We love Scoop Deck whenever we are in town! We have been coming here for yrs!!! We all agreed on FAV ice cream place!! ***Oh, the flavor choices- so hard to pick. Outdoor Picnic tables Parking lot Ramp entrance Handicap spot in front Food- hot dogs We always love to stop visit and we love the cool unique tons of options/ flavors!!!!
Have you ever wanted to order 1 of everything and just know you can't stomach it? Scoop Deck is a dream come true for you. I was so excited to see the sampler crate. They offer mini scoops in the crate so you can have 6 flavors that are calling your name. The ice cream itself was delicious and fun. There are so many flavors that you're bound to find something. It's also really hard to find straight up M&M ice cream these days so my husband was happy. It's located in a great area with endless possibilities of activities nearby too.
An absolute new favorite when it comes to ice cream spots. Firstly I will say my wife and I visited after the busy tourist season so I expect most other times you'll encounter large crowds and lines but it seems as though people mention they do move quickly. Due to the time of our visit we had no line and at most two or three other parties enjoying some ice cream. They have plenty of parking available and also lots of outdoor tables to enjoy your ice cream at. Also besides the business itself I have to mention in the morning they have a coffee trailer named Lark Coffee and also a little library on property too. The ice cream shop itself has rustic barn vibes. We were drawn to visiting because we saw them posting about some of their fall flavors and because of that we knew we needed to visit. Which when you get here the first thing you will likely notice is the huge flavor board! If you have difficulty with choices you may want to check their website first to at least narrow it down. Thankfully if you do narrow it down to about 6 flavors, you are in luck and do what we did is grab their sampler/ice cream flight. It comes with six baby scoops that will arrive in a pink little carton. My wife and I did just that. We ended up picking the following flavors; Blueberry Crumble, Pumpkin Oreo, Seriously S'mores, Strawberry Cheesecake, Peach, and Cannoli. We enjoyed every single flavor and thought they knocked them all out of the park, very impressive doing so many flavors well! Despite this we did have a few favorites, those being the Blueberry Crumble and Pumpkin Oreo. Wish both those flavors were available anytime I was craving ice cream! One of the best ice cream shops I have visited. Huge variety of flavors and the six we tried were all so delicious! A must visit and I can't wait to visit possibly one more time this year and if not next season when they reopen. I understand why it is such a popular spot.
Great ice cream, great menu, great service! I loved visiting Scoop Deck on a drive towards Portland, and I especially loved the option of an ice cream flight - this is BRILLIANT! Sampling six small scoops in order to try more flavors is one of the best ideas I've ever heard, especially as someone who always struggles to choose one single flavor. My husband and I each picked three flavors and we loved all six of them! The amaretto cherry and dirty water flavors were standouts, but you cannot go wrong! We also loved getting a print from the vending machine inside the scoop shop. There are tables outside and a small playground, as well as some benches. A great spot for ice cream!
Scoop Deck is a family favorite and a must-do (multiple times) during our summer trips out to Wells, Maine. The ice cream is great quality and there are so many flavors to pick from. My favorites are Cake Batter, Peanut Butter 180, and Graham Central Station. The staff work their butts off and are friendly. We've changed our strategy over the years and come during the day now instead of evening, as the lines are much shorter and you'll almost always be guaranteed a handmade waffle cone. The portions are generous, too. I usually get a kiddie in a waffle cone and it is plenty. We also love their merch--they have such cute designs!

We came here a few years ago when we were vacationing in Wells and it was just as good as it was today. There was a small line, but it moved quickly. The staff was friendly and courteous. We all got a double kiddie which were huge. Each flavor was unique and delicious. My 10 year old is a huge ice cream critic and gave it 5 stars.. Amazing icecream - huge portions of creamy goodness all for cheap, cheap, cheap. My friends ordered a small size, and it was the same as a large at most places. The only problem is trying to decide what flavor you want. Bonus tip: Order a waffle cone - honestly one of the crispiest and sturdiest waffle cones I've ever had the pleasure of eating from. Usually, my icecream ends up dripping out of the bottom, but they made it so perfectly that I could take my sweet time. GET YOU SOME ASAP. read more

Absolutely delicious! I'm glad we made the choice to run to scoop deck to try a new ice cream place! The teenagers working were pleasant and kind and knowledgeable about all of the flavors! We went with mint explosion with a waffle cone (in a dish) and peanut butter fudge with peanut butter topping. The mint was delicious, tons of flavor and the cone was to die for! Homemade, crunchy and crispy! As you can see with our pup in the background, the ice cream was a hit! read more

After a beautiful bike ride by Wells beach, we stopped in for a little treat Scoop deck. It dis not disappoint! Their ice cream was amazing and their home- made lemonade was so refreshing. We tried their oreo ice cream and dinosaur crunch. read more

A tremendous amount of flavors to choose from. I loved that you could get a flight of mini scoops! My husband got a double scoop of a coffee flavor, and I tried the flight with several delicious flavors including pumpkin, s'mores, banana and more. It made for a perfect treat to end our evening on a hot summer day! The lines definitely get long but the service is quick and they move through the customers fast. read more

We had been waiting for our ice cream fix all week, and we finally got it on the last night of our Maine trip. I'm glad we chose Scoop Deck. If you're in the area, it's a must go. Yes, the line is extremely extremely long and you have to wait for the good stuff, but it's well worth it and the line warrants the end result. The flavor board is INSANE! There are so many options to try, but if you go to the website you can read the descriptions of each flavor while you wait so you know what you're getting yourself into. The servers at the window are extremely kind and will help you make your decision. My server even advised me that it would be cheaper to get a pint of ice cream than a triple scoop. A size small has two scoops and is very big, fair warning. But it's almost as if they knew you'd want more - and you do. I sampled the PB fudge, which I picked up for future husband, but my select was the Dirty Water. Omg. If you love coffee ice cream, get this!! My one suggestion would be for them to at least write on one of the menu boards somewhere that they have soft serve. This isn't mentioned anywhere but we did see someone get a soft serve, and Sasha might've gone that route if she had known. I also appreciate the no sugar added and dairy free options! Nick took advantage of the latter. read more

Was staying in Kennebunkport and wanted real ice cream so we took to the internet and came across the Scoop Deck. I can honestly say it was worth the 15 minute drive. Despite the amazing selection, we settled on 2 small cones: one peach and one coffee. Both were tasty, creamy, and hit the spot. Super friendly staff and easy process to get through the line. Nice space out back to sit and enjoy your ice cream. We will absolutely add this to our list of must visits the next time we're in the area. read more

We discovered Scoop Deck after eating at another local restaurant and received a recommendation from our server. This place is amazing! First off, there's plenty of parking if you go around the back of the building. do not be scared away if you see a long line, the line goes very quick! Once you park and start walking towards the building you will see a large board with all the ice cream flavors posted. There are approximately 75 flavors EVERY night! If you look closely at the flavor board, which has a roof over it (because it's that special), you will see that the descriptions of the flavors are on the side panels of the board. Some of the flavors have names that you would never know what is in the ice cream, so it's good to read the descriptions before you get in line to order. They also offer sugar free, gluten-free, dairy free, and other dietary options. They offer a variety of sizes and cone types as well. I had both a single kids scoop and a double kids scoop and was satisfied both nights. A scoop is pretty large, especially if you get it in a waffle cone! Flavors I tried while visiting included the peanut butter 180, the peanut butter Iditarod, and the almond joy. The peanut butter flavors had huge ribbons of a creamy peanut butter through out that were amazing! No matter which ice cream myself or my group got, every flavor was LOADED with toppings and tasted so creamy and good! For example the cherry blossom that my friend had, he said he got about two cherries in every bite. My other friend was hooked on the s'mores! This place looks like it is run by local teenagers, who have fun music pumping in the background as they scoop and take orders. The lines can get long here, but man do they have it down to a perfect system! While one is taking an order, another is scooping away as fast as they can and they are getting you through the line fairly quick. Every night we stopped in and no matter which person was serving us, they were very pleasant, helpful, and friendly. The inside also has the listings of flavors and descriptions, but to get through the line you should have your flavor picked out before you get inside....Don't be THAT guy holding up the line! ;) Go here! Love, Love, Love .... did I say Love, this place! My brother and his family have been coming to Wells for years and although I've been invited with my kids many times, it just didn't work out.....until this year. We arrived in Maine on a Saturday and proceeded to have ice cream every evening for the next 7 days. What can I say about the atmosphere, the staff, the homemade waffle cones (which sell out so either get there early or buy some on your first visit and keep them in the car) and the size....omg, the size of the cones. My favorite was the moose tracks which was loaded with mini peanut butter cups and fudge swirl. I also tried the Graham Central Station, the triple chocolate fantasy and the Butter Pecan. My kids favs were the Cookie Monster and Graham Central. I know when you pull up you think the line is crazy but trust me, these peuopld have it down to a science! There are two entrances and once inside there are lots of stations to place your order. If you are in Wells, this is a must! read more

Best ice cream on the Seacoast. The ice cream and waffle cones are homemade and the servings are generous. They have SO many flavors, each better and more creative than the last. Take a look at the lengthy ice cream flavor list and descriptions before you go so you don't waste anytime getting your scoop! read more
I love banana ice cream and search all over to find the best. The monkey business has fudge swirl and mini peanut butter cups! It was very good quality! The lines can get extremely long but it's honestly worth the wait! I had a small which was two scoops! Even though they say it's only one! The portions are huuuge! After 10 years of vacationing in the Ogunquit/Wells area I have no idea how we never stumbled upon the Scoop Deck! It is located just off the route 1 and it's a hot spot not to be missed. We arrived at 9:30pm and the lines were quite long but they do move rather quick. They offer more flavors of ice cream than we have ever seen, they definitely have something for everyone. Only disappointments were that they ran out of homemade waffle cones & seeing that their ice cream is so sweet the bugs did quite a number biting our ankles in line so be sure to lather on your bug spray prior to standing in line. Summer didn't really happen unless you get to enjoy some ice cream from the scoop deck. This ice cream is some of the best. We have been coming here for years and always leave with happy bellies. They have so many amazing flavors to choose from you really cannot go wrong. This time we ordered two 3 scoop samplers. This was our first time getting samplers and gosh they were the best. This icecream was the real deal! I have some friends who I visited that live nearby and they told me I had to try scoop deck and they were right! There may be a big line outside but fear not! It keeps on moving and you will be in in no time. A huge flavor menu so there is something for everyone and the waffle cones are made in house. They had me at the funny name. This place is a little off the beaten path, but apparently everyone found it because there was a huge line and I hear there usually is. They have a list of flavors posted outside, but the list with descriptions are posted only inside, right where you are about to order and pay and don't have a lot of time to peruse the list without being a jerk and holding up the line. Some of the names are not obvious. Fool's Gold? Dirty Water? Dinosaur Crunch? Everything is listed online with descriptions if you know you are coming here before you come here. The interior is just a place to order, not any seating area inside. They will give samples, and I had to try the Blueberry Pancake, which was good but very different then I'm used to, so I couldn't risk a whole bowl of it, and went safe with the Caramel Caribou. They are big bowls even for the small size. I ate mine so fast I didn't even think about taking a picture first. Cash only, the lines are long but they move quickly, and on a warm day, you can take a nice stroll while enjoying the ice cream. SO many flavors and I would love to try more. There are a lot of ice cream places open in the summer, but this one is definitely one to visit. read more
Best ice cream in Maine. We eat more ice cream than we should, and are picky about it. This is one of the best ice creams we've had anywhere. Went twice during our trip. The first time everyone got the waffle cones and solid portions of ice cream. The long lines go faster than you would think, and they give you a chance to choose between all the flavors. Tons of flavor options, the three of us enjoyed them all, including Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip. Had a Maine Blueberry popsicle that was good too. Go early in the evening, as the second time we went, half the ice cream flavors were sold out, and unfortunately the waffle cones were sold out too. read more

Didn't think we would get here in 2020 due to Covid but we did. Nice stop before dropping our senior off at UNH. Wasn't to busy but only had one line going in. Some people still think because they have the mask on they don't need to social distance in line. But they try and do it right inside. read more

We looooved this ice cream place! It has tons (and I mean TONS) of delicious flavors, and the portions are huge! We got a 4 scoop sampler and shared it with our toddler son... Boy was he happy! We especially liked the Caramel Iditarod flavor! Ok... So why 4 out of 5 stars? Here's some constructive criticism! We went at night. We got eaten alive. With all of tables and benches available, we assumed the mosquito situation might not be too bad. We were wrong. It got SO bad that I had to run to the car to get bug spray, and even with that we were still getting attacked. I know that is nature up in Maine.. but I think it would be a great idea to set up a screened in area, Tiki torches, mosquito traps, or something. We ended up asking for a to go lid and brought it back to our hotel. Unfortunately most of the ice cream was melted by then which was a bummer. Another suggestion is to provide descriptions of the funky flavors somewhere outside. We were on a rather long line out the door and we didn't see the descriptions until we got inside and were ready to order. It was kind of hard to infer what flavors like "Dirty Water" were made of. Overall though, we will be back. Probably in the daytime, or perhaps getting it to go from the get go. read more

Great stop for ice cream! Parking lot was packed and there were long lines on this summer day. Lots of space and tables to take your time and enjoy. They've got plenty of options to choose from with topping and cone choices. I chose a small Blueberry Crumble and the portion was huge! It was delicious as well but I wouldn't be able to immediately tell it was Blueberry, I was getting a hint of Black Raspberry but still very satisfying, not overly sweet at all. It's got a hard solid texture, which is great so the ice cream won't melt as fast on a hot day. Remember to bring cash. Scoop Deck has perfected the ice cream experience I would say, they deserve my 5 Stars. read more
