Located just minutes from the downtown area, they have everything from breakfast sandwhiches to your classic coffees and teas. I was staying at a hotel that recommended this coffee house so I had to check it out. Wow! Was I impressed! First, it's in a house which makes it cozy and pretty. You walk in to lots of choices for coffee and deserts. They have tables and chairs to enjoy your coffee as well. They also have a cute gift shop with clothes like t shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, water bottles, stuffed animals of adorable moose to choose from. I needed help finding my size shirt, and the lady was very nice and helpful! The coffee I ordered was very good too. I was so happy I stopped in to visit and I will be making this my regular go to cafe. You will love it here too! read more

I had an unusual special burger, affagato (only see so many of those available as simple as that is to offer), and a beet latte. It is cool that ruralish New Hampshire would be able to have such offerings and still do business well. Naturally, they offer more typical offerings like regular coffee to not weird people out or satisfy that one or so crazy foodie who might be lurking around. We came here for their nice coffee and read that they have friendly staff. We are traveling across the country in our Sprinter van, came here at 9am, purchased 4 drinks, a bakery and a gift $35+ tips. They have unfriendly and rude customers. Screaming kids- I reacted because it pierced my ears, staff gave me a stare. Then a local customer commented about our 21' sprinter taking ALL the parking space, as his trucker is 17' long! We saw the coffee shop driving in the other day. Thought we would grab a coffee and head out. Nope...we stayed for 90 minutes easily. It was just a nice place to sit and enjoy the view, the company and the food and coffee. You really have to know where it is, though I imagine, as the only major road into the town, they get a lot of stop off visitors. The staff is great, friendly and the coffee and sandwiches were a hit. Glad we stopped by and ventured in because it was just what we needed to start our morning. read more

I am SO HAPPY I stopped in this place! Mello Moose has very good Cold Brew & Nitro, a great selection of drinks, and they have baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. The inside is decorated and laid out super cute! Free newpapers from Laconia Daily Sun right when you enter. They have a trash area and they actually RECYCLE, which is honestly amazing. The owners are extremely friendly and polite. Oh...and in their baked goodies case, THERE ARE VEGAN OPTIONS! Vegan muffins and brownies, oh my god I was so happy to see that. I think my only *very small critiques* or suggestions to the owners, is they close at 2pm most days. Closing even just at 3pm or 4pm would be much more convenient for people I think. And also, the door coming in/leaving has a twist knob-handle, and when leaving with my hands full one time (taking my drinks to work with me) I had an interesting experience trying to leave, and wished it was a push door some how. I definitely recommend to locals and tourists to stop in this place and try their coffee! They have such a great coffee shop set-up and lots of options compared to some of the other coffee places in the area. I'm really glad I tried this place out. We spent a week in the area, and passed by Mello Moose daily. On my last day in town, I set my alarm before the sun so I could try some Mello Moose coffee. I never get up before the sun... I'm so glad I did! The coffee was wonderful! My family throughly enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches, pop tarts, and cinnamon rolls. Even Gus the schnauzer enjoyed his moose dog biscuit. Oh this little place has my heart!!! We found the Mello Moose on yelp (duh) and knew it was the place we were trying. As soon as we walked in we were drooling. The have a small bakery case in the front filled with beautiful pastries and treats as well as daily specials on a chalk board. We ordered cappuccinos and some food to share after being unable to choose between all their yummy goodies. A very sweet woman made our coffees and it turned out her and her husband were the owners. We made sure to tell them how good their reviews on yelp were and that yelp led us to them! Everything was delicious and the shop is so bright and welcoming. This place was great and I wish we had visited sooner during our trip! There were cute little bistro tables where you could sit and enjoy some coffee and light breakfast items such as breakfast sandwiches, parfait, fruit, overnight oatmeal or baked goods. They have a ton of coffee options including nitro and cold brew on tap. Since both experiences were "to go" I ran in and quickly ordered and the wait wasn't bad at all. There always seemed to be foot traffic in and out but things moved along well. The staff was very friendly (just a few people probably owners). They sell bags of homemade granola that are delicious!
