Ice cream with unique blend of flavors in a cozy creamery in downtown Ogunquit . Friendly staff . Quick service good size scoops and delectable flavors . Blackberry with white chocolate chips and raspberry with dark chocolate chips , a perfect marriage of berries and chocolate makes it a marriage made in Ogunquit . I shared it but still devoured it till the last bit . Not too sweet , real berry flavors and the choco chip bits in every bite makes an incredible mouthful of ice cream goodness . I would recommend this place highly over the neighborhood ice cream shops in the area . Try it ! You will go back for more !

SMALL. Half blueberry pie/ half Maine berry

Iconic local ice cream spot!! Located in the heart of DT, often times there will be a line here (which is how you know it's good). They get all their ice cream from a well known local dairy place. You can tell the ice cream quality is good here. I went for a more unique/different flavor I hadn't really seen anywhere else. I got the size small but did half blueberry pie and half main black bear. I saw you can also get a sampler which had 3 choices for you. They were super generous with the portions, which I appreciated. Although the line was long they were able to keep the lines moving. Don't forget to ask for the free rainbow/chocolate sprinkles. Prices are about reasonable for the quality and size you are getting. You pay extra for the cones and any addition toppings. I would return to try some other unique Maine flavors.

I love this ice cream place! They have a large variety of flavors that are fun and funky and not to mention all very delicious as well. I like that they have unique flavors that taste good and are not overwhelmingly sweet. They do a fantastic job at making their base ice cream, it has a very creamy and fluffy texture. I would highly, highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area vacationing!

Blueberry pie ice cream? I love you..

My in laws were raving about this spot and I can see why. Freshly made ice cream using local ingredients. Walking in, Sweet Pea's ice cream shop is a cute little shop offering amazing ice cream flavors. All of us were starting to see that you can put Maine Blueberries in anything. How about a pie? Then, make an ice cream flavor called Blueberry Pie Ice Cream?! Blueberry is not my go to flavor but what Sweet Pea created was sophisticated flavor using local ingredients as well as pie! Cute little spot, I'm so glad we stopped

Head over to Sweet Pea's on Shore Rd in Ogunquit. Not for its popularity or anything- but if you're in need of nice ice cream flavor options and a last minute nighttime, rainy day or any day craving, this might be your answer. This place is small. Just small. And because of COVID, there are restrictions on how many folks are allowed inside. There's plastic film hung from the ceiling to limit germs when you place order/pay as well as plastic by their ice cream selection. Prices are fair. Ice cream is fresh and creamy. Didn't pick up on any freezer burn taste or feel. With an empty ice cream shop, hubs and I waited more than 5 minutes. But a young girl doing double-duty, entered Sweet Pea's from a gift shop directly next door using a shared door space and immediately took our order. Maybe a buzzer should be put in place that'll let her know when customers are ready to order up? Other than that, nice place if you have a sweet-tooth.

The adorable store front of this shop made me want to come inside for a scoop!

I contimplated giving this shop a higher rating due to the shop being adorably cute and the staff being totally AWESOME, but this is about the quality and taste of the ice cream and this shop fell very short. Although they had some creative combinations of flavors, the ice cream itself was bland. It had some texture elements with the fudge and the mini peanut butter cups, but honestly the base ice cream was lack luster which made the experience of eating the ice cream not all that exciting. I have had similar flavor in store bought cartons of Moose Tracks (the ice cream I ordered). I had much higher expectation of the ice cream, and I am not sure they actually make their own ice cream (the webiste doesn't say and I didn't ask when I was there), but it needs some work on the flavor profile for sure. The price is average ($14.90 for a child scoop and a regular scoop +tip) and the scoops are relatively nice size (I forgot to snap a pic). I had the Moose Tracks and my spouse had lemon sorbet. If you are looking for full bodied flavor this isn't really that kind of ice-cream shop, but if you like Cold Stone style texture this place has some of that texture combination which is fun and interesting.

Really good ice cream spot in downtown Ogunquit. They serve Richardsons ice cream. Good customer service, and reasonable prices. Best ice cream spot in the area.

This shop is tiny! I think four people can fit inside at a time but that's irrelevant. The line was about 10 people long when we joined it and even though there was a sign saying things moved slowly due covid/staffing we felt it actually moved quite quickly. They were not serving any milkshakes in an effort to further speed things along. The Death by Chocolate (dark chocolate ice cream with milk chocolate twirl, chocolate chips and decadent fudge brownies) was every bit as great as it sounds. Very smooth ice cream, rich with flavor it not overpowering. Green Monster (I'm guessing tribute to Fenway Park's famed left field wall) was incredible - and that's coming from a Yankee fan. Mint ice cream with Oreos and a fudge swirl - so flavorful but not overpowering, huge chunks of cookie, simple a great scoop!

The ice cream was so bad that after they rudely refused to give me another flavor or refund me, I threw it away.

Great home made ice cream. We tried Big Daddy's as well and Sweet Pea's was our clear favorite.

Very good flavors but extremely over priced. I guess that's normal for a touristic area.

After a lovely boat tour, we decided to have ice cream for lunch. Hey, what happens on vacation…read more.. Cute shop, friendly staff, and WOW the ice cream choices! I had a hard time deciding, but finally settled on the Apple Crisp in a sugar cone, and it was scrumptious!! Real ice cream with premium ingredients. My husband Sea Salt Caramel, and I had to try it, too. Fabulous! Definitely coming back! Bonus: a little outdoor seating (couple tables) was an option we took advantage of.

We visited Boston over the weekend and decided to make a stop to see the cape neddick nubble light…read morehouse. We decided to make another stop in this area. After lunch we always look for something to cool down with, so we decided to make a stop in here after taking a short walk in the shopping area. "What's your popular flavor?" Which were Maine blueberry and a whoopie pie flavor (vanilla base with whoopie chunk pieces) both were good but the whoopie pie was a bit sweet for me. Those were the only two flavors that I tried since I didn't want to hold up a line and be indecisive, per usual lol, so I went with the strawberry cheesecake and the Maine blueberry. Both ice creams were really good and I'm glad the Employee put the blueberry on the bottom as "save the best for last" Both ice creams weren't overly sweet. The Blueberry had a balance natural blueberry taste without tasting too tarty. The strawberry Cheesecake had strawberry swirls AND also HUGE chunks of cheesecake pieces with the graham cracker crust which elevated the flavor! I wonder if they make their own cheesecake or use a cheesecake from a local bakery. you could get milkshakes, sundaes and add toppings to your ice cream. You can even buy coffee along with making a coffee milkshakes. Paid parking if you're visiting the area to walk the trail or shop. This place is a good addition for this area. I'm not familiar with the area but seems like this ice cream parlor is the only one in this neighborhood besides the one we saw near the light house. Definitely check them out! Support small business!
