Thank god for Yelp because we never would have found Cofftea. We would have ended up at one of those generic coffee shops or worst...Starbucks! Note, this shop is a while in the wall, there isn't really much seating and you might miss it because it's a bit dinky...but aren't all dinky things hip now?

My friend and I were originally seated at the bar, a bit cramped due to our large carrying bags, but luckily a high table opened up and we moved there. We ordered the following: - Blackbeard Secret (Coca-Cola with a shot of espresso) $40 - Definitely not what I expected at all. Interesting combination, but not particularly fond of it. - Rose Latte $45 - Best I've tasted in HK! Very delicate and delicious! You can taste the rose flavor, which I enjoyed very much. I suppose you can say I'm going through a rose-flavor phase, from my previous review, haha. - Orange Caramel Mocha $45- I was concerned that the caramel would make it too sweet, but it was just right. I love the combination of anything with orange and chocolate, so this was right up my alley. - Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting - absolutely divine. - Almond croissant - sublime. The food was served on a cute wooden board. The almond croissant was warmed up, perfect. Overall a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy some delicious coffee and treats!

My rating is based on the following: Coffee: 1.5 stars Environment: 3 stars The cappuccino had no foam what so ever and even with the milk the bitterness of the coffee really cut through. The coffee is strong so if you need a pick me up this would do. Using Starbucks as a baseline for average. This coffee is below that standard. The latte wasn't much better. The coffee was really bitter and you don't get any silky smoothness from the milk. Had a hard time finishing my drink. I drink black espresso all the time so it is not because I'm not used to drinking stronger coffee that my opinion is this way. The decoration of the place is cool, but the place is really cramped. They also only have high chairs with small tables. Sitting there for more than a few minutes was not enjoyable. There are so many better coffee choices in Wan Chai.

Only a stone's throw away from the Olympia Station, this place is so small that it's easy to miss. For folks looking for a quiet place to chat or some caffeine with a side of WiFi, this place fits the bill. Bear in mind, The Brew Job is no Starbucks. There is no indie music or up and coming artists playing in the background, or a fancy gift card for future purposes. The layout is narrow with super small tables and an even smaller tiny counter. Conversations are bound to be overheard, the smell of the coffee will permeate the room, and patrons are typically in and out constantly. Thankfully the staff is both efficient and friendly. It's a cash only operation, but it's nice knowing they also take Octopus cards. While the cappuccino and ice coffee are my go-tos (under $40), the real motivation for being here is their reasonably fast WiFI and solid, intimate meeting space. There is a parking garage across the street and some bicycle parking areas for commuters. Don't come here in a group of course, but for solo sipping and/or some intimate conversation, this is a quality neighborhood spot.
