Walking distance from my motel so I visited mid week in June for a breakfast burrito about 730AM…read more Busy but with empty tables. I was alone and got seated at a two top quickly. Waitress was nice but accidentally overlooked me - water and coffee went first to the couple next to me who were seated after me. I had to get her attention, she apologized for forgetting the drinks and was pleasant. She then asked me if I wanted my check less than 10 minutes after I was served and at that point I kept an eye on my watch. I asked for a refill on water and it was a little awkward. I walked out the door 15 minutes after she asked me if I wanted the check, so maybe 25 minutes after being served and with the feeling that I had overstayed my welcome. I paid $28 for the food and a mug of coffee with tip and had the strong feeling that I overstayed my welcome. As a person who earns $25 an hour it's a big deal to go out for breakfast and this experience felt bad. I ordered the burrito without sausage and it was very bland; so maybe the usual seasoning didn't work without sausage. Hash browns, shredded potato style, were forgettable...not raw but also not especially well cooked or seasoned. Syscoesque guacamole, sourcream, pico on the side. More of a bakery pancake/waffle/place than eggs. Def not a burrito place.

Such a wonderful cafe in Ogunquit!…read more There was a little bit of a line when we arrived, but the food was delivered faster than expected. Ambiance is relaxing and cozy. Service was great! Menu boasts tons of options, but husband and I opted for egg dishes. My kids enjoyed yogurt and granola. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We admired the giant and aesthetic baked goods but didn't try any-maybe next time!

What a nice and welcoming place. I had read about it during a previous visit to the area but we…read morefound it closed that time. For this most recent visit, I was determined to go there and we were not dissapointed! It was everything a cute little breakfast joint should be. The food came out fast and was plentiful. It was fun to sit at the bar area and be able to watch them make the omelettes too. I only wish there had been a child-size omelette on offer (or maybe there was and I missed it). I didn't want a lot of food but would have liked to have had one, they just seemed like more food than I personally needed that day. Keep up the great work and we'll be sure to visit again.

I ordered the Irish Benedict, which came with corned beef hash, and it was excellent. The corned beef hash tasted homemade and flavorful, and the poached eggs and hollandaise were cooked just right. My husband had a spinach, mushroom, and cheese omelette and my daughter loved her lox breakfast sandwich. Everything on the table felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The wait wasn't long at all, and the service was efficient and friendly. Our food came out promptly, and we felt well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, a good little breakfast place with homemade food and a warm atmosphere.

My wife, children, grandchildren and parents have dined at M.C. Perkins Cove since the days of Mark…read moreand Clark. The food there is excellent. The menu varies by season and always reflects a local Maine touch. The appetizers are exquisite (Shellfish Tower, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters, Salads and Chowders) and the entrees always tasteful whether its the lobster, salmon, scallops, which are always fresh , or the beef, chicken or duck dishes, all are perfectly cooked as ordered. The wine list is ample and if there is something that you want for a special occasion, you should call in advance and they may be able to order it. No guarantees but they try! And the desserts, well my mouth is watering as I write this. Please bring back the sticky toffee pudding!!! We have always found the wait staff to be professional, patient and polite. Dana and Javier have done a great job juggling the natural challenges in this area. Trainees shadow the pros and they learn how to handle the range of high-low and no maintenance guests. We have seen them all! The ambience is warm and inviting and of course, the many views of the cobalt blue Atlantic and Marginal Way from the roof deck and most tables simply wraps the entire dining experience into a magical evening. If you have never gone, plan your parking because like all great restaurants tucked into small seacoast towns in Maine, its is in short supply, and if you can't find it, there are pay-for parking options within a short 2 minute walk. So, all in all, you must take the time to visit M.C. Perkins Cove Restaurant when you are in Ogunquit.

My martini was perfect, but food left a lot to be desired. I was debating between the mac & cheese (without lobster) and the stuffed leeks. The server convinced me to get the stuffed leeks. When they came out, the leeks themselves/the filling were room temp (like not hot or cold), but the sauce around it was hot, which I thought was odd. It almost seemed like the leeks had been sitting out for a while and then the sauce was poured on at the last second. I didn't want to sound crazy by asking the server if the dish should be warm, so shortly after receiving, I asked to order the kids mac & cheese. It was $16!!! For such a small portion. I didn't even finish 2/3 of the leeks and was kind of hoping to get it taken off our bill since I paid $28 for something I didn't end up eating due to how it was served/worry about food being left out and not properly heated. We had a hard time choosing where to eat because everything around the area had like three stars, but would come highly recommend recommended. This is one I think I would say could be skipped! My friend got the lobster croquettes and said the croquettes were warm and the lobster was cold. Not sure if that was intentional?
