Last year finding and visiting Lucas Roasting Company was by complete chance. Mark and I had hiked up Mount Roberts and afterward all I was craving was an iced cold iced coffee. Unfortunately there are not alot of coffee places around Mount Roberts, especially none that were open at 3pm on a Thursday. So YELP to the rescue and what a sweet one it was! Lucas Roasting Company is a small bisiness tucked away in Wolfboro. Pretty standard coffee drinks but #IYKYK - some of the best coffee comes from small roasting companies. I ended up with a delicous iced coffee and took some canned nitro back with me to CT. This year - again we hiked up (and down) Mount Roberts but this year it was H O T - so it was a no brainer where to head to for some caffine and cooling off. This year I met who I think was one of the owners who gave me the origin story (they are originally from VA) and told me that they have been open for a bit over 3 years. There was no cold brew in the cooler but this time it was a Nitro Cold Brew that was ordered and consumed before we made it back to our lodgings. I wish they were closer but it's good to know that they are "just down the road" from my yearly hiking venue. read more

Nice people but the coffee is overpriced. 18 dollars for 12 ounces is too much. I am an avid coffee drinker and this brew comes in third out of five choices. Sorry I suggest sticking with Chock Full. read more

Wow what a friendly place. Off the beaten path but worth it. We stopped bc I needed a caffeine fix. My chai tea latte with oat milk was yummy. My husband LOVED his basic black coffee. I have gone up to the Wolfeboro location twice now, however found the coffee for sale at Chichester General Store first and then at Diamond B Farms. I first tried the Winnipesaukee Blend and it was really delicious. I would say it's comparable to other companies options of a Breakfast blend, however more tasty! I think this company has a really great grasp on quality and their coffee is a step above the others for sure. I tried it and really liked it when I first tried it, then I went to buy meat at Diamond B and saw they sold the coffee in their meat shop so grabbed two more flavored options - Raspberry Mocha and Mocha Mint. Both were super delicious. The mocha mint made a really great coffee and kahlua drink. Highly recommend that one!! Their espresso which is one of my favorites, makes a KILLER espresso martini!! I am probably most fond of the Italian Roast, as I think it is just perfect for everyday drinking - not too heavy, but not a light offering of flavor. It's my go to. Jamaican Me Crazy is AMAZING for an iced coffee - it's nice and fresh, light and sweet, I love it black and iced, it's not overly sweet but doesn't need sugar (this coming from someone who loves black coffee). Service is great, Troy is super passionate and great conversationalist. Overall a very informative roasting house that makes a delicious fresh beverage to take in hand, while you can stock up for goodies to brew at home. If you didn't know where it was, you'd miss it- that's my only complaint haha. If that's even a complaint. I think they deserve better foot traffic as I think everyone should be blessed with a cup of this holy grail. If they were on a main road, they would be SWAMPED with business even more than they are now- but due to their high quality product, the doors are always opening with smiling faces taking in the aroma welcoming them. So I guess I can't complain, cause if they were on the main road, I'm sure their stocks would be depleted much more often - even though like I said before, they are always busy when I have been there!! GREAT SPOT, take a trip there and check them out... it is the best cup of love you will have on the lake and as WMUR voters have all said (including me), best in NH. read more

I have lived in this town for 39 years I never know that someone put a restaurant in on King Street. I don't know what year one month or one day. I go by King Street at least once a day I've seen no sign no advertising if there is it's very very small. Now that I know you're there I will come up and try your five star restaurant. These owners and their business have an amazing story, having transplanted the shop from Virginia to Wolfeboro in 2016. What a great experience! The quality of coffee was some of the best I have ever had. My wife and I went here because where we normally go was closed. Boy, were we in luck that they were closed because we have a new favorite. We ordered iced coconut lattes, bought a bag of coffee and a growler of nitro cold brew. The espresso was perfectly smooth and delicious the cold brew was AMAZING! The owner was super friendly and informative and knows how to make a good drink. Highly recommend! read more

Although I live in Arizona, I have been buying my coffee from Lucas Roasting Company since 2012. It is the only coffee I use and their mail order service is excellent. The coffee is roasted in small batches and is simply the best coffee I have tasted. I recommend this coffee roaster highly! read more
