The best breakfast. I used to come here all the time when I lived in the Jupiter area years ago. I've moved since but we decided to come back and visit the area this weekend. The Royal Cafe did not disappoint. I had country fried steak breakfast and it was incredible. Service was good. And everyone was very friendly. This is a classic breakfast restaurant like an old fashioned diner and I say that as a good thing! Great spot for eggs and pancakes and probably other things as well. Uniquely in the age of Starbucks they have really good coffee too. My eggs over medium arrived in less than five minutes! Eggs were perfectly cooked, hash browns were well prepared and crunchy brown and the toast was actually toasted. All terrific! Only slight issue is that they are cash only. read more

For a lovely Father's day breakfast for my Dad, i did extensive research this morning to find the perfect breakfast location. Stuck between 3 different 4.5 star reviews, my dad chose this location. Let's just say, for many reasons, we chose wrong. Upon entering, we were greeted by frowning faces and an unwelcoming atmosphere. The wait was not long. I only give this place 2 stars because they were kind enough to make my dad his turkey club at the ripe hour of 10:30 AM when lunch starts at 11:30am, and for the Pedro Pascal Esquire issue to read at the front. The food was okay but nothing any local cafe won't provide. My mom is always sure to check the receipt to be sure we weren't charged for incorrectly, and they made a simple error by mistaking a substitution pancake with an add on pancake. My mom kindly approached them with this problem, and they were extremely rude, saying they only take cash, and practically throwing the extra penny at her. We will not be returning here. read more

Came here before diving up in Jupiter. The place is located in a strip mall, but its a cute little diner with the most friendly staff you've ever seen. They were so fast and nice. The food was your typical diner food, well done and tasty. The downside is that I lost half my breakfast between dives since the water was so choppy :) At least the fish got fed. read more

The food there is good but whatever you do don't get the server Lydia, all she does is stand there while all the other servers wait on her customers and run her food. I've had her multiple times now and it's always the same thing with her. The other servers not only deliver my food, but also refill my coffee amongst other things. I don't understand how such a lazy human being can possibly hold a position in that busy atmosphere. I asked one of the other servers why Lydia never works or helps out and the lady said she only works when Rick (the owner) is in the building. Pathetic. read more

Good, quick service, above average food, beverages need attention. Let me explain The owners and staff are delightful, and the food comes at you ridiculously fast and good. The waitresses are true professionals, making a difficult job seem easy and always with style, humor and an appropriate amount of sass... Beverages are, in my humble opinion, awful. The problem lies with the water supply and the lack of filtration. Every hot beverage tastes of well-water- overly high in calcium and/or iron. The coffee is hot and wet and brownish in color, but due to the water it is made out of, any resemblance to great tasting coffee ends here. 6 out of 10 overall, if we were able to get some real coffee, with a decent filration system, I'd have rated it higher, maybe a 9/10. I'd recommend them buying an expresso machine to give coffee lovers more of a choice, as these machines usually have a decent filtration system built in. UPDATE: Filtration problem had been solved...still need some better coffe however. Try getting Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee or Kona coffee from COSTCO...2 pound bags of whole beans there are VERY reasonable. read more

Service is bossy, not welcoming. When we entered we were literally told to "Sign in and sit down." Then I overheard her tell another guest checking out "put your card away!" We found this place when searching for brunch. After we were seated, the waitress stopped by and said "I notice you are looking at breakfast, but we stopped serving that at noon. But we can still make waffles and eggs." Um, ok. She was the nicest to us tho. Also, we missed the sign at the door, but we noticed on the menu that cards are not accepted. Good to know. It is a clean establishment, and very busy so it must be a local favorite, but I feel more welcome at IHOP. Here, we were just a number. Food was good, but nothing remarkable about it. The Royal Cafe is royal treat for Jupiter! This is hometown ambiance at it's best. If you are a regular, the waitresses know you and greet you like a friend. Try sitting at the counter....you will soon be involved in a conversation and there are always laughs. Needless to say, you are treated royally here. The food is always good. The hamburgers are made to order and definitely not from pre-formed patties. The chicken salad sandwich with a side of fruit is the perfect lunch on a hot day. Don't forget the sweet tea! A couple of years ago we went for breakfast. The special was sausage gravy. My husband asked for a 2nd biscuit and was charged $1.50! We decided not to ever go back. Yesterday we tried again. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet, and my husband ordered a short stack with a side of bacon. The bacon in my omelet was so burnt I could taste the charcoal. It was awful. My husband's bacon had burnt chips all over it, but you know guys, he ate it anyhow. The waitress was so long in returning, I didn't do anything but give her my plate and refuse any substitute. The cook really didn't know he was serving this awful excuse of an omelet? Baloney. This time, definitely will never return. Came in for another shot at breakfast. Yesterday the cook sent me over easy eggs instead of the over medium that I ordered. I was very specific today that I would send them back if they weren't over medium (as yesterday I ate them because I didn't want to wait). I'm fully prepared to give them the 5th star for correctly cooked eggs, if they manage to accomplish the amazing and apparently impossible feat of over medium eggs, which they did! Well, a family run type of place. Not bad but that causes some lax in the crew. Many of the Waite staff were eating muffins, etc behind the counter between serving. Breakfast was good. Unlike many others, this place uses what seams like extra large eggs. Never understood why places cheap out & use smaller eggs for a matter of pennies. But when I asked if homefries had onions, there was a .50 upcharge & for only a tablespoon of onions on top. Generous on the eggs but a charge for onions? Come on! Coffee was filled often. Another freebie, but cheap with onions? Toast was barely buttered. I rate 3* since food quality was good, watching staff eat was poor, upcharge was silly. read more

Ordered fast, friendly service, can't remember the gal's name but she was nice. Food came fast. Ordered veggie omelet with well done home fries and a biscuit. Royal Cafe is one of the best breakfast places I have ever been. I have been eating here since I was a little girl, and I never ever get tired of it. The staff is so welcoming and nice, and they act like a little family. Its really nice to go into a restaurant and have the waitress's remember you. Aside from the great atmosphere, the food is great as well! It is always fresh and delicious and brought out in hardly any time at all. I would recommend the corn beef and hash, or pancakes. This restaurant was a nice stop after a long trip home, and we ordered the French Onion Soup and the Key West Reuben. Both were amazing and the soup had a lot of cheese in it (yum!) and was not lacking in onions or bread. The Key West Reuben was just what it sounds like, but with Mahi...and it was ridiculously tasty. The juices of the salad dressing and fish mixed well and spilled onto the plate. The service was good, and the waitress kind of sits in the booth with you to tell you how everything is cooked. Even though it was a busy day where even the owner was doing duty busing tables, the waitress still made it to the table to fill water. I would recommend this cafe to anyone! read more

ATM owned by restaurant. For a $20 withdrawal I was charged $2.50/15%. When I questioned this extortion practice to the cashier all I got was "I only work here." Note to owners: how about displaying a cash only sign in a prominent area. How about waiving the outrageous ATM fee for the privilege of eating in your restaurant. read more

This cute cafe is family owned which is rare these days. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. It is more like a diner with counter seating or a booth or table if you want. I have been eating here for at least 20 years and never had a bad meal. What I order comes to me exactly how I expect with no surprises, and delivered by the nicest staff going.
