Couldn't have been easier if the barista was more attentive by greeting and waiting for people to come up to order? Anyways, we grabbed the menu and decided to get some drinks as a break from walking. Since it was hot, I got an iced mocha. And honestly, nothing special. It was just satisfying to drink something sweet and cold. Hype? Maybe. Would I come back here again? Maybe if I was desperate enough to sit at a minimal looking spot and try another drink.

It's weirdly hidden, inside of another business (not telling), on the second floor of a random building (also not telling). The hours are not posted, and I assume are made up depending on how folks feel. Only one of two elevators in the building actually stops on this floor, and you get to figure out which one (still not telling). The door guy, lies to you, and tells you that there is no cafe at all. It's classic, legit, wonderful, slightly crazy, but still delightful Hong Kong. And, when you finally figure out where it is, and manage to make it there, you're rewarded with amazing coffee, and beautiful late art. You're still in Wan Chai, but life is suddenly better. I had the Zambra house coffee, which was a Costa Rican blend. Really exceptional. It was hand poured and that really makes the difference. Beans and brew was fresh fresh fresh. They have counter seats for about 12 people. And again, it is only coffee. We had coffee and purchased some fruit and baked goods from the grocery and enjoyed all together while perched on their counter. They do have a frequent coffee punch card too. It is really nicely designed and looks a bit different than many other specialty coffee places. They offer a range of handbrewed coffees from different roasters (when I was there they had coffee from Copenhagen based April roasters as well as the Tokyo outpost of Norwegian Fuglen) as well as a nice selection of teas and espresso based beverages. Service is fast and friendly, they can make both good espressos and filter coffees so one of several good coffee options in the central area of Hong Kong. The price level is the same as in most specialty coffee places in town so not really cheap but I would rather pay a bit more and get good quality.

They give you a buzzer that beeps when ur food is ready for pick up- my pancakes took around 20 min, as there was a group of 5 in front of me.
