It was quite packed with people both at the bar and dining areas. We ordered appetizer of fried pickles, which was a huge portion for $10. (I didn't expect some sort of seasoned salt on top of them yuck) , Ordered the fried clam strip platter which consisted of a plentiful portion of very tender clam strips, fries (which also had the seasoned salt in them) and coleslaw. The coleslaw was something less desired and will choose another option in the future. The last meal was steak tip dinner. Only 3 small tenderloins of steak served with coleslaw and baked potato (of choice). A little over priced for the quantity of beef. Overall the staff was very friendly. The environment was loud, and it didn't help they sat us among a bunch of infants. NOTE: the bill was $70.24 BEFORE TIP. The tip suggestion on the bill is NOT accurate. See picture of receipt

They also have locations in South Berwick and Exeter, NH. They serve up burgers, hot dogs, homemade onion rings, crinkle cut fries, chili cheese fries, shakes, and cold drinks (Coke products) from the cooler. Burgers, hot dogs, and fries can be made dirty style for $1.25 more which is house sauce and sauteed onions. The prices here seem fair. The place is order at the counter and there is table seating with blue metal chairs and booth back seats and high top tables with stools, spread out more than their other locations, Exeter seating area is cramped. I made two visits to Lee Frank's over the past two weeks. On the visit last week, I ordered a loaded (not dirty) Cheeseburger ($6.25 plus tax), Red Baron Hot Dog ($4.75 plus tax), Chili Cheese Fries ($5.50 plus tax), and a Special Tropical Punch Shake ($5.50 plus tax). My food was ready in about 10 minutes after ordering and brought out by staff on a tray. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Dirty Style Cheeseburger ($7.50 plus tax) and Dirty Style Fries ($4.75 plus tax), this time through the Toast app. My order was all set in about 7 minutes. I enjoyed my food in shop both times. The Red Baron Dog was loaded with red cabbage & brown mustard over grilled hot dog which had a snap to the bite in a soft hot dog bun. The Cheeseburger was grilled well done beef patty with melted American cheese with plenty of mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles on a soft bun. The chili cheese fries had golden crinkle cut fries topped with cheese sauce and meat chili. The tropical punch shake was thick and sweet, which was a vanilla shake mixed with Hawaiian Punch Polar Blast, topped with green jimmies. The dirty style loaded cheeseburger and dirty style fries were both very messy and the addition of the house sauce and the sweet sauteed onions is a real game changer. Overall, the greasy goodness of Lee Frank's was very tasty and messy each time and worth the drive!

I…read morecalled and made a reservation a couple of weeks ahead of our visit (we were there on a Monday night, and in the restaurant area it was pretty quiet - just us and one other table). First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

We started with scallops wrapped in bacon and their bread service. The butter was sweetened and the bread was great. The scallops with bacon were excellent. My husband enjoyed a few vodka with cranberry and he wasn't disappointed. He chose the crab stuffed shrimp and sincerely loved it. The rice and green beans were great but he was full from the shrimp. I chose the filet with a lobster tail, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was simply superb. Dress was casual and the place was clean. Not thinking they are accessible though as there were steps going in the two doors we used.

You get the nostalgia of the place as soon as you walk in. After I ordered, I had buyers remorse as I had not gotten some of the more famous things this place had. I am now still upset as I type this. The Lobster Pie and some of the namesake lobster sandwiches would have probably been much better than what I had. I was a bit burnt out on seafood and it was breakfastish time. I screwed up and ordered something that I knew I didn't like but thought I might be wrong. Nope. I was right, that I was wrong.... I got the country breakfast, with CITY HAM! What a moron!! I hate city ham and have no idea why I ordered it. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! Mad at myself for being a dumbass. It came with beans on toast and I ordered some kind of local sausages too. C had corned beef hash and eggs, and stole my beans and toast. I had some sausage gravy too to slap on them biscuits. Server was nice. It's hard to remember exactly because I lost my internal cool.... I did good keeping it contained, I don't think C even picked up on it as I am mastering my ability to have internal meltdowns with no external visibility. C did learn something here.... She likes baked beans on toast.... We are now looking for ways to get this elsewhere. We live in Memphis, so it's not that common. So we now ask for toast at BBQ places. Tehehe Sausage gravy was pretty good. Biscuits were fair. Hot Italian Sausages were very good, I liked them much better than city fucking ham. Beans are really nice with a good flavor and a nice kick. The side of potatoes were tasty. City ham sucks and should be banished from the planet earth immediately! I may make it back, if I do, I will get the Lobster Pie probably! Message me if you have and let me know your thoughts. We love you Maine!!! '26 - 20
