Amazing food, amazing service! Kao is awesome, one of the best servers I've had. Will definitely be back

I came to Bottle & Bayou ready for a good meal and birthday celebration, and I got one, but what I really got was the best service of my entire life thanks to our waiter Tawanda Let me be clear: This man deserves a raise, a promotion, and at least one vacation day... preferably paid. He was the sweetest soul ever, worked harder than any waiter I've seen, and made the whole experience feel like five-star fine dining even though I casually ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. The food was good solid, tasty, hit the spot. But the real highlight? Tawanda's service was the meal. The burger + fries combo did its job, but he was the star of the show. Attentive, kind, personable, super hardworking, and just radiating "I actually care about my tables" energy. I wish every server in the world had his work ethic and heart. Bottle & Bayou, please take care of him. He deserves the best of the best -- and honestly, so do y'all for hiring someone like him. Food = Vibes = Tawanda = (should be the restaurant logo at this point) I'll definitely be back, but only if Tawanda is still there so I can leave this review all over again.

I've eaten at B&B numerous times over the years, but for some reason I had never sat at the bar until this year. Now that I've done bar seating a couple of times, I think it has become my preferred place to sit. I dined solo before a concert a few months ago. Justin and Laura were working the bar and they did an excellent job! I wanted to order my favorite (Kale Caesar with Salmon), but I noticed the salad was changed to a regular Caesar. I also noticed the increase in price for the salmon so I decided to try something different. I went with the Peach Burrata Salad. Justin recommended adding blackened chicken. I am not a huge fan of blackened chicken but I absolutely loved this salad! It was different from my usual, but it was so good and flavorful! The char on the chicken was perfect and the sweetness from the peach complimented it so well. For my drink, I started with the Spring Branch. It had a lovely lemon, thyme, and apple flavor that felt like autumn in a glass. It was so good and balanced! Laura created it and I made sure to give her feedback because it was really good. I also ordered the the Magnolia. It's gin based (my favorite) with a nice balance of raspberry and lemon. The leaf garnish was a nice touch! I came back with my friend for dinner before an Astros game a few months later. Laura was there and somehow remembered me! Arlette was also working the bar and she provided great service to us as well. I ordered the Vesper 2.0. It's extremely boozy (as a Vesper should be)! The cocktail came with truffle chips. The truffle oil and saltiness of the chips complimented the cocktail so well! I don't know who came up with the idea to combine the two, but bravo! For dinner I had the Birria Bao as well as Brussels Sprouts. The Birria Bao was delicious! The meat was seasoned and tender. The pickled onions and cilantro that topped it were delicious as well! The Brussels had a nice char and I enjoyed the dollops of cream. I only planned to have the Vesper, however Laura and Arlette hooked us up with some samples of their fall cocktail creations that they were working on for the next menu. Both cocktails were mezcal based and they were good! I can't wait to see the final product. I've found that the bartenders are more attentive which can be good if you're short on time. I really like how well they work together. They not only introduced themselves when I sat down (both visits), they made a point to introduce the other bartenders working along side them. B&B continues to be one of my favorite downtown spots for dinner and drinks!

They are within the 4Seasons so you know it will be a great time. It's a cute spot looks like a library and they have private virtual golf rooms. We were seated quickly in a little romantic booth and you see everyone from friends to lovers in the spot. The surprise was the ceviche so fresh and delicious. It was late so wifey got the chicken Cobb. Good portion and the dressing was amazing. Octopus was deeelish! I would def return and be sure to bring others. Great service great staff and cayute spot.

The bar of the Four Seasons. Not to be confused with there Speakeasy Bandista upstairs. Located right on the first floor lobby of the hotel. Parking - is either valet at the hotel, or find street parking. I street parked a few blocks away. I came here for the first time early evening, for some pre drinks for a friend's bday dinner upstairs. My friend had a resy. But you could probably just show up and be seated, depending how crowded it is. The crowd was steady influx. It has a cool simple decor. There were several people dressed up nice and fancy, for a wedding upstairs. The place has plenty of various types of seating, which is probably the best thing about the place. From high top tables, large leather couches, booths, bar stools etc. Seems like a great place to hang out with a group, to grab drinks & bite before or after a night out. Centrally located downtown. Walking distance to all kinds of entertainment. Such as the theater, ballet, baseball game, concert venues etc. Drinks - I ordered the Cruel Summer. I enjoyed it. It was pretty boozy, so I only needed one before dinner. Service was easy enough. We came back again, later on in the night. It was more crowded, but we were able to be seated again. The group ordered several items, chips/queso, burger & O-rings, fries. The bite of burger I had wasn't bad. I think everyone enjoyed there food. Overall an easy experience, which is all you can ask for.

The bartenders are so attentive, personable and friendly! The food is good and there's a nice selection of drinks. The lighting is romantic with a comfortable atmosphere. The drink my son ordered was good tasting but weak since after about 8 he still had no buzz and he doesn't ever drink unless it's a special occasion! The orbit drink is strong and pretty! The apple drink is also delicious! Yes, I recommend this place!

The service and food were great! The atmosphere was chill and very relaxed. The tacos were so good. We went back the next day and got some for lunch.

I have never heard of this place. Tiffany J. recommend this has a pregame before the Astros game. This is one of her favorite spots and I'm so happy she shared it with me. Located on in the lobby of the four seasons hotel, you get very upscale vibes as soon as you walk in. The service was great and the drinks and food were amazing! I had their Dr. Pepper old fashion and it was one of the best I've ever had. I would rank it the best in Houston but second on my overall list. The carnitas quesadilla looked really good, I was told it was good by Tiffany but she didn't offer me a bit so I wouldn't know. I'm joking, I had my own problems with the massive Birra tacos. They really stuffed these tacos and the pickled onions and avocado on top was the perfect pairing. The flavor was next level and I would say probably the best Birra tacos I've had! I even made the joke "They have someone's Abuela back there making this food!" I will be back again and soon!

We came just for wine and dessert. Service was top notch. We sat in a cozy lounge area. The cake was delicious and the two wines by the glass we had were great. A perfect after dinner spot!

Shoutout to Tiffany J for putting me on this spot! We were attending a concert at the House of Blues across the street , so she suggested we come here to pregame. It's a short hop, skip and jump over from the venue. We made reservations, but walk ins are welcome too. Closer to the time of the concert and into the evening hours, this place did get busier. Customer service was ok. It was slow at times and a wrong drink was brought out at one point. It's located in the Four Seasons so as expected, the place was beautiful with an upscale ambience. It's not classified as a sports bar, but it really is a glorified version of one. There's plenty of large TVs around to catch a game. They also have the first ever Topgolf Swing Suite. Not only can you golf on this thing, but you can also play other games as well. There are two suites which can be combined to one for a larger party. They have an amazing whiskey and bourbon collection along with a whiskey locker if you want to store some of your prized collection here. One thing that caught my attention immediately when I stalked the menu before coming here was the Dr Pepper Old Fashioned. I've recently been on an old fashioned kick and this drink was delicious. It was masterfully made and everything I wanted it to be. The ingredients used did give off the slightest essence of a Dr Pepper which not only made it unique, but tasty as well. The only complaint I had was the waitress took off with my cherries before I could eat them. I was told the burger here was great so I went with the Bayou Burger. The burger was made with a brisket blend which gave it great flavor. It was cooked to a perfect medium as requested and was delicious. The hand cut fries was a tasty added bonus. We still had time before the show so I ordered 8th Wonder Rocket Fuel to sip on for it's coffee flavor. Overall, this was an awesome place that I will surely add to my downtown list of places to revisit. I will be back!

Angry Scorpion Roll - Four Seasons - January 2024

Had a great experience at Bayou & Bottle as I needed a quiet space to watch the Bills game this past weekend before heading to the airport. I was thrilled to see Athletic Brewing on the menu and quickly ordered the Upside Dawn beer to enjoy with the game. The staff were so accommodating, turning down the music and turning up the game for me. I also really, really appreciated Olivia allowing me to order off of the Toro Toro menu but have it delivered at Bayou & Bottle! I needed this because there apparently aren't any TVs at Toro Toro. Anyway, I went with her recommendation of the Angry Scorpion Roll (Spicy Tuna, Crab, Avocado, Cucumber). The roll was a decent size and the tuna was SOOO fresh. The roll pretty much melted in my mouth and the wasabi was legit wasabi.

AJ /Avery made our day! He was the nicest server, and granted we were there on a slow afternoon, but he stayed by our table and we had a great conversation with him. He told us about the hotel, the area, gave us recommendations on the drinks and menu, and was very nice. We played top golf and then enjoyed more drinks in the bar area, but were able to keep him as our server. The food here is AMAZING. We had the roasted romanesco appetizer, but I added steak on to it and made it my entree. I had to look up what romanesco was, it is a perfect blend of the two parts of broccoli combined into one. So instead of a stock and a top, it's all sort of one thing. Perfect texture and amazing sauce on it. The drinks were all delightful. Overall an amazing place to be. The only weird part was the toilet paper in the luxurious bathrooms was black. But anyway the games are fun, the food is great, the service is impeccable.

The lighting is dark, intimate, and behind every level and door, there is something else going on. There is an element of discovery in every corner and a new adventure on every floor. Ever watch the movie Tron? There are some areas of BCD that feel incredibly futuristic with neon-lit interiors and a legitimate sci-fi feel in some areas. The areas are ass follows: The main bar with a DJ and a spacious dance floor, the red room with a visualizer setup of big bass and pulsating lights, the gold room with a speakeasy feel and a curated cocktail menu, with the secret room that is a unique space behind a certain set of doors. Most of the music on the main bar is good, the DJs are energetic, and the bartenders are efficient while professional. It's not the easiest place to photograph anything, but the different (hidden) spaces make it a worthy destination for discovery. The one area that I don't love is that they rock automatic gratuity. I do love how diverse the crowd is on the weekends, which is a testament to the city. Drinks are solid, but the speakeasy drinks are the ones that stand out the most. The latter definitely comes at a price, but beware that some drinks may have all the presence but not enough of the substance. __________ My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/behind-closed-doors-houston?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ

I thought that the catch 22 ( mocktail) would be too sweet or vinegar forward but it was tangy and light. He also was sipping far too much of my mocktail which speaks volumes about how good it was. Love the moody vibes, drinks, and service. I've only visited three times but should make it one of the places we come to more often.
