Such a cute little diner. The decor is absolutely charming, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. If we hadn't been in such a rush I would have taken more photos. My avocado toast was beautiful and delicious... you'll just have to take my word for it. The pancakes, eggs benedict, and has we also delicious. I'd love to go back on our next trip and try it again.

Great option for a quiet lunch on a wintry day. And all gluten free! The haddock sandwich and fries were delicious.

Do you guys still allow byob? That was a great and charming factor of the wayfarer that the locals loved! Hope you kept that little gem in your renovation!

Thank you for your inquiry. We have a full liquor license and are no longer able to offer byob. We hope you'll come in and enjoy our cocktail, beer and wine selection.

The staff is exceptionally attentive. I am very curious at the type of training they get but they are FANTASTIC. Our waiter Tristan was great, very patient, went over to explain every dish and how it was prepared. Coffee and tea was served within 2 minutes, followed by complimentary dishes from the kitchen. We ordered three dishes: skillet breakfast, fluffy pancakes and lobster with polenta (sorry, forgot the exact name). OMG. Those pancakes were definitely fluffy and the chef didn't skimp on chocolate chips. The skillet breakfast was savory, nutritious, side salad was a nice touch. My husband loved his polenta with lobsters, he was in the carboloading mood that day. I believe the rooms at the inn are great too; I heard other visitors commenting how much they were enjoying their stay. We would love to come back as guests next time.

She was full of recommendations (i.e. Goose Rocks Beach) and was friendly and kind without being overbearing. We showed up a bit late and the key was left in a coded lock box for us. The room was compact, but fine for my husband and I for our 2 night stay. We knew beforehand that breakfast would be boxed for us and that was fine. I was happy that they provided yogurt was Chobani and actually had some protein in it (unlike most continental breakfasts that are a carb party). We rented bikes and kayaks during our stay. It was great that they had these for us to utilize. The bikes should be covered during storage, however. They were a bit rusty. This was the priciest place that we stayed during our 7 night trip, but I wouldn't consider it the best. After our stay, I do feel that our stay should not have cost us so much.

But it feels like every time I tell a local about this spot, they've never heard of it. So why is this such a secret? Or maybe it's not, but their demographic seems to be older and touristy. Which is fine, but this place has *so much* potential to be a - for lack of a better word - hipper spot. They've got inside dining, outside dining, and the aforementioned lawn seating (albeit with a much more limited menu then when I first came; please bring back your fries with dipping sauces, Stripers, because your fries are absolutely delicious and adults like finger foods too). They're super accommodating about dietary restrictions: as a vegetarian, I tried the BBQ Jackfruit Lettuce Wraps (with pickled cabbage slaw and avocado aioli; delicious but messy), Frozen Grapes (with feta, walnuts, and honey; positively delightful and perfectly summery), Blistered Shisto Peppers (such a good shareable plate), Salt & Vinegar Chips with Dill Pickle Dip (the inner kid in you will love the fun flavors of this!), Stripers Burger (with black bean patty, swiss, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and mustard aioli; one of the better vegetarian burgers I've had!). For cocktails the PB&J ON THE ROCKS was the standout (smoked PB whisky, chambord, and frangelico). An absolute 10/10; make this your dessert and take your drink down to the Adirondack chairs to finish your evening. What would have made this an 11/10 would have been a skewer of strawberries! But they're so friendly here, I bet if I had asked they would have made it happen. Visit here. Enjoy the incredible views. Thank me later.

You get the nostalgia of the place as soon as you walk in. After I ordered, I had buyers remorse as I had not gotten some of the more famous things this place had. I am now still upset as I type this. The Lobster Pie and some of the namesake lobster sandwiches would have probably been much better than what I had. I was a bit burnt out on seafood and it was breakfastish time. I screwed up and ordered something that I knew I didn't like but thought I might be wrong. Nope. I was right, that I was wrong.... I got the country breakfast, with CITY HAM! What a moron!! I hate city ham and have no idea why I ordered it. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! Mad at myself for being a dumbass. It came with beans on toast and I ordered some kind of local sausages too. C had corned beef hash and eggs, and stole my beans and toast. I had some sausage gravy too to slap on them biscuits. Server was nice. It's hard to remember exactly because I lost my internal cool.... I did good keeping it contained, I don't think C even picked up on it as I am mastering my ability to have internal meltdowns with no external visibility. C did learn something here.... She likes baked beans on toast.... We are now looking for ways to get this elsewhere. We live in Memphis, so it's not that common. So we now ask for toast at BBQ places. Tehehe Sausage gravy was pretty good. Biscuits were fair. Hot Italian Sausages were very good, I liked them much better than city fucking ham. Beans are really nice with a good flavor and a nice kick. The side of potatoes were tasty. City ham sucks and should be banished from the planet earth immediately! I may make it back, if I do, I will get the Lobster Pie probably! Message me if you have and let me know your thoughts. We love you Maine!!! '26 - 20
