We really like this place. Food and drinks are consistently good to excellent . Service was great, greeted and seated right away, server was nice, attentive, friendly staff. Great happy hour offerings. Beautiful views. Wife loves the hamburger salad, gets it every time, great tonight as usual. Bloody Mary and wife's greyhound really good. Truffle fries weren't real "truffle-y", but I really liked the way they cooked them, a little crunchy, nice and dark,, and flavor was great- salt, nice hint of rosemary, mmm. Great parking- tonight an ice rink, but everywhere. It was not busy when we arrived at 11:15. We were surprised to see they don't offer breakfast or brunch past 11am. We were all hungry so ordered off the lunch menu. After ordering food, not one person came to refill waters, give us an update on our food, or anything. 45 minutes went by before our food came out and the green chili tostada was a soggy tortilla with unseasoned beans and maybe some salsa on the side. That was it. Burger was good, Brussels sprouts were excellent, and the veggie bowl was okay. The views were pretty but lack of service (while it was slow) and poor quality food are the reasons for 2 stars. Would recommend elsewhere for lunch, at least. read more

Came in for breakfast this morning before snowboarding and ordered some food togo. Drew was very helpful and our food was done very fast for how busy it was so early. A group of 4 of us went to The Row on Monday July 22nd for dinner. We arrived at 6:55 and was told there would be a 30 minute wait for a table. The hostess explained that even though there were empty tables, they weren't seating them all, which is ok. We eventually were seated at 7:20 at a nice window seat. Within 5 minutes, we ordered our drinks and entrees. At about 8:00, we still weren't served, and our waitress asked if we'd like Chips and Salsa on the house since things were running behind in the kitchen. We received them, and then noticed several other tables had either already received the same complimentary chips/salsa, or were getting them around the same time as ours. We noticed almost no other tables were receiving any ordered food, and then slowly, a few tables started to get up, approach their waitress, and then just leave. Our waitress came and said our food would soon be up, so we just accepted it, and waited. Then around 8:30, one of the members of our party went to the waitress, and we were then told that our food wasn't even started to be cooked. We were told we could just leave, and the everything was on the house. We ended up paying for our drinks, and left. Our gripe is that the kitchen and front of the house must have known things weren't going well that evening in the kitchen (maybe short-handed, maybe newly trained staff), and so it would have been nice for them to just explain that when we initially checked in that even after seating us, food would take WAY longer than normal to arrive, and offer us the chance to just go elsewhere. But they remained silent, and so not only did our table exit the restaurant without getting our food, but I'd estimate at least 5 other tables just got up and left around the same time. Keep in mind, this is not the only time service has been slow at The Row. But never like this. We won't be going back. read more

The food was excellent, but the noise level was super loud, comparable to a crowded sports bar, very busy, staff hustling. The whole dinner experience just felt rushed and impersonal. Considering the price point, that's not the experience we had anticipated. Might try it again, but there are many other Bend pub style choices that may be a nicer, more relaxed experience. read more

One star because I won't be going back. On a Friday night about a week ago, my visiting family (7 adults, 2 children, 2 babies) went for dinner. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait. Oh, wait, is that 45 minutes to be seated or 45 minutes between ordering and being served? We must have won the jackpot because...it was BOTH. While waiting and carrying on family conversations, I casually counted the number of diners. It looked like 50 plus whatever the bar would hold. So what, you ask? Well, if it takes 45 minutes to prepare our food and the restaurant holds only 50 people (many of whom had been served already), what was the holdup?? I can only conclude that the organization including the kitchen is a train wreck. How can it possibly take that long to prepare and serve the food? I have been in busy restaurants many times and know about how much slack to cut the staff. The Row was WAY over its limit. And the food? It was cold - but after 90 minutes, everybody was starved and who knows how much longer it would take to have them bring out a hot plate. So yeah, one star. Bend has a lot of restaurants worthy of your patronage. Do yourself a favor and find one. Oh, and the kicker? One family member found a (long) hair in her food. Nice view but that's it. The staff was so preoccupied with discussing their personal issues, I couldn't get attention at the bar. The table was dirty, the window sill was filthy with food. The $20 flat bread was awful. There was little redeeming value in this place, only the view. Skip it. read more

Had lunch there and it was pretty good. I had the French dip with French fries. Very nice room with a good view of the golf course. Everyone enjoyed whatever they had but even better than the food was the service. read more

Great view food is good! We hadn't been for a while so we decided to stop by before the ski crowd. It wasn't busy at all and the service was pretty bad. Our first server was having a bad day and we were told she was leaving.... Our second server was very nice but very inattentive I ran out of water and never got more. The last 2 times I've been here, the cook doesn't understand the descriptions on the menu and the servers are woefully untrained. Both times we had to run down the staff for basic service and to get what we ordered. The service here was atrocious. The waitress didn't get our orders right and didn't check on our table at all for the time we were there. But the worst part is we had a service animal which we do have documentation for. The manager illegally asked us for the prescription which we provided even though we didn't have too, on which the manager commented on it and told us rudely that we should get an updated one. Very pleased with our first time coming to The Row! Jade served us and was an absolute pleasure. The burger was the best Ive had in Bend by far, and the wings were outstanding. Service and food took way way way too long we were seated at 6:30pm didn't get drinks until 7:00pm and dinner didn't arrive until well after 8:30pm. We have experienced slow service before. We were on the fence whether to return. We live in Bend. Small group that goes Nordic skiing or biking after work then pick our place to eat. Been to The Row at least 3-4 times before. Consistently slow service. Food good. Looking for a reason to come back but this visit ended up being the longest wait! "Big group in other restaurant" was shared with us. Sat down to food in front of us 1 hour 15 minutes. Good food, nice ambiance, everything thing except the speed of service was good. Four of us ate breakfast at The Row yesterday about 8:30. I had their Hole In One, which consisted of a fresh biscuit topped with a generous portion of sausage gravy, four link sausages, and an egg. It was hot when served and excellent. My wife ordered one scrambled egg and sausage. The egg was cooked to her liking and the two sausage patties were huge and tasty. Well, got the Beer Snob Cobb with chicken. The "bacon" was an extremely thinly sliced substitute of something. The chicken was tough and about equivalent to one chicken strip. Veggies were subpar in quantity. At $16, pretty much a rip-off. The beer was $7. Nice view of a dried out golf course but just way too expensive for the low quality salad. What is it about Bend food? Sorry but their take out process is not ready for prime time. Called with our order, was told to come inside to pick up. We waited in line for 15 minutes before going outside and calling for them to bring our order out, which took another 5 minutes. We had given them our credit card and tip info (20%) but they said they needed to run back in and print a manual bill (without the tip left blank) and have us sign. We've been trying to love this place, and it seems like each visit the service is worse. Unfortunately, today was our last. We stopped in for a drink and a snack at 3:00pm. Hardly rush hour. Five employees holding court with each other. Not one gave a wit if we came or left. I suspect apathetic folks unhappy to be working on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Bend. We ordered beverages and never received a menu, nor did any of the five folks working ask us if we wanted anything. Had they bothered, they would have discovered my husband is quite the expensive scotch connoisseur and tips well. Anyone with training knows that anyone who orders Oban or Balvenie Carribean Cask is top shelf. No matter. We paid our tab and went down the hill where they were considerably busier and happier to see us. Management needs to take a hard look at the level of apathy by employees.
