This is a very cute coffee shop in Laconia flanked by build ins, tin ceiling tile, and local art. Charming ambiance, but thought it was ridiculous to wait 25 mins for an iced coffee. Just plain iced coffee with cream. I understand other espresso or speciality drinks can take some time, but think they could improve their ops by streamlining fast and easy drinks into their own queue, instead of bottlenecking everything into one, especially given they had 3-4 ppl working behind the counter. The coffee itself was alright, but nothing special. Would not come here if you are in a rush.

This place is so awesome. They also have a location right up the road in Lakeport that's equally cool. Every time I'm in Laconia I make a point to stop in. I habitually get their whole bean coffee. I'm a coffee snob and to me their's is some of the best in the state. Today I got a breakfast sandie with jalapeños and hot sauce which hit the spot. They also have small waffles with different toppings which is unique, and other items like energy bites and such. I'm pretty sure the Lakeport spot does sandwiches and I've gotten a great scone from there as well. I love the vibe in both places. You gotta check em out!

Lovely local coffee shop with a full market and fresh beans roasted in house! Great space with lots of character located in downtown Laconia.

I will preface this review by saying this comes from somewhat of a coffee snob...(If I was your typical, not-so-picky coffee drinker OR if this was not a coffee roaster, this would have received a better review for sure.) I will start off with the good... I had a cinnamon sugar waffle and it was delicious. It is no wonder people rave about them. Also, the quality of the coffee is very good. Wayfarer has a good name in the coffee industry for a good reason. They do a great job roasting. There is also a great atmosphere at this shop. Good seating and well cared for eating area. Now the reason for the 3 stars... As good as the quality of the beans are, the baristas do not quite meet the same level of excellence. I understand that there can sometimes be newer baristas behind the counter, and one visit may not be indicative of an overall subpar bar service, but this was my 3rd time coming here, and the experience has been the same each time. First, when I approached the cashier, I had asked (all three times) what their offerings were for a pour over, and the answer each time was "light or medium/dark roast." There seemed to be little knowledge about what was being offered. I asked what origin of the beans were and only once out of the three times was I given a definitive answer. Most specialty coffee shops will know the offerings and what to expect (taste-wise) with each option. Second, I ordered a cortado, and the milk was over steamed and did not have that silky texture that cortado's are known for. (See pic) I know I will sound picky to many, but this is to genuinely help management ensure that the service is up to par with the level of excellence that Wayfarer is known for in their roasting. The girls behind the counter were kind and accommodating, but seemed under-trained. I would never hold a Starbucks or small town cafe to these standards, but since Wayfarer is a specialty coffee company, my review stands at 3 stars.

Such and great place to stop for a very nice Coffee. I will certainly stop by again when I am in the area. It looks like the Locals agree by the number of people who were enjoying the same.

Laid out as a "cool" place for modern young hipsters of downtown Laconia NH, whose enterprising acumen incorporates clothing, mugs, and a stand-alone fridge with off-brand drinks for sale. You line up at the counter to order, like in other coffee chains. My wife ordered a nuts and berries oatmeal and I ordered two scrambled eggs with cheese, served inside of a smallish brioche roll (yes, an egg and cheese sandwich). The music sounded like a high school battle of the garage bands. We found a small table and after a 5-10 minute wait, the counter attendant brought our breakfast orders, the coffees first. It has high ceilings, is kept clean (including bathroom), and maintains millennial charm. On leaving, we were glad we didn't stuff ourselves with what felt like the breakfast version of nouveau cuisine. Although their selection was modest, it was sufficient for us that early morning.

This place is an absolute gem in downtown Laconia, definitely did not expect to find a coffee shop here that looks like is should be located in Nyc or Seattle. The moment you enter your hit with the intoxicating smell of fresh roasted beans and their home made waffles. It's quaint and comfortable inside and a perfect place to sit and unwind while sipping some truly amazing coffee. I kind of wish I was in college so I could have an excuse to come here and study. My go to was the chemex pour and was perfect every tine. You can definitely tell they hold quality to a high standard here. To make this place even better the collaborated with one of my all time favorite distilleries to make a bourbon barrel aged coffee...... amazing

The sandwich was tasty with thick, flavorful bacon. But the star of the show was definitely the maple bacon waffle -hot and kind of crispy on the outside, chewy deliciousness on the inside, with an amazing maple cream & crumbled bacon. Clearly worthy to be one of my HALL OF FAME eats. Two thumbs waaaay up!

Visiting Laconia for a wedding and was pretty disappointed to find there aren't any Starbucks out here. I got online to find another coffee shop and this place stood out. BEST DECISION I'VE MADE ALL DAY!! It is adorable inside, the staff is incredibly friendly, and they have gluten free waffles. The coffee is better than starbs and felt like it was made with love. If you're ever in the area definitely check it out!

They have a couple dozen flavors of ice cream and a make your own sundae bar. The scoops of ice cream are generously sized and there's a decent variety of toppings on the sundae bar. I especially like the peanut butter sauce. I think the ice cream and the sundae bar are reasonably priced. In recent years it has changed ownership and while we still visit, some changes have been made for the worse - mainly the new line and ordering setup. Now you are shuffled along a winding path where you can only see the flavor menu right as you're going to order; it makes deciding much more difficult and rushed. They then take your order and scoop everything downstairs, instead of in front of you in the ice cream case, which used to be more enjoyable. They leave the line standing there for a while until they bring orders upstairs and hand them to you. I understand if maybe this was necessary, I am just saying it feels a lot less quaint and personal, and more like you're being herded like cattle through a line where the ice cream is put together somewhere else. The old setup was much nicer and everyone I have talked to agrees. Their ice cream is still tasty, we love the sundae bar, and the homemade candy and chocolates are delectable. Kellerhaus has so much charm, and I would love to see the old ice cream setup brought back!

The first thing we noticed when we walked in the door was that Christmas smacked us in the face with the best smelling Christmas Tree candle , burning in a super cute entryway. I could hardly wait to get inside to see what else this place had in store. First, there was a fireplace and a couch and a table. In the rest of the dining area, we're all high tops. Not so high that a barely over 5 foot person such as myself couldn't sit comfortably. Our waitstaff (there were two) and were great about offering menu suggestions when I shared flavor profiles I might be looking for and they were attentive and so pleasant. They had super cute Christmas decorations, and were putting up more while we were there. The vibe is super warm and welcoming, and for a short while you feel like you stepped back in time. The tiramisu martini was delicious, as was the blood orange martini. I had the cauliflower with juju sauce at the recommendation of the waitress, and it was honestly the best cauliflower I've ever had! My husband enjoyed his macaroni and cheese with buffalo and bleu as well. The owner/chef, Leslie, came and chatted with us for a little bit before we were on our way. We learned that in the summer they hold concerts, and they have a golf course. There is a distillery on site as well. Everything about this place was excellent, and we are already planning a day date to go back and try more menu items!

Now, this price point might seem more appropriate for Downtown Portsmouth or Boston, but it exists for a reason. Not only do you get a large portion of fried chicken, waffles, and syrup, its adorned with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Effectively, you're getting chicken & waffle eggs benedict.
