Chicken fingers and fries
Ashley D.

The image may not be the best, but let me tell you these were the best chicken fingers I've ever eaten! Served with 4 pieces, these things were plump and juicy. The actually flavor within the chicken was on point and the seasoning in the crispy batter was even better. Every bite was perfection! Some chicken tenders... the batter falls off when you cut into it... not these! The dipping sauce was a cross between bbq and a chipotle cream type of sauce. Also delicious!

So i saw the reviews and looked and it has the makings of a great place. Boy I was wrong. WAAAAAYYYY overpriced for what you get. I had a $28 salad that I could have gotten from Saladtogo for 8. Beer was super overpriced. OH, the best....there was a live mouse running though the dinning room. PEOPLE, there is a reason they don't have prices on the menu.

Pan seared salmon

Oh man. This is a place I'd want to love and has potential. I love the atmosphere and ambiance - perfect sports bar vibe, multiple big screens, and menu boasts a great selection that looks like more than bar food. So far so good with the concept. Unfortunately the wheels fall off with the execution. I ordered the pan seared salmon with rice and asparagus. They overdid it with the salt. I mean, to the point where you could take a bite and almost crunch the grains in your mouth (see pic). The fish was fresh and juicy and cooked perfectly, but the coating of salt on top just ruined it. Tone it down next time, and this could easily be four or even five stars. (The service was great; she was fast and pleasant so no points off for that.)

Nachos

This is our go-to post or pre- events downtown. We have gone on game days, but honestly, it's a good hang for just winding down the night or watching whatever sport event is on TV. I love the nachos and the chicken strips. It's your standard Marriott in-house restaurant quality, but not too shabby. Service is nice. As long as it isn't a major game day, you can get a table relatively quickly.

The tacos and Moscow Mule was a great combination.

Good timing of the food and drinks. Temperature and food portion was worth it. Ambience was relaxing.

It's connected to the downtown Marriott hotel and has an entrance inside the lobby. Exits go back to the hotel or to the streets. Place was big and clean, offered many seating options (upstairs, downstairs, bar, or tables), and had both TVs and projector screens with multiple sports playing. Menu is a bit pricey and don't even show numbers on it so that's how you know...

Diet pepsi and old fashioned

Service and atmosphere is on point. Food however not so much unfortunately. My tacos are ok, but not the best. I heard the Caesar salad was very good. It looks pretty. Got an old fashioned paid $19 for but had better for cheaper. Unfortunately not a place I would rush back to.

First off, order the pretzel . It is one of the best I have ever had. Service at the bar is excellent.

Triple Sampler

Food was mediocre, service was a lot to be desired and the ambiance was families but not full. With that being said, let me say the Texas Twinkies were the best part of the sampler platter. The tenders were over cooked & tough and the chips that came with the queso portion were very stale for a grand total of $35. I had high hopes for this experience and it just didn't make the cut for us.

The poke nachos were super delicious, crunchy, fresh and full of flavor! FERNANDO was such an amazing bartender, we've seen him a few times post Astros games but he was super attentive and friendly!! The restaurant itself is so cool with all the baseball details, huge tv screens and Astros' memorabilia. Definitely a great place to visit anytime of year!

Pale Blonde Beer

It was a good place to hang out in downtown. It is connected to the hotel. Food was typical with burgers and Mac and cheese. Had a variety of options for drinks. They have a seating on one side and a bar on the other. It is a typical sports bar with Astros memorabilia and large open window for natural lighting. Had around 50-60 people's worth of seating and an open space on the side to stand by the bar. It was very flexible for seating. We had a reservation for 7 people and they last minute accommodated for 9 people. Service was friendly and quick.

Do they have the nfl Sunday ticket on Sunday's or just show prime time games?

We have the capability to play all of the games! If the one you want to watch isn't on the screens, you can ask your server and they'll be sure to change it for you!

You're able to bring in your own food as well, but we came here for Tuesday Steak night from Modestos Grill. $30 for a ribeye + choice of potato or salad. The salad was actually quite a large portion and potato was baked nicely and came with all the fix'ns. Steak was seasoned really well and cooked to my preference of medium. Quality of the steak isn't the best, but not bad. Drinks at Kirby Ice House was pretty pricy. Lots of outdoor seating and large screens. Pet friendly! So bring your dogs/furbabies! Upon visiting here, it's about the same size as Memorial IMO but still has the same touch and vibes that makes the Memorial location pretty dope. Obviously you're here for drinks, sports, or a combination of the two. There's plenty of parking here and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They also live up to the whole "longest bar in Texas" where there is a 100+ foot bar area that stretches. There's plenty of tvs inside and outside so you can find any type of sports you're looking for as you guzzle down your beverages. Speaking of beverages, there's roughly 30+ beers on tap and just about every kind of spirit you can think of. Self-serve water coolers are available when you need to hydrate yourself if you've had one too many drinks. There's also a food truck here for eats with rotations (check the website for the schedule). It's pet friendly as well and they have drink specials every day. Bartenders are pretty attentive; I've never had issues getting a drink here, even when it's gotten slammed for NFL sunday or college football. Glad this is in my neck of the woods for sports watching and drinking.

It still felt connected to the main space thanks to the open layout and windows, which was perfect. The staff was by far the best part--so friendly and accommodating, and they made some fantastic drinks (including mocktails that looked great and let me stay sharp during a work event!).
