Absolutely love this place. It is a huge venue. The food is decent. For weekend brunch they have a family style option which I think is definitely worthwhile as long is you have a varied pallet. Drinks are slightly expensive for what you get but they are delicious. Food on other menu is also good. I've had their burgers which are tasty. The only thing I've had there that I wasn't particularly fond of was the Smore's dessert was she was just too big and too sweet. Great place for a big group. read more

If you go here please ask for alondra! The most sweetest beautiful girl you could have as your server. (: my first time here and she made it a great experience. Very attentive and sweet will most definitely be coming back soon! read more

Alondra made sure we were well taken care of! Very attentive and sweet! Made my second visit here a great experience! Definitely 5/5! Great food and drinks! Check it out! read more

Disappointed in the lack of flavor. This is my first time being served wet oven roasted brisket since being in Texas. I was highly disappointed with the brisket tacos. They would be better off serving it as roast beef with mashed potatoes. The onion rings had potential but were too salty to finish. My date's burger was good and the drinks were good. The frosè is way too tiny for the price. The restaurant is beautiful but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for well seasoned food. read more

The food is really good. I've been a couple of times for their brunch which is an amazing deal and tasty. The visit that stood out the most is when I arrived right at the end of brunch but the manager still managed to get the chef to serve one more brunch special and because they were out of some items they gave us a discount. It's a very nice venue, that's indoor/ outdoor but just a great vibe and atmosphere. read more

Fantastic venue / restaurant with tons of space. You must try the BRUNCH! So many options and you'll leave very full!

I love this place, I love the good vibes! Great place to hang out and drink and eat good food :) read more

Our server Maria was amazing for us having a large party. Apps were the only thing we really liked. Hot chicken and cheese sandwich was blah Popeyes chicken sandwich is better. The gluten free Mac n cheese is NOT Mac and cheese it should be called "cheese corn mess with ham" overly salty and to much black pepper dear god I wish I wouldn't have ordered it. Parking is a pain. Would not return. read more

We stopped by The Rustic for a couple of drinks and to listen to live music. We were greeted by the nicest & most helpful hostess, Diane. This was our first time and she happily went out of her way and showed us how to get to the outside bar. Nice venue, good atmosphere! read more

My mom and I dined in here tonight, it was our first time , and we absolutely loved it ! We went on a weekday when they're not usually busy so getting a table wasn't so bad. We hope to come back during the weekend when there is live music to check out ! Food was excellent and our server was wonderful! And the valet guys were great too ! Sergio and Franco were awesome! read more

We visited the Rustic during a cold rainy November work day absolutely by accident. This restaurant is fantastic and as I write this I cannot wait for my next opportunity to eat there again. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, it is evident that the architect and staff pay a lot of attention to detail. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and makes great recommendations based on what you describe to be palatable. The food/menu has some great flavors and everything is Texas sized. Interpret that as if you order tacos, ask for an order for 1 if you are two guests. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. read more

Alissia was fantastic! Very attentive and sweet. I definitely will be coming back soon.

Had dinner w/ friends there last night. Appetizers are good (empanada, onion rings and goat cheese w/ bread), drinks, outstanding service and the music was very good. Great atmosphere and beautiful place. The dinner was not as good, not terrible, but could've been better. It's like they are trying to make it so different it misses the mark. Sometimes less is more. read more

Not going to bore you with our experience trying to get a table at the Rustic but the General Manager of this place was beyond rude and not only did she not try to make things right and/or apologize, but actually escalated situation. She was beyond rude, dismissive and confrontational. A friend pointed her out asked the bartender for her name and explained what had happened. The bartender apologized and said she is out of her mind and we were not the first to complain about her attitude. He then informed us that she was the GM....we had figured she was the manager. Way to set an example for your employees. Been to Rustic before and food is subpar and overpriced, but went because group we were with had never been. After this last experience with GM we will not be back. Too many other options in Houston where I'd rather spend my money. read more

Cassie the manager has horrible customer service! She could benefit from customer service training. After complaining on a 2 hr wait, she replied " this is my restaurant" and she kept on escalating the situation. Will not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Had lunch at The Rustic for my 5 year work anniversary. There were 11 of us and it was short notice, but thanks to Charlie and Sandy they were able to accommodate us all and we were promptly sat. Our server, Cody, was flat out AWESOME. He took care of everyone and made sure the drinks were always topped off. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken and Cheese Sandwich. It was the perfect mix of spicy and savory. I also had the potato salad for the side which was delicious. We split some banana pudding for the desert which was also phenomenal. Management, food and service gets a 10/10 in my book. Also - everyone else's food looked great, especially the pork chop dish. Lastly, the whole atmosphere of the place is just really cool. It's definitely got a cool aesthetic and vibe to it. Is a great spot and definitely has cool settings to take pics by...can't wait to bless my instagram with these killer posts. The likes are going to roll in like crazy. Overall - super cool spot and can't wait to go back!!!! The Rustic rules! read more

Great location nice e we walked over after watching the rockets play at the Toyota center. The setup is unique! It's setup like a concert! There is a live band I think everyday. We went on a Thursday and it was BUSY! We were seated right away but I'm giving this 4 stars due to service. The server we had was super friendly just that I guess it was too busy he couldn't keep up with his tables. Other than that the food was good! We had the calf fries to start with. Try it if your adventurous ;) The Rustic burger was juicy! And had it with their freshly made kettle chips. The burger was a big portion which will leave you stuffed! The chicken and cheese sandwich was amazing also! It's made with Texas toast bread, fried chicken, pickles, and cheese. Kinda like a grilled cheese sandwich. I def. had left overs! This is a great place and would recommend if your around the downtown area. The atmosphere is different and the setup is really cool! read more

We visited for the first time last night. Atmosphere was amazing. Food was good. Service was non-existent. Our server was completely clueless on how to serve a table. At one point we had to flag down a passing server to get drink refills. We were even charged for a drink that was never received, the server didn't even notice. We had appetizer plates on the table even after we finished dinner. There are too many things to mention here. Probably a fun place but be prepared for craptastic service and the kitchen running out of what you ordered, or your server not entering in your full order. Come on managers pay attention to training servers to actually provide service, and run the floor so you know they are providing great service. read more

Fernando was the best waiter! Great service, atmosphere, food and drinks. Absolutely love this place!

Happened upon this spot as we were coming back into Houston from the NASA space center. Reviews seemed + so we decided to show up w/ a party of 5 (no reservation). Did valet parking as street parking seemed tight and would require a bit of a walk. It was early dinner (5:30'ish) but we were seated without a wait in the cavernous interior. There is a bar area, typical restaurant seating w/ tables and booths, and a large stage w/ a dance floor. Not long after we were seated, we placed an order for apps including double queso, and salt n pepper deviled eggs. My least favorite app was the deviled eggs, but even that dish was decent. Entrees included texas quail, entree kale salad w/ shrimp, and several Rustic burgers. The quail was delicious and was cooked on the grill, as were all of the meats. The smoked flavor was fantastic, and I love the concept. 2 of us also enjoyed the Gentleman's margarita which was nicely done, and one adult tried a local draft (karbach Love Street draft) from the full bar. Service was great! We had an issue w/ one of our orders. The served apparently spoke w/ a manger who came over and made everything right. Even gave my daughter a delicious slice of chocolate cake on the house. Nice touch! When I'm back in H-town, I would love to revisit this spot! read more

Alaiza was amazing!! Super fast service and so sweet!! Definitely will be coming back!!

We had a great time ! We went for happy hour so didn't get to see any music, but we will be back for that. The food and the drinks were great and so was the service. Alissia P was our server and she did a great job ! We were seated about as far from the bar and kitchen as you could get but still everything came really quick. She had the right touch to check on us often enough without overdoing it. I have been to the one in Dallas so knew what to expect of the atmosphere and it didn't disappoint. Recommend. read more

This is a great venue for live music. The indoor/outdoor mixed theme is super well designed and very comfortable. It is a gorgeous venue that they clearly spent alot on. There was a very nice young women (looked like a manager/supervisor) regularly walking the floor, checking in on tables, and make sure the servers were on top of on everything. Plenty of wait staff. The food was good, and the service was attentive. The drinks are fancy and delicious, but I would like to see more fresh, bright, hoppy beers (like Pub Crawl from St. Arnold or All Day IPA from Founders) on tap. The pilsner choices are good. Salads are the better menu items, and the homemade smoked chips are great. There were two entertainers the night we went. Katie Katy was sublime - perfect bar music that everyone loved (a real crowd pleaser) and the second band (I didn't get their name) was really good too (they sounded alot like Matchbox 20). When the second band started, (later in the evening), it turned into a concert, not a dinner/bar, as you could no longer have conversations (concert volume, not bar volume). Overall, great place to eat and relax in a near perfect indoor/outdoor setting before 9:30. After 9:30, great place to see local bands, live in concert. read more

Amazing atmosphere! Love the indoor/outdoor openness and the daily live music. If you're going with a group for dinner, I highly recommend getting an appetizer and then splitting the carnitas or the brisket in the "Dine With Friends" section. You build the tacos yourselves, and the meat seems never-ending, but it's absolutely delicious. Drinks are also great, but a little pricey. I usually come here before a concert or Rockets game at the Toyota Center because it's walking distance to the stadium. Highly recommend and will be returning! read more

Me and my girlfriend came here after reading some of the reviews. We ended up going to the one near the Galleria. The menu was underwhelming imo but we ended up getting the mushroom chop, broccolini and the salmon. Our favorite part was the crab cake appetizer, it was a good size and we both agreed to return just for them. I mean really they were bomb. Girlfriend loved the salmon. Mushroom chop was ok. Wouldn't order it again. read more

Local fav! Awesome food and drinks. The best on the menu is the hot chicken and cheese and the frozen Moscow mikes as well as the Frozé!

Came here for a nice Sunday funday only to find a full, live grasshopper in our salad.

Probably the worst service I've ever gotten in my life!! Waited 30 minutes at the bar no one stopped by to see what I wanted/needed, then when I finally moved twice and flagged someone down she took my order, to go tacos and it took over 45 minutes, worst service ever!!! The staff is worthless!!! read more

Food was ok.... not authentic Mexican. The butternut squash, avocado with cucumber and spicy cornbread were good. Potato chips with Chipotle dip, chicken and beef with flour tortillas (and charred cactus?), peanut butter ice cream and beef? quesadillas was so-so, the berry cake dessert was too sweet and fried jalapeno was too oily. read more

The restaurant was great, our server was not. She basically rushed us out of our table after had paid a ton of money on drinks and food etc. Really disappointing because we would have bought more but because of her demeanor we didn't feel like we were welcome there. She came up to us to tell us that they close in 10 minutes but she just brought someone food? It was weird. She was passive aggressive and rude. Hopefully when we come back we will have a new server. read more
