I stopped for lunch and it did not disappoint. The decor was beautiful, and the waitresses were very nice. The food was fair priced for the large portions. I got the arroz con pollo (rice with chicken). The flavor was so good seasoned very well. My friend got the Bandeja Paisa. Our meals came with tostones at the bottom, they were both delicious. I mentioned it was my birthday and they came out and sang happy birthday to me. Overall amazing experience, and would recommend highly. read more

I've been to the other Tostones Cafe and was a fan of their lunch food so when I saw this location offered breakfast I was excited - and for good reason, the food was delicious and exactly what I was hoping for, a little something different than the usual. While you can get the regular eggs, omellettes, etc. you can also get a delicious 'tostones toast' (mashed fried plantain with guacamole, meaty bits, scrambled eggs and a deliciously spicy creamy sauce. I really want to go back and try the Yucca Waffle and a few other options. My husband had enchiladas for breakfast and was delighted. We had cafe w/milk and I had a hot chocolate with breakfast too. Delicious. They have a little outside seating but plenty of seating on the inside. The vibe is tropical and warm and the service is super friendly and awesome, we felt very welcome. My Tostones Toast was challenging to eat with a fork and knife but was easy enough to eat with my hands and was delicious, my husband's food was delightful too. read more

The cafe was conveniently located, nicely decorated outside and inside, we were greeted as we entered, seated quickly, the waitress was difficult to understand, their menu was unnecessarily confusing, all items were overpriced, the food was fair, and coffee was very average and overpriced and too small...for a cafe, and then the ambiance was passable. My mom and I went here on a snow day in December. Most places were closed, but Tostones remained open, and we had both been wanting to try it out. We ate inside, and we were the only people in there. The space is beautiful. It's so welcoming and warm. The staff are all extremely friendly, and they play great music. It's a vibe all around. We ordered a TON of food for two people, and there's nothing I wouldn't recommend. OOB is lucky to have this new option. read more

Decided to give this a try. We walked in and there was only one other person in the restaurant. We were seated quickly and offered coffee. That came quickly and was delicious. A few other people came in and were seated. Their orders were taken before ours which wasn't a big deal but they ate, paid the bill and left before our meals came out. It took over an hour to get breakfast. We had French toast which was presented beautifully but it was burnt on one side and under cooked on the other. The omelet was sooo salty. The one piece of toast (which didn't come out with the omelet) was burnt to a crisp to eat. The waitstaff did the bare minimum. Had to chance them down at the register for the check. Very disappointed and won't return which is disappointing as we're always looking for a new breakfast spot. read more

Tostones cafe is relatively new here in old Orchard Beach. This particular establishment is located in the Landry's grocery store plaza.. There is plenty of parking in the inside is very clean. They offer bothboth breakfast and lunch. As of right now their hours are 6 AM to 3 PM Monday through Sunday. The service is great. They have a very friendly weight staff. They have a great selection in their menu and if you get their breakfast, I highly suggest their French toast. It is perfect! As an old Orchard Beach local it's nice to have a restaurant like this open all season long. If you stop by.. Tell them Stew sent ya! read more

Boy, am I glad we waited 45 minutes to get to Tostones Cafe. The food was AMAZING. My husband had the Tostones toast with a modification to how the eggs were done. He enjoyed it. I went for the emanadas de carne, beef,with the aji sauce. OUTSTANDING! But, that wasn't all. I enjoyed some freshly cooked Chicaronnes with yuca. DELICIOUS! Rounding out my meal was a refreshing sandia, watermellon, refresher. I look forward to coming back and trying the Arroz con pollo. Wish they were closer, home is 2 hours away. read more

This place is my new fave. It checks all the boxes. I had the Yucca waffles. They were the absolute best I ever had. So light and delicious.
