I've been here once and would definitely love to come again! As a vegetarian it can be hard to find a good breakfast sandwich and this place has my favorite one in the area! The coffee was flavorful and a great roast. We (3 people) ordered via takeout and it was ready within 10 minutes or less, so in my book, pretty quick for all that we had ordered! We missed the Yelp Insider event here recently, so we decided to go today to make up for it. Really glad we did! The space is bright and comfy with cool decor. Menu boards give you drink options and menu pages at the counter give you breakfast and lunch options. The staff was busy, but did a great job with a custom drink order and we're also keeping the seating area nice and tidy. We split breakfast sandwiches. They were both really fantastic!!! Also a small and suepr tasty apple tart from the case. Can't wait to go back to try lunch options! A gem in Saco! read more

TLDR: great food, can get overwhelmingly noisy at times, bad music choice, lukewarm service experience. I hate those buzzers. To start, the food here is great. I love their bagels!! I'd say the food is fairly priced for the quality you get. Atmosphere and service can be hit or miss. If you go at the right times, it's great. It gets way too loud way too quickly with those stupid beepers. I wish they would just call out names like every other cafe. The beeping becomes pretty constant and it is hard to actually relax and enjoy the cafe experience. The music choice has been pretty bad, at least ever time we've been and usually played way too loudly for comfort. It's been a lot of 2010's pop (imagine dragons, twenty one pilots, lorde) the past few times we have visited. Paired with the beeping from the buzzers and regular restaurant chatter it can very easily become overwhelming if you're sensitive to noise like I am. Service can be good when it's with the right people at the front, but my partner and I are routinely misgendered at the register which has soured our experience a little. read more

We went back today because we loved it so much! I had the Mill today, equally delicious. I'm truly hoping to come back and update this review with better news. I noticed this spot had changed names so we stopped in after a morning of plant-shopping. I got an iced matcha, mom got an iced coffee and we split two pastries - one being a raspberry cheese and the other a maple pecan. Pastries were a huge hit, and the revamped space was cute. The iced matcha was frothy green water, and I unfortunately have to say the same about the coffee. Feels like they make a batch of coffee, put ice in it and send it on its way - which we all know leads to brown water. Beverages could use some work - especially for a spot which will be slingin' lots of em. We'll check it out again in a couple of weeks to see how it goes. read more

This place used to be CIA Cafe, and this was my first time coming in since they changed owners. The menu is still the same- thank god! This time I got the Willard on a croissant which was TO DIE FOR. My other favorite breakfast sandwich to get from here is the Maple- also would recommend getting it on a croissant! read more

The food was amazing and the atmosphere is cute. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese on the croissant which was delicious. However, the barista did not know how to make a latte. She heated the espresso and poured cold milk in to the drink rather than steaming the milk. When asked to make a new one, the barista did and made it the correct way. read more

We had a chance to come back to Saco after several months. One of our first stops was for breakfast at Social House Kitchen. The food was just as good as the first time we stopped here! Closed 45 minutes early with four customers at the door trying to get in and buy food. Ridiculous. Workers ignored our knocks and while looking directly at us continued cleaning up the chairs and shutting down. Happy to take our appetite and money elsewhere.
