Everything looked so good that we forgot to take pictures of most of it before we dug in! So glad we checked out this new spot. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious! The croissants and quiche crust were both beautifully buttery. The blueberry croissant was unique, in the best way. Variety of coffee drinks were enjoyed by all as well. Perfect to enjoy on a quiet Drakes Island beach! And the staff and atmosphere were both lovely. We'll be back!

The Baker Bru Cafe was a perfect roadside stop on our trip. Everything about this place was excellent! The pastries and pies, coffee and tartlets were absolutely delicious and the staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful. The even had gluten free options!

These are by far the best donuts I have ever had in my life. Unfortunately at the time of purchase,…read moreI had only gotten two donuts. It wasn't until I got to Crane Estate in Ipswich when I started chomping down on these fried delectables sent from heaven. Imaginary tears ran down my face as I picked out the last bit of crumbs from my bag. If you are a tourist who is in the area, be sure to at least grab a dozen donuts. Calories are temporary but memories of eating these amazing donuts will last you a lifetime.

Wait, not me eating three doughnuts in one day, because that is exactly what happened. I don't even…read moreeat doughnuts!!!! Tell me what made me think it was a good idea to stop here on my way back to Long Island. I have never put a more delicious doughnut in my mouth before, these were, sensational, divine, just sinful. What am I ordering? I don't know, so I asked the woman behind the counter. She told me to get their honey dipped, which is probably the last doughnut I would have gone for had I been left to my own devices. But like, if I'm getting one, I'm getting two and if I'm getting two, might as well get three. So I also ordered the blueberry fritter and a pumpkin spice. I walked out to my car and said, I'm just having a bite of each to experience this and that's it. I'm sorry but good GOD I have never. I have no words, the honey dipped are you kidding me!?!?! The fluffy, sweet, amazing texture, melt in your mouth, perfection. I've never had anything like it. The blueberry fritter, divine, pumpkin spice, incredible. I literally pulled over on my drive home to put the box in my trunk so I would stop taking bites. Anyways, all three were gone that night by me and only me and I have no regrets, everyone needs to experience this moment of utter bliss and joy.

WHY?! Why?!?! Why?!?!?!(Tears)…read more I am beyond disappointed. I wait all year for a slice of the best carrot cake and make a special trip just for that. This has been my go to birthday cake spot for many years now. It started with a Mom's weekend in Ogunquit where I fell in love with the carrot cake. It was the ultimate slice of cake, tall- multi layered, moist, full of nuts, covered and filled with smooth and delicious frosting with nut covered outside, big enough slice for leftovers. Well, NOT ANY MORE! Who decided to change all the sliced cakes in to presliced and packaged sheet cake? Not only sheet cake, thin dense layers of cake. They didnt even cut off the exterior part so the cake would bond to the frosting. YUCK! I have never seen carrot cake in sheet cake form, and there is a reason for it.where is the side frosting with nuts? We bought all 5 flavors of cake. Yes $50 worth of cake. All were sheet cake slices. All 5 were slightly over baked, thin, dense layers with the frosting just sitting on top of the layers. There is nothing lovely about a slice of cake that is prepared like a lazy home baker. It's like they don't care. To whoever made the decision to cut corners to make things easier for production or whatever, you have ruined the most delicious cake. It's too bad that person doesn't think the customer deserves the very best slice. Why would someone comeback to buy a full cake after buying that? Bad business decision for you Bread and Roses. I know I will no longer recommend. I guess I will be going back to Whole Foods. The following is the cake discriptions from website... Bread & Roses Signature Wedding Cake Three layers of yellow butter cake layered with raspberry mousse, finished with white chocolate buttercream and white chocolate shavings. Funny Bone Three layers of chocolate fudge cake layered with peanut butter buttercream and finished with a dark chocolate glaze. Chocolate Truffle Torte Three layers of chocolate fudge cake layered with rich, dark chocolate ganache and finished with a dark chocolate glaze. Maine Blueberry Lemon Cake Two layers of yellow butter cake with Maine blueberries and fresh lemon juice, layered and finished with a lemon cream cheese buttercream. Carrot Cake Two layers of moist carrot cake with walnuts folded in. Layered and finished with a cream cheese buttercream, garnished with chopped walnuts.
