My family visited here for Monday in early July 2026 around 10:30am after a morning walk on Ogunquit's Marginal Way. On our return drive to South Portland, we were looking for places to eat in Biddeford (Palace Diner was too crowded, many restaurants were closed on Monday). The Catface Cafe was a pleasant surprise with lots of pluses. First, it has a clean and bright interior. Second, the service was friendly and professional. Third, I devoured the banh mi sandwich (which had a spicy touch of gochujang paste). My sons enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches. Fourth, the back patio space was lovely to enjoy a meal outdoors. I believe this will be the first business I have reviewed for a third time. Catface Cafe is an all time favorite of both my wife and I. It's really a combination of everything about this spot that brings us back. The only thing even close to a negative I could come up with would be the fact it's not located closer to us, but it would become dangerous and a must visit every weekend if it were closer. You will step in the door and it's a warm and welcoming space with a selection of tables, window seats and communal style table as well. Also during warmer times they have a back patio as well. The staff and owner Tyler have always been nice greeting you right away and going the extra mile for customer service! Besides the vibes the drinks and food are always top notch as well. From the chai lattes, espresso martinis, huge list of flavored lattes you really can't go wrong! Food wise since the beginning the sandwiches were my all time favorite breakfast sandwich and they continue to be! Besides their usual menu offerings they are constantly working on specials to keep you coming back for something different. For example the visit today my wife loved her Catface Florentine that came on an English muffin with swiss, bacon, sausage, spinach, with a lemon-dill aioli. Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon and it was buzzing ! Such a cute place. We ordered a miso caramel latte, 'the Biddeford' breakfast sandwich, and the Maine crab melt. miso caramel latte (5/5): was amazing and unlike any latte I've had before (almost savory tasting? Sweet but not too sweet) Biddeford breakfast sandwich (3.75/5): really interesting and tasty flavor combination, but I am personally not a fan of the egg soufflé (would prefer 'normal' eggs). I admit I went here because I saw a few contradictory reviews on Yelp and wanted to see this place for myself so I could understand if it was a good spot for breakfast or not. Let me tell you, this is a GREAT spot for breakfast! The post about it being cafeteria style seating - wow did that guy wake up on the wrong side of the bed - the seating here is EXCELLENT with plenty of room for privacy. You want a booth? Go to a restaurant, buddy! The food here was super tasty - we loved how they cook their eggs for sandwiches. We had the BLT and a sausage and egg, no complaints at all. This is a cute coffee shop in Biddeford Maine. My friend took me here on a sunday it was kind of crowded since I learned that not much is open on Sunday's. There were plenty of seats and tables in here and in the warmer months my friend told me that they have a back patio area where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and food. I also learned that this coffee shop has nothing to do with cats as I asked my friends if it is called cat face why are there no pictures or anything of cats. She then told me that cat face is a part of a tree and so this coffee shop had tree mentions all over. That made more sense to me. You learn something new everyday that is for sure. I had ordered an iced latte with regular milk. I was going to get it with Lavender flavoring but than changed my mind and got Maple Flavoring as that is what my friend got and Maple flavor is big in Maine, so I figured why not try it. It was very tasty. I also got the egg, cheese, bacon and maple breakfast sandwich. The bacon was pretty good and tasted like maple. The egg on the other hand was not that flavorful.It seemed like they were ore made eggs if that makes sense. This was my first visit to Catface Cafe, and I'm already looking forward to going back. If you're in the Biddeford-Saco area, I can't recommend this spot enough. The cafe has a cozy, quaint vibe that's perfect for unwinding -- I spent a solid hour there with a book -- yet it's also surprisingly spacious. They offer lunch and breakfast options. Was looking for a quick bite before going to study and we stumbled upon Catface Cafe. Parking in this area is a little tricky but there's plenty of street parking. When we arrived we were shocked about how we never discovered this place before. We ordered the Biddeford, the Saco, and the Maine popover. Everything was really very delicious. I try to only go when the young man is working because sadly he is the only one who knows how to make a matcha. Every time someone else has made mine it has been all milk no matcha. I used to order it with honey because he even knows to melt the honey in the hot water first, my hero! But I stopped because everyone else just squeezes honey into cold liquid and doesn't seem to understand it'll just stick to the bottom of the cup. Can't taste the matcha and can barely see it, it's not even green. This is so frustrating when they charge $7. It's really not hard at all, could easily train everyone in 5 minutes. read more

Came here on a whim because Papou's was closed. Got a Mill and a Bahn Mi for lunch. The Mill was underwhelming as far as pastrami sandwiches go. The Bahn Mi was a better performer with excellent bread and well made tofu. I would say that neither sandwich brought a rounded sandwich experience and were kind of on the light side and felt like they were missing something. We got a cinnamon bun for a little treat afterward and it was kind of a flop. Dry-ish, cinnamon forward, but overall lacking flavor. While very nice inside, it lacks comfort and ease. The seating is central and cafeteria like, which doesn't give you much privacy or comfort. Everything is serve yourself, but tips are still requested. I think some tweaks to the seating and the food and this place could be a gem, but right now it feels too new and not figured out. read more

Longer cook time to tenderize the meat more. The portions were miniscule--no more than three slices of meat, the amount of sour kraut was a terrible joke. We had a lazy Sunday morning and with it being rainy, we decided to head to Catface Cafe in Biddeford. It's SO good! We had a great chat with Tyler, one of the co-owners. He explained that some of the tables they have had feel sticky because of the varnish, so they're replacing all of them! Including a big table by the front window for bigger groups. I noticed the antique tin ceiling, too. Super cool and glad it survived all these years. Our late breakfast was awesome! Classic sandwich was a well cooked cheesy egg and bacon on a nice soft roll. Each time we stop by Biddeford we come across another gem. Catface cafe is the latest coffee roaster and cafe in town. The space is wonderfully spacious and airy with private outside seating. The coffee is so smooth. This town takes such care with the brewing and presentation of the coffees. Apparently Catface is also a wine bar. This was my first visit to Catface and what an absolute delight. The service was quick yet personable. The atmosphere was very welcoming and chill. You place your order, find a seat, and wait for your name to be called. Scrambled eggs with turkey, spinach, avocado and lemon aioli on a potato bun, So good I'm not sure I'll try anything else. Friend had the avocado toast which she said was excellent, but wished they had toasted the bread before broiling it. Only minor complaint is I wish they had an English breakfast tea or another strong black tea. Only had Earl Grey. We will definitely be back. Had not opened their patio seating yet. Ordered a waffle that cost at least $10. What I was served was a slab of cold concrete with some blueberries on top. I quietly mentioned this to one of 2 people working there and the young man said he would take care of it. Round 2, served another break your teeth not even lukewarm concrete waffle which was also inedible. Since I was with my teenage grandson, I did not pursue further and we left.
