I got the baked Alaska. It was super Duper good I like the inside of the ice cream and the cake. I don't really really love meringue so I didn't really like the outside, but that's just me. The service was super Duper good and they were friendly and super Duper fast with bringing it out. I would just say that I wish the ice cream was a little bit bit more thawed when I came out. The place itself was super cute and it was really all decorated, and the bar was really fancy.

Rococo is a favorite place to stop when passing through Kennebunk- they have some unique and delicious flavors of ice cream. This year, I realized they moved down the street and opened a 'dessert bar' next to a scoop shot. I needed to check it out. They have cocktails and ice cream desserts in their beautifully Rococo- era themed space. I had a fabulous Maracuya martini- vanilla vodka, passion fruit, lime and bubbles. I needed to try the baked Alaska because it was made with my favorite Rococo flavor- Goat cheese blackberry chambord ice cream. It was divine. The staff was friendly and fun- knowledable about all the menu items. It's a woman owned and operated business. The owner is a 10th generation Mainer.

The view was incredible and they had lots of umbrellas to keep the hot sun off you while you are dining. We originally stopped to get a quick snack but our baby ended up getting hungry, so our quick stop turned into a full blown stop. The staff were super understanding and showed my husband a private corner near the entrance where he could change our baby's diaper. They also were very chill about me taking an extra moment to feed our baby. It was truly the best (and most scenic) place to regroup and take an hour to get a snack and care for the baby. We ended up ordering oysters and a poke bowl. The oysters were super tasty and fresh. The poke bowl was loaded with fish and veggies, but the rice was obviously a day old and was a bit hard and clumpy. The sauce on the poke bowl was also a bit salty. I ordered an Aperol spritz, which was perfect and complimented the sunny beach vibes well.

Well, the biggest pros about this place is obvious. There's a parking lot out front, it's located…read moreright by the water, it has big windows on pretty much 3/4 of the walls in the dining area and during the winter months, they have cute heated cottages on the deck area where you can reserve to eat with your larger groups. The servers were extremely friendly, fast, and professional. Food? Solid, but nothing to specifically come to this place for. It's your typical, upscale American cuisine, with a tiny portion of the menu dedicated to Asian-fusion esque food. I came up on a day trip so I was satisfied with my general go-to dish when coming to restaurants like this, which is a fish sandwich or fish n'chips. We also got an order of crab cakes because I wanted to eat something that was locally sourced and well, it was fine. Again, I wasn't blown away, but I wasn't offended by it either. Are there probably better restaurants in the area that has better food for your buck? Most definitely. Is this a bit of tourist trap that actually has decent food? Absolutely.

Last night was a perfect date night, starting with their specialty cocktails and oysters and steak tartare small snacks, followed by a fresh local salad and French onion soup, and main courses of chicken and lobster entries. The Chef's attention to detail was outstanding as the two-day preparation of the chicken and exceptional sauce complementing the lobster and pasta entry was a great choice for a seafood lover. All-in-all, this was an amazing experience if you appreciate creative, seasonal cooking. I'ld recommend Chez Rosa for anyone looking for a memorable meal and evening out!

The service was so lovely and we felt so welcomed despite our slightly rambunctious party. Now let's get to the food. I started with a hibiscus tea cocktail and it was my favorite cocktail I've had in a long long time. We had the corn croquettes, summer salad, white asparagus salad, and pate to start and they were all delicious. My friend had the gnocchi for dinner which she said was very good and the rest of us had the steak frites which I have to say is the best steak frites I've ever had!! I'm dreaming of it and wish I didn't live states away. It was cooked perfectly and came with delicious julienne fries with a yummy sauce. We also tried their new tallow bearnaise sauce with the steak and wow, so good. My toddler was licking the sauce containers clean. Can't wait to return in the future. And there are so many gluten free options!!!

I love that it's a bit out of the way of the downtown area so you can park and relax in a beautiful setting. We started with cocktails and drank them outside while admiring the beautiful property, i highly recommend getting there before your reservation so you can enjoy a drink on a nice day outside! I got the Tideline cocktail and substituted the tequila for mezcal after the bartender suggested it and wow! A great drink and i was impressed how fast the service was. Once we sat down inside we ordered a lovely Gamay for the table, you really can't go wrong with any of the wines on the menu they have a great selection. We ordered quite a few dishes to share between the three of us and the server brought them out in a 3 course style per her suggestion. We started with the citrus and fennel salad and grilled raddichio and these were both so fresh and delicious, we had to leftover vegetables this were exceptional. Then came the asparagus pizza, pork and beef meatballs, and the focaccia as our second course. We almost skipped the focaccia- that would have been a huge mistake. That is a must order, the texture was biscuit like and the seasonal flavored butter was divine. The pizza was really blowing us away with the white sauce and the chili crisp combination. The dough is so light and crispy as well it was wonderful. The meatballs were huge! and came with delicious grilled sourdough. The pasta and lamb shank came out next and at this point we couldn't see how it could get any better but then it did! The lamb shank is huge and cooked so beautifully. The pastas were definitely the standout bites of the course. The carbonara noodles are thick and cooked perfectly and the sauce is so rich a creamy. The Tortelli pasta was my favorite, the pockets stuffed with a gooey filling and the fava beans added a great texture to the dish. We were in carb heaven. We somehow were able to fit dessert in and i'm so glad we did not skip it. We ordered espresso martinis to accompany and this is without a doubt the best espresso martini i have ever had. We substituted tequila and they were completely delicious. I don't remember exactly what the names of the desserts were that we got but one was a a chocolate mousse with a peanut butter sauce and crunchy peanuts which was so yummy. But the favorite of the table was the pistachio one. It was like an ice cream bar with crunchy pistachios on it. Get this one if you go! This was an unforgettable meal from service to food. The staff is incredible and really treat you wonderfully and the food is so good i really didn't expect it to blow me away as much as it did. This is a place i'm going to have to come back to again and again.
