BLUEBERRY LEMON CHEESECAKE and FRENCH BREAKFAST CRÊPES

A wonderful coffee shop experience in Morning in Paris! The crepes and pastries were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and truly caring, and the service was great from start to finish. The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting--perfect for a relaxing breakfast or coffee stop while visiting Ogunquit.

Updated review: I went back to try the macarons - after all, this is what people recommend it for. The cookie was hard and filling too creamy and tooooo sweet. Not the soft, fresh and fluffy texture and flavor I expected. It almost felt like it was stale - sitting there for days. I am quite disappointed

I am macaron obsessed so I was excited to see there was a shop that carried them. So many flavors! I decided on a dozen with: orange blossom, coconut, dark chocolate, cotton candy, cookies and cream, fruity cereal, white chocolate, pistachio, earl grey, wedding almond, birthday cake, and forgot the last 1-oops. $37 bucks for the dozen. When I looked at the box I realized that they are not made in the bakery but shipped in from NY. The ones I tried were all great-perfect amount of filling and exactly the right amount of chew. Just wish they were more authentic and made on site...

This is a fun little coffee/pastry shop. The prices are definitely a little high, but you're also in OGT so you have to expect it. Great variety of flavored lattes. However, it was a bit cold coming out. Pretty tight seating, but there's plenty of it as well as outdoor seating. Small tables very intimate.

Took way too long. I ordered two large black iced coffees. Got one okay. The other was a medium by mistake. I tried to get the annoying girl at the counter to fill up a large cup with it, but all I heard was crap like "do you want to repay for it?" They made the mistake and they wanted me to waste another 10 minutes waited for a little coffee top-off. Coffee was gross also. Not worth it, get Backyard behind the crooked pine or Greenery Express. Way better and way cheaper!

We vacation in Ogunquit every July, so I have visited Mornings in Paris in the summer each year. I decided to buy a bag of Mornings in Ogunquit to try in July 2022, as my favorite coffee from another provider had been discontinued. Mornings in Ogunquit is a dark roast blend and it's my new favorite. I order it online from Morningsinparis.com and it's shipped to our house. I am also able to get help with questions via email about different blends that are offered seasonally, which I will order to try as well. Great coffee!

This cute cafe in the heart of Downtown Ogunquit, ME has the best coffee I've ever tasted! I get the Salt & Silk iced latte. Usually, coffee makes me feel jittery. I don't feel like that after drinking this latte. It's the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and creamy. This cafe also offers a selection of delicious looking baked goods. I've tried the cinnamon swirl and banana tea breads (both gluten free). The cinnamon swirl wasn't the best baked good I've had, but gluten free is hard to get right, and I am grateful there are options! I would get the banana tea bread again. In between the cafe and the building next door is a shaded patio with beautiful foliage and plenty of outdoor seating. Overall: Highly recommend their coffee, nice place to stop on a hot day.

Nice coffee shop! Stopped here for some pastries and coffee. They have signature coffees, and seasonal drinks. I enjoy anything with hazelnuts so I had to try their hazelnut soy latte which was very good. My bf can't do caffeine so they offer some non-caffeinated options. He opted for a hot cider drink which was very hot but perfect for a cool autumn day. We also got almond croissants to share and a savory bagel. Both were very good. They have a few tables to sit outside which we used to enjoy our treats.

Great tasting lattes. They had beautiful looking baked goods and macaroons on display. Limited indoor seating. The staff here is wonderful. They offer many different types of specialty hot beverages. They don't take cash, only credit so save your cash for the mom and pop shops.

A cute gem of a cafe in downtown Ogunquit! Their chocolate cake is so good that we thought about getting it twice during our short stay. We grabbed some hot apple cider chai after a long travel day and some macarons as well. The macarons were delicious and a perfect little treat. They have a wide variety of specialty coffees and teas - definitely heard great things about their crème brûlée coffee! Another great thing about this cafe is that they are open 7 days a week and open from early morning to 5pm. It is hard to find a bakery or cafe that's open until the late afternoon and it was very nice to grab a nice cup of coffee after a long day!

Iced Americano was good. Didn't try but the pastries and bakery items don't look like they are made in house. Would go back for the coffee.

WHY?! Why?!?! Why?!?!?!(Tears)…read more I am beyond disappointed. I wait all year for a slice of the best carrot cake and make a special trip just for that. This has been my go to birthday cake spot for many years now. It started with a Mom's weekend in Ogunquit where I fell in love with the carrot cake. It was the ultimate slice of cake, tall- multi layered, moist, full of nuts, covered and filled with smooth and delicious frosting with nut covered outside, big enough slice for leftovers. Well, NOT ANY MORE! Who decided to change all the sliced cakes in to presliced and packaged sheet cake? Not only sheet cake, thin dense layers of cake. They didnt even cut off the exterior part so the cake would bond to the frosting. YUCK! I have never seen carrot cake in sheet cake form, and there is a reason for it.where is the side frosting with nuts? We bought all 5 flavors of cake. Yes $50 worth of cake. All were sheet cake slices. All 5 were slightly over baked, thin, dense layers with the frosting just sitting on top of the layers. There is nothing lovely about a slice of cake that is prepared like a lazy home baker. It's like they don't care. To whoever made the decision to cut corners to make things easier for production or whatever, you have ruined the most delicious cake. It's too bad that person doesn't think the customer deserves the very best slice. Why would someone comeback to buy a full cake after buying that? Bad business decision for you Bread and Roses. I know I will no longer recommend. I guess I will be going back to Whole Foods. The following is the cake discriptions from website... Bread & Roses Signature Wedding Cake Three layers of yellow butter cake layered with raspberry mousse, finished with white chocolate buttercream and white chocolate shavings. Funny Bone Three layers of chocolate fudge cake layered with peanut butter buttercream and finished with a dark chocolate glaze. Chocolate Truffle Torte Three layers of chocolate fudge cake layered with rich, dark chocolate ganache and finished with a dark chocolate glaze. Maine Blueberry Lemon Cake Two layers of yellow butter cake with Maine blueberries and fresh lemon juice, layered and finished with a lemon cream cheese buttercream. Carrot Cake Two layers of moist carrot cake with walnuts folded in. Layered and finished with a cream cheese buttercream, garnished with chopped walnuts.

After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There is parking avail for customers in the lot for 30 mins, we prob waited about 20 mins and crossed the threshold into baked goods heaven. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!

That's exactly what happened for my wife and I, we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for our table. We came over and wanted to just browse around to spend that time doing something instead of just sitting. You'll find it to have an overall rustic vibe when you step inside. Typically for grocery shopping my wife and I will go to Hannaford and when we are feeling like grabbing some bread we always go with When Pigs Fly sourdough. The prices may be higher than some of the larger brands but the quality is far superior from When Pigs Fly. Having a piece of their usual sourdough or cinnamon raisin sourdough for breakfast with some butter or sunflower butter is a perfect addition to breakfast! Coming here to the company store was even better with many more options for flavors of sourdough including some seasonal loaves. We actually snagged a current seasonal they had which was Blueberry Raspberry Lemonade Bread. Bought it yesterday and had it for a delicious breakfast this morning! Will make some French toast with it later in the week as well! They have a variety of other items, some their brands and some other brands available for purchase as well! So even if you aren't feeling their bread check it out for the other things they sell. Also if you have not tried their bread and want to try before buying snag a sandwich at the restaurant and try before you buy at least one flavor of bread that is! Worth a stop along Route 1!
