We passed this cafe while on our way to Kennebunkport downtown and had to stop. The outside of the cafe is sooo cute and there is lots of outdoor seating. I'd love to return on a nice day with my book. The inside of the cafe is similarly adorable and they have a wide range of dessert offerings. We had a hard time choosing two drinks from the huge menu, and eventually settled on a Campfire Cold Brew and Banana Bread Chai. The server was incredibly helpful in helping me figure out what I wanted, as I was trying to avoid caffeine. The Banana Bread Chai was very delicious, although it could have been a bit thicker and could've used a little more banana flavoring. I'm comparing it to the Starbucks banana bread latte, which I actually prefer, although I'm not a huge Starbucks fan. The Campfire Cold Brew was tasty and had lots of chocolate syrup, but the coffee also tasted a little bitter and watery. read more

We went to Mornings in Paris based on a recommendation, and since we were in Kennebunk for breakfast, we decided to head there for French crepes. We got in line, picked out our flavors from the sign above the register, and when we went to order, were told that unfortunately they weren't doing crepes that day. We were very disappointed and wished we had gone to the Ogunquit location, where we passed a sign that said they do crepes daily. We settled for a quick apple cider drink and chocolate croissant. We can't say we were overly impressed by the croissant, and in fact ended up at a true authentic French bakery shortly after, which put in perspective how lack luster this one really was. I liked the seating style at Mornings in Paris outside, and was happy to find a free parking lot here. However, I don't see ourselves returning on future visits to the area. read more

This really used to be a amazing place to get delicious fantastic pastries! I would wait in the longest line to get pastries from Mornings in paris. But not anymore. I went there today and the pastry case is sloppy the pastries look old and very unappetizing. Was very sad to see what's happened since the last time I've been here maybe 6 months ago! This really was an icon of a place that I have told everybody about and sadly I can no longer recommend this place to visit. So I hope that they can figure out what's wrong and make whatever Corrections are needed to their pastry production otherwise I don't see a long future for them. Very sad. So sad how this cafe has gone down hill since the owner change several years ago. Good? Meh. Nothing truly exceptional and nothing you can't find elsewhere. Nothing truly French about it. Service? Average, at best. Gone are the days when the staff would interact with the customers and actually take pride in the experience. Same service you might get at a convenience store. Roast beef sandwich was meh. No taste to the beef and tasteless tomatoes that were not ripe. Shouldn't have been served. Outdoor seating remains nice, though cleanliness is an issue. Dirty table tops, paper on the ground, etc. and not one employee checked the area during the 45 mins I was there Also - bathrooms have overflowing wastebaskets and zero soap!! Please fix this. If you are over the age of 60, and on Friday, May 29, 2025 there seemingly was 5 age over 60 to every 1 age under 60 people on the streets and in the shops and restaurants of Kennebunk, Maine, DON'T go near this establishment. I walked in, ordered a coffee and the clerk turned a monitor to me and said "that will be $X.XX". So I pulled out a $5.OO bill and offered it to him. His response was "in MAINE we don't have to take cash. There is no law requiring us to take cash". Well, before I RETIRED I worked for a FEDERAL AGENCY for 30 years AUDITING electronic funds transfers and every state is subject to Electronic Funds Transfer Provisions of the FEDERAL RESERVE ACT. As part of this Act there is a provision requiring anyone using a transfer system to accept cash in lieu of invoking the transfer if the amount is under $2000.00 (ever wonder why your bank wants to know all that info when you make a transfer over $2000.00? Because of the fees the Fed Reserve charges and the charge back provisions of the Federal Reserve Act). It's a Federal Law, KID, not a State Law. Well, being a RESIDENT OF MAINE it wasn't a long trip home. I proceeded to look up the MAINE LAW, verified it was the same as the Fed Law and am contemplating what do. I know I will not frequent this establishment ever again like I do any establishment that pulls this scam on me. So I encourage all the rest of us older Americans who want to keep our info our own business to avoid this business in Kennebunk. read more

Great ambience, and a very attractive little spot in 'downtown' Kennebunk. Problem: perhaps it's the bored Summer help. No greeting. No cash accepted, which is a bad trend .... touch the screen, pick a tip amount (for what, exactly?), no printed receipt ... they'll email or text it to you. Uh, no. They'll prepare the coffee with whatever creamer, but any sweetener is done after you pick it up at the other counter end - and no one notifies you. The cups are marked in unreadable scrawl, so you know mistakes must happen all the time. Sad that terrific small businesses let the public face of their shops slack off. It contained a lot of blueberries but still managed to be pretty dry. The coffee was really good. I had the light roasts on both of my visits. It was smooth and easy to drink. I was glad to have it served so hot on one of the particularly cold mornings. They make all types of coffee drinks, but I was feeling just regular coffee. They have a lot of options to choose from. A quick pit stop at Kennenbunkport on our way back. While many stores were still closed thankfully they were busy. We did a quick carry out though the spinach croissant pastry was good, the scone was too dry and the macaroons weren't as flaky and authentic. Americanized Parisian coffee shop though with cute interiors. I'm not a fan of marzipan so I had specifically asked about the pistachio macaroon, I was told it didn't have any marzipan flavor though it tasted very much like a marzipan flavored cookie The hot chocolate was ok, but I was expecting European flavor, dark chocolate and less sugary treats.
