Iced oat latte and cold brew
Sophie L.

Expensive, but good coffee. It was nice to stop by once to give it a try, but I ended up going to Pacific Coffee for my daily oat milk latte. The cold brew is also delicious, so give that a try as well. The ambiance is great, not to noisy, so you can get some work done.

Manuka coffee

Nice cafe. Unique coffee kind such as Manuka coffee (latte with new Zeland honey). I love to try their golden potato ginger flat white cafe. Interesting concepts. Did not have any food, but they offer simple menu of salad, pizza, pancakes and lots of wonderful tarts such as fruit tart, carrot cake and lots of others. My favorite stop over cafe to go to in Hong Kong.

Another one of the top dogs in the third wave coffee industry in HK. These guys are perhaps on another level in terms of providing a link between caffeine with chemistry. My visit here showed exactly that. Pros: Upon walking into the store, you automatically know that their coffee is going to be very unique. The store lay out is very sleek. Bikes hanging in different parts of the store from the ceiling. Different table setup throughout the different areas of the store. Cool wall decor from explanation of the alchemy of coffee to their roasting process explanation through the different cracks of the beans. Its a combination of a lab like environment to a fancy restaurant. The coffee bar itself is very well-structured as well. Featuring a massive Strada espresso machine, to their cold brew towers containing various single origin varietals, to their Alpha Dominche immersion brewer (plus one star for that automatically as so far they are the only coffee shops in HK to host this machine that I've seen). This place has so many cool coffee toys that any coffee geek would be compulse to make a visit. The coffee was pretty awesome. We got an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe cold brew, and also a Manuka (a small latte sweeten with simple syrup). Both have great taste, great flavor and aroma. The presentation was also very fancy with both beverages. Cons: I feel like the store itself is already a wealth of knowledge with a plethora of explanations on their walls and teachings of coffee brewing methods. Its perhaps a little TOO intimidating for an average person who perhaps is not looking for an academics in coffee but rather just a place to sit and relax. The barista who served us was very nice and answered many of our questions, but didn't really give too much suggestions of what to order (perhaps she's new). Really pricey.. 82 dollars for a Yirgacheffe Kyoto. I wasn't sure how small or large it was as the drink was served in a huge wine glass. The presentation was very cool, there's no denying that, and perhaps I'm just not used to price of coffee here yet.. but 82 is pretty insane still for any coffee not named Geisha, Blue Mountain, or Luwak. Overall, I will definitely make a visit to their different branches as I hear other shops have specialize cupping sections and also roasting facilities. As a coffee geek, Coffee Academics is definitely a must go to spot!

Birchler Müsli is awesome! Iced latte is really good to!

Service is quick and friendly. The pancakes I wanted had been out so I took the Bircher muesli, which was great. The coffee is good too! The prices are okay for Hong Kong.

So I come back for lunch after the last Yelp coffee tasting event held here...With work to do after lunch me and my colleagues could not afford a longer lunch to enjoy the specialty coffee but did enjoyed a relaxing lunch. With the spacious setting, the french window and the Nordic loft feeling, we almost forgot that we have to go back to work and that the gossiping could go on forever...So the lunch set is great. The all day breakfast was lovely. The pizza which my colleague has ordered seems good too. Also, the flat white came with the set lunch is very creamy and aromatic too.

Awesome coffee quote on a pillow case

The acai bowl was literally the worst (small, Icy, pricy) I've ever had. Avocado toast was good.

The two photos are from different trips, but I have tried a few things here. I have had the tomato beef macaroni, curry fish balls, French toast, and pineapple butter buns. Everything was amazing, and I think their tomato beef macaroni is my favorite here. Their Hong Kong milk tea is also perfect with just the right amount of sweetness. It is not too bitter or too sweet, just perfect (I like sweet things but not too sweet). The restaurant is a bit tight, but they do offer takeout. Even when it gets busy, customers are usually friendly and quick, especially if they see a long line and they are finishing up soon.

Very long lines here for the breakfast rush (20min wait), but indicative of the food quality (so so…read moregood and worth the wait). There's only about 20 seats, most of which are either bar seating or tiny tables), and it's incredibly cramped, but there's a quick turnaround. You can order to go for a faster line too. We ordered the milk tea, satay beef sandwich, bbq pork macaroni soup, truffle egg sandwich, and egg pineapple bao. The sandwiches were decidedly average, but we really enjoyed the egg pineapple bun! And you definitely need to get the milk tea here. The hot one is smaller and comes with condensed milk, while the cold version is larger but comes without condensed milk. Both are extremely concentrated, but delicious. If you're sensitive to caffeine though, it'll keep you up. Best of all, everything was so cheap - 160 HKD (about $20 USD). Highly recommend checking this place out!

The coffee here is pretty good, especially considering the location. The price is also a really good deal for Hong Kong. Lattes and cappuccinos here are only 25 hkd. Next time I'm at discovery park I will definitely come back here for a cup of coffee.

One of the best coffee shops in HK Island. Assuming you are in it for things like espressos,…read morecappuccinos, flat whites, etc. The coffee is great, the late art is great, the barista is super friendly. That, and unlike Omotesando, this is a proper, legit, HK style shop. It's hard to find. It's weirdly hidden, inside of another business (not telling), on the second floor of a random building (also not telling). The hours are not posted, and I assume are made up depending on how folks feel. Only one of two elevators in the building actually stops on this floor, and you get to figure out which one (still not telling). The door guy, lies to you, and tells you that there is no cafe at all. It's classic, legit, wonderful, slightly crazy, but still delightful Hong Kong. And, when you finally figure out where it is, and manage to make it there, you're rewarded with amazing coffee, and beautiful late art. You're still in Wan Chai, but life is suddenly better. Good luck, be brave, before they relocate.
