Brew Bros Coffee is laid back and chill. The cafe itself is small but you kind of expected that while in Hong Kong. Melbourne Style coffee which was quite good. But pricey as it is. I come here occasionally for my coffee or lunch both of which I am very happy about. They do not disappoint! It reminds me of cafes in Auckland. Firstly, the service is great and the people are welcoming. Like most cafes, the seating is a little tight but its minimalistic decor makes it feel a tad more spacious and comforting. Coffee is my morning, without it, I cannot function. Thankfully I love the smell and Brew Bros makes waiting for my little cup of happiness all that more enjoyable. Secondly, the food is pretty damn good. I got the All day breakfast for lunch and the eggs were so perfect. Made me feel as if I was awake and ready to carry on my day. Their hot chocolate isn't too sweet and they spend the time to draw pictures on top which really made my day. The dessert at this bar caught me by surprise. I got the green tea pancake and green tea pound cake and they were both beautifully presented. It's definitely restaurant quality in terms of presentation. As for the flavour, I prefer the green tea pound cake over the pancake. As for their coffee, I tried the flat white and latte and it was just alright. There were too many milk bubbles in my latte. read more

Overall expensive, mediocre and unfriendly. The service was unpleasant. No hello, no attempt to seat me down and when I ordered I was was told to stand next to the exit door. I received my iced latte after 4 people that were seated after me. Iced latte was not full to the top and I finished it in literally 4 sips I don't know if it was because I'm in my 20's or wherever it was because I had a (non traveler's) backpack on, but I was not treated nicely. Like other western coffee places abundant in the city this place is over priced - $14 USD for an avocado toast... I've also ordered an eggs Benedict with smoked salmon that was really only okay. Scrambled eggs toast were bland and were unsalted. The place had a cool look and they have cold brew They don't accept credit cards. Coffee shop tucked away in Sheung Wan. Service: I've been here on a weekend to catch up with friends and on a weekday for a meeting. Even though it was a weekend, they did not press us to hurry and finish our drink and leave, as some other places have done. For the weekday, it was pleasant. Good service. Didn't rush us out as we were finishing up our meeting around 6pm when they close. Even refilled our water. Friendly staff. During the time we were there, for about an hour they refilled our waters a couple times as well. The Coffee: I ordered a flat white and really liked it. Very good coffee flavor. Currently craving it as I type. I'm a fan and may be one of my new favorite spots. The second weekday visit cemented that. :D read more

Brew Bros is one of a number of coffee shops situated on or just off Jervois Street. The best thing about Brew Bros is the open front to the coffee shop which features a counter with a few bar stools looking straight onto the street. If there was ever a spot to perch and watch the world go by, it would be here. Further inside is the open kitchen/brew bar with a number of smaller tables alongside. Sadly, one of the downsides for me about Brew Bros can be the coffee itself. The Macchiato always features a bit too much milk for me. This said, the brewed coffee made with beans sourced from Australia is always good. Opting for this would be my recommendation. On the side, Brew Bros offers a range of all day breakfast options as well as a few sweeter treats, with the Banana Bread is my favorite so far. Brew Bros is an extremely convenient option for me as it is on my route to work. However, I think that I would make a detour to come here occasionally even if that were not the case because it is a really nice spot to grab a drink or a snack - you will probably find me perched rather inelegantly at the bar counter out front. read more

Small and quaint little cafe which reminds me of those little cafes in Melbourne! Coincidentally, that is exactly where the owners are from! Great selection of artisan coffee (do try out their filtered coffee which is brewed with lots of love and care). We had the meat lover's breakfast and poached eggs with salmon on toast. My favourite of all the coffee places I've visited in HK - the coffee is rich, smooth and right up my street (literally). Located on Hillier St near a few other hipstery eateries, it can be missed (look for the coffee-cup logo!). I usually get the flat white which is just under 40 HKD. As I find myself doing for great coffee places in general though, I have to caveat this review with the fact that service is really just non-existent. The staff dismissed me as soon as I ordered my coffee and refused to acknowledge me afterwards when I was asking for the wifi password. A little smile and thank you go a long way. I really hope they can improve on their coffee-making because the place is so nice and cozy, the staff is very friendly, and the food smells very good. Coffee wasn't the worst I've had but was bitter and overextracted. The muesli also inexplicably was tipped with parsley, which I felt a bit awkward about taking off before I ate until I saw others around me had done the same. after spending a couple weeks in Asia - my sister and i were craving some avo toast. they definitely did the job, it was a good portion - considering the price. you are overpaying and it is comparable to prices in North America, it's just expected. they're coffee was good but it was a very small cup, wouldn't rather gone elsewhere. service was minimal, had to repeat myself several times to her, perhaps she couldn't pick up my English. wouldn't not recommend it but it was just okay. read more
