We came too lateeeee, but they have already warned us about mochi being sold out. So I would suggest getting there early if you want the mochi. Overall the service was great, I just wouldn't get the ice dessert anymore. But if you do get it, I suggest to get just the matcha version. The green tea matcha noodle was superb tho. It was a great Japan experience especially since I've never been to Japan. I subtracted a star cus this place was HARD TO FIND, it's inside the mall but you have to somehow go all the way up go across a parking lot to get in another door. Tbh I wouldn't be back and would wait till I have a chance to go Japan to try out their mochi.

    Matcha parfait

Came here on a weekday afternoon with no wait and there were only about 4 other tables occupied at the time. I ordered the matcha parfait which tasted just heavenly. It was beautifully presented and was especially interesting looking at the different layers that make up the parfait. My friend ordered the sencha tea set. The taste was a bit too strong for my preference. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would recommend

    Matcha & Hojicha soft serve
    Misa L.

If you're a big fan of matcha, they definitely do matcha soft serve right! I got the matcha and hojicha soft serve on a cone and it was delicious! The flavors were prominent and loved the little toppings they add which complimented the flavors so well. It is a little on the pricier end, but well worth it for a treat!

Are my friends in the states reading this? Yes, you read that right, Tin Kuan yim Soft served Ice cream. It was every single drip of ice cream you dream of! it was so tea-ish! Nice, Ten Ren Tea Station basically for Hong Kong, dubbed as 天仁喫茶趣. Based on multiple visits in the…read morelast 2+ years (plus having had Ten Ren drinks in Taipei) I have to say this location comes pretty darn close. Comparing Ten Ren tea drinks in Northern (and Southern) California to this Hong Kong location: Prices in Hong Kong are dirt cheap in comparison, nothing really above US$2 on average. Quality is easily x2 to x3 than that in NorCal (and quite possibly SoCal) Thus we pay x2 to x3 as much at 1/2 to 1/3 of the quality, bottom line. Employees are very efficient. A ten minute wait for a drink after paying, is considered a hellish wait even if the line seems long. Even if one of the employees is slacking off, he or she is washing/rinsing cups or blender vats in one hand, and surfing social media/checking texts with the other. Multi-task slacking and getting drinks out the door. And some of you out there have no qualms about 1.5 hour wait for ramen (or a food truck), or 45 minutes for a watered down tapioca milk tea drink. Sigh. This Ten Ren also has a limited selection of imported Taiwanese tea, tea snacks. Octopus (MTR/subway/public transportation) cards accepted for payment (stored value card). You can sip on your drink while browsing books and magazines in Eslite bookstore. Honey green tea, some matcha based drinks, even a classic like Chrysanthemum Pu-Er, are all very good. Honey green tea, even if semi diluted, is still better than the crap in the States....the Wattes....(like Lattes in coffee shops, except Watte is water with a shot of tea). What more can you ask for?

It was dead empty except for two other tables (one with two tourists and the other with a local man...I assume). Two other tourists sat down during my brunch but read the menu and left. I ordered the waffles with ham and it came with a side salad. The food was OK. It was an HK take on western food and the waffles came plain with no topping so it was a little bit dry for my North American palette. Towards the end of my meal I discovered a live slug in my salad. I flagged the waitress to ask for the bill (because I was NOT going to continue eating) and showed her the slug. She said "oh sorry" but that was about it. She did not offer any kind of compensation and brought me the full bill with no further explanation or apology for the slug. It was like it didn't happen. As mentioned before this place was empty for brunch. However, in the late, late afternoon/early evenings I noticed it would be packed. Perhaps this place is better for coffee and dessert. One other thing to mention is they have free wifi but when you ask for the password they won't give it to you. They will insist they enter it on your phone themselves. I don't generally like strangers touching my phone because I don't know what they may do. I guess they have never thought of changing the wifi password daily... Tip: Don't sit next to the plants. It's fruit fly city.

Don't let the giant queue scare you, and yes there is almost always a queue. Despite that, it moves fairly fast. Its definitely not a place where you sit and chat with your friends. They expect you to sit down, order right away, eat it, and leave right away. But I guess many popular places are like that around Hong Kong.. Seating-wise its very cramp here. You'll be sitting basically elbow to elbow with strangers next and behind you. But that doesn't matter because their desserts are so wonderful! Some of my favorites are the tong yuen (glutinous rice balls) that come come with peanut sauce. The one that comes in the ginger soup is good too (for this dish, the balls have fillings inside, such as sesame or peanut sauce). Another good one is their sorbets, which are perfect for a hot day.

Heyyyy, do you like durian? Or even want to give it a shot despite the crazy smell it may emit or…read morethe odd taste it might exude? I believe one of the ways to try durian without having to be afraid of it is by tasting it through the various dessert dishes here at this cute little place. Having no idea that this place existed, I was pretty thankful to my new local friend who suggested this place. It's located in a small little street, similar to an alley way, and by the time you get near it, you'll definitely see a long line of people waiting to get in. The wait itself isn't that bad. Most people just come here to eat dessert and leave right after. Once seated, my friends and I spent some time browsing through the extensive dessert menu and settled on trying the durian with crystal seeds (one of the many popular dishes) and watermelon and lychee with crystal seeds. In summary, the watermelon and lychee were ok. The watermelon ended up being too watery for my taste and the lychee wasn't too memorable. Both tasted decent but definitely not a must try. For the durian, this was surprisingly good! I am normally not a durian fan (the stench gets to me sometime) but here, you couldn't really smell too much of the durian in the dish. The taste of durian was also soften quite a bit, making this dish a bit more doable for those who do not like durian. I found this dish to be pretty tasty and not too sweet and it was unique to eat it with the crystal seeds. Overall, this is a great spot to stop by for desserts. If you're not a fan of durian but can tolerate the smell of it wafting through the restaurant, this place is great to try other HK desserts at an affordable price.
