. I only had eyes for the Chicken & Waffle. Michelle was very specific: this was not a crisp, light Belgian waffle. This is a French waffle. And once I tasted it, I realized it was more like a rich funnel cake, with a fried appearance and more dense. Very nice! Bits of chopped, smokey Nieman Ranch bacon were generously sprinkled over my waffle and fried chicken, and a good maple syrup was served on the side. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly, tender and moist, with a nice crispy batter. This entire entree made me extremely happy. It's very filling, with plenty to bring home, even though I am pretty sure it won't be as magical later. Mr B had seen pictures of their short rib, but unfortunately, that is not a brunch item. So instead, he chose the Brunch Burger, a 1/2 lb of high-quality ground meat with an outstanding smokey flavor, topped with Nieman Ranch bacon, and a fried egg whose perfectly cooked yolk dribbled sensuously down the side. The burger patty appeared to be much bigger than most, and I am assuming it is because the quality of the meat was so wonderful, there had to be less shrinkage. Regardless, it was an exceedingly memorable tasting burger that could easily have fed two. It was accompanied by fried potatoes that were exceptionally creamy inside, crisp on the outside, and seasoned with a delightful, garlicky seasoning salt. They were sinfully delicious. Again, half of it was destined to be another meal. Yay! Rustic Fork has capacity for only around 40 people. Hence, consider making reservations during peak times. Reservations can be made using your Yelp app. If it were up to me, I would strongly suggest you start checking underneath your couch cushions and around your car seats to come up with the extra change to spoil yourself here.
