Scoop Deck - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Wells, Maine

Adorable, aesthetic place with a ridiculous amount of hard ice cream flavors and spacious outdoor seating. My boyfriend is a coffee ice cream connoisseur so he got a small dirty water (Columbian coffee with swirls) in a waffle cone which was gigantic and absolutely delicious. I got the famous pink carton flight. The list of flavors is very overwhelming and I am a creature of habit with peanut butter or chocolate themed ice creams, however I decided to branch out and try a huge variety. I got Peanut butter pie, Lemon meringue, Salty caramel truffle, Seriously s'mores, Blueberry crumble, Boston blackout. My favorite was still the peanut butter pie of course but I was so surprised to find out how much I enjoyed the lemon meringue and blueberry crumble. Everything was ridiculously delicious and it was great quality, creamy, real ice cream. We will 110% be back here to try more flavors!! read more

AS SEEN ON SOCIAL MEDIA! I got a flight which comes in an egg carton! I got: blueberry, cookie dough, butter pecan, s'mores, mocha chip, salted caramel. Overall the flavors were amazing and unique allowing them to all shine! I can't wait to try the other 50 flavors! Oh it is weird that the clients stand "above" the staff (the floor has a height difference) but the staff are kind and quick read more

This place is definitely worth a try. Theres so many flavors there's something for everyone. I really liked the sampler flight which was served in a pink egg carton. It included 6 different scoops (my favorites were the pumpkin Oreo and graham central station were my favorites). The shop is fairly small but the staff are efficient and friendly. Be prepared to wait. There's a small lot out front and an additional overflow lot in the back but both were packed by the time we were leaving. There's seating outside in the grass area but even that can be a bit crowded. read more

I got the chocolate peanut butter cup frozen yogurt today. It was tasty but had big pieces of ice in it. I have never had an ice cream or frozen yogurt with so many, and such large, ice crystals. read more

Omg sooo good!! This big homemade old fashioned ice cream place has so many flavors it's hard to choose just one, fortunately you don't have to! My family split the "ice cream flight" which was six different small scoops of ice cream which we loved! Great to try lots of flavors, and plenty to share because the portions here are BIG! You can also enjoy your ice cream on site at one of their many outdoor picnic tables, and there's lots of parking so it makes it easy to hang out for a bit. My son loved the outdoor area because they also have a lawn and a little ice cream shop play house that he enjoyed playing in with other kids there! read more

Have you ever wanted to order 1 of everything and just know you can't stomach it? Scoop Deck is a dream come true for you. I was so excited to see the sampler crate. They offer mini scoops in the crate so you can have 6 flavors that are calling your name. The ice cream itself was delicious and fun. There are so many flavors that you're bound to find something. It's also really hard to find straight up M&M ice cream these days so my husband was happy. It's located in a great area with endless possibilities of activities nearby too. read more

Great selection of I e cream flavors...I believe there are 40+ flavors. Their portions are large. I always order a junior two scoop as it is any other places large. The staff are very efficient and polite. There are some picnic tables and benches outside to sit at but we usually sit in our car as it gets crowded, especially in the evening. read more

The Scoop Deck is not just an ice cream shop, it's an entire experience. The employees, the people you meet waiting in line, watching the staff scoop. It's an entire vibe. I've been visiting since I was a young girl, and now I bring my children whenever we visit Wells. One of my favorite things...the menu is posted in several different places with descriptions of each flavor, so you can take your time to decided before you get in line. There's no rushed decisions. They also offer ice cream flights so you can try multiple flavors if you can't pick just one!! read more

Soooo many flavors! Great ice cream and fast service. Don't me intimidated by the line, it moves quickly. Plenty of parking and tables nearby. 6 variety scoops for $10. Credit cards accepted. read more

This is a must visit for anyone looking for delicious ice cream in the area. There are so many options to choose. The staff is friendly and have a great system to get to the long line of customers. An absolute new favorite when it comes to ice cream spots. Firstly I will say my wife and I visited after the busy tourist season so I expect most other times you'll encounter large crowds and lines but it seems as though people mention they do move quickly. Due to the time of our visit we had no line and at most two or three other parties enjoying some ice cream. They have plenty of parking available and also lots of outdoor tables to enjoy your ice cream at. Also besides the business itself I have to mention in the morning they have a coffee trailer named Lark Coffee and also a little library on property too. The ice cream shop itself has rustic barn vibes. We were drawn to visiting because we saw them posting about some of their fall flavors and because of that we knew we needed to visit. Which when you get here the first thing you will likely notice is the huge flavor board! If you have difficulty with choices you may want to check their website first to at least narrow it down. Thankfully if you do narrow it down to about 6 flavors, you are in luck and do what we did is grab their sampler/ice cream flight. It comes with six baby scoops that will arrive in a pink little carton. My wife and I did just that. We ended up picking the following flavors; Blueberry Crumble, Pumpkin Oreo, Seriously S'mores, Strawberry Cheesecake, Peach, and Cannoli. We enjoyed every single flavor and thought they knocked them all out of the park, very impressive doing so many flavors well! Despite this we did have a few favorites, those being the Blueberry Crumble and Pumpkin Oreo. Wish both those flavors were available anytime I was craving ice cream! One of the best ice cream shops I have visited. Huge variety of flavors and the six we tried were all so delicious! A must visit and I can't wait to visit possibly one more time this year and if not next season when they reopen. I understand why it is such a popular spot. read more

Great ice cream, great menu, great service! I loved visiting Scoop Deck on a drive towards Portland, and I especially loved the option of an ice cream flight - this is BRILLIANT! Sampling six small scoops in order to try more flavors is one of the best ideas I've ever heard, especially as someone who always struggles to choose one single flavor. My husband and I each picked three flavors and we loved all six of them! The amaretto cherry and dirty water flavors were standouts, but you cannot go wrong! We also loved getting a print from the vending machine inside the scoop shop. There are tables outside and a small playground, as well as some benches. A great spot for ice cream! read more

This was my first visit to Scoop Deck. Living in New England there are some amazing ice cream places to go to. This was just great! Great creamy flavor and the fastest service! Be ready to order when you walk in and you're out in no time. They have the art of speedy service down to a science. The only downside I experienced was way to little hit fudge on the HF sundae I bought. At the prices they are not loosing out by geo more generous. You will get swarmed by the mosquitoes so be prepared read more

Scoop Deck is a family favorite and a must-do (multiple times) during our summer trips out to Wells, Maine. The ice cream is great quality and there are so many flavors to pick from. My favorites are Cake Batter, Peanut Butter 180, and Graham Central Station. The staff work their butts off and are friendly. We've changed our strategy over the years and come during the day now instead of evening, as the lines are much shorter and you'll almost always be guaranteed a handmade waffle cone. The portions are generous, too. I usually get a kiddie in a waffle cone and it is plenty. We also love their merch--they have such cute designs! read more

Scoop Deck is a great place to bring with a larger crowd! Although as a local I do have to say as the years have gone by the prices have gone way up and portions smaller :(( I can't give this a lower rating because it it so beyond aesthetically pleasing when you pull in. It is just so adorable. The ice cream I believe is not homemade which also is a little upsetting and tastes a bit like store bought ice cream just more flavors. Often times my waffle cone is also always stale when I go... Still such a cute place and a great place to bring large crowds like I said! read more

Be prepared to wait with a long line of people and have your order ready because when it's your turn to order they need to keep moving! Classic hard packed ice cream in significantly large portions. The perfect New England dinner on a hot summer evening! read more

I have heard from everyone that Scoop Deck is THE place to be in southern Maine. After many trips, we were finally able to make it! Unfortunately, we did not realize that we visited on their last day open for the season. Due to the date, they had almost no remaining flavors available, and their staff seemed to be ready to close down for the season. This being said, the ice cream was great and we had a lovely time hanging out at the picnic tables in the back. I am looking forward to coming back to check it out again when it is in full swing to get the 'real' experience! read more
