Th sandwiches weren't unreasonably priced as far as airport terminal prices are concerned. The turkey and cheese on sourdough didn't skimp on the meat and the lettuce was fresh. It definitely beat another burger or less healthy option in the airport and there was plenty of clean seating available.

Waiting on my flight I stopped at The Riverbend for a quick bit to eat. The menu seems to have changed from other pictures I've seen on yelp, but I forgot to take a pic of that. The staff was very kind and the dining area was super clean! The food came out really fast and it was very tasty! Recommend you stop here if your coming through and have time for a quick meal, they have an online preorder and to go boxes for those pressed for time!

Not my norm for reviewing airport restaurants but I'm sitting here with time to kill and thought I would. It's early in the morning in Springfield Missouri, they got breakfast. I will let you know that the airport is pretty quiet and the lines are short. The staff is friendly and actually called me over to the second register with limited wait time. Apparently they just started this menu yesterday so they weren't able to comment on how good the food was or if it was anything they recommend. It probably took about five or six minutes to get the order. I got some chicken biscuit thing. I have to say, it's actually pretty darn good for airport food. I could see them selling this in a restaurant. Granted there's a little bit of a markup, but it's pretty solid for airport food. I don't know what menu they were using before, but I have a feeling that this is a pretty good upgrade from what they had before based on previous reviews. I'm glad I stopped here to eat since it's going to be a long flight and day of travel. Good food, I would suggest eating here if you're on the fence if you should eat at the airport or not.

Took about 30 mins to recieve our two sandwiches. I got the sunrise sandwich thats was actually very good! But when most people are in a time crunch, I'm sure this would be frustrating.

Captive audience; they don't try very hard. Veggie burger took 15 min to come out. This is an airport, not a restaurant. Come on. When it did finally come out, it was a spicy mayo burger. Had to wipe a ton of this off. Fries were dumped from the bottom of the crumb bin into my plate. Sad. Dirty seating at the individual seat bar area. The grime was disgusting. McAllisters employees manning this place. I asked a guy in a McAllister shirt why the menu on this side of security was different than the front side of security. He said, "I dunno, I only work on this side." Was asking because the sandwich menu is missing 5-6 choices... which I didn't know...until I was past security.

I'm really not sure where to start with this review. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all. I saw…read morephotos of the food on Yelp and thought this might be a good dive or greasy spoon style diner to have lunch at with my husband, since I was in the area. We met there and the outside aesthetic alone should've warned us off. To start, the exterior of the building was quite worn down, the windows were dark and dirty, and the sign was broken. If it weren't for the cars parked outside and for the fact that I called ahead to ensure they were open, we would've thought they were closed for business, permanently. We enter the building lobby, for lack of a better word, and proceed into the dining room. The first step into the dining room was me stepping into a literal hole that is covered with a rubber mat. That's a definite hazard. I couldn't believe that they'd just cover it with a mat. That's really dangerous. At that point, I was really starting to rethink staying. We walk further in and there is this atrocious, sour, vomit-inducing stench that billows throughout the room. It slaps you in the face and takes your breath away, and it's covered by a very strong pine smell. Again, I'm contemplating leaving but my husband didn't want to make a scene. The place is FILTHY! And I don't mean filthy as in someone spilled food and didn't clean it up. I'm talking decades of grease, dirt, bacteria, etc. covering the floor and furniture. You could take a putty knife and chisel up layers of gunk from the floor. There was even a sign that said something like- "Wipe tables down each night- Alli". I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist. If you have to tell your staff that.... ugh... We get to the table and I didn't even want to touch the chair to sit, let alone stay there and eat, but I didn't want to leave right after we entered the place. I was hoping (praying) the food would be worth it... The waitress comes over to take our drink order and brings the drinks back pretty quickly. The cup felt like it hadn't been washed, ever... It had a layer of grime on the outside. Say you cooked something greasy at home and let the greasy dish soak in the sink for a day, but a cup fell into the pan and soaked with it overnight. When you pick it up the next day and the grease is stuck to the side of it- that's what it felt like. I would've asked for a new cup, but I knew in my gut that the next one wouldn't be any better. It's like they run their dishes through a dishwasher that only has cold water and no hot water. Bleh. They take our food order and I'm quite literally praying that we don't get sick from eating here. Why I stayed, I have no idea. I guess I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. The waitresses seemed like they had their own issues and I didn't want to add to it. The food comes out and and it's time to eat. My burger was ok at first, clearly a frozen patty but I'm giving it a shot. Then I taste something off and stop eating it. My fries... I just can't even... a few of them were ok, but then I got to some that tasted like they had been fried in a deep fryer that had been used for years without being cleaned or having the grease replaced. My burger also tasted like it was cooked on a filthy grill. My husband couldn't stomach the place and only ate the things on his plate that he thought couldn't make him sick. We got the ticket, paid, and left as quickly as we could without being too obvious or rude. It's a little restaurant that is clearly struggling. This place was beyond 'dive' or 'greasy spoon' status. There's no possible way that this restaurant is safe to eat at. I honestly don't know how they ever pass the health inspection. The level of dirty here is not something that can be cleaned up the day before inspection day, just to get this dirty again between inspections. It must never, ever, be cleaned, or the inspector is blind, literally. As you can guess, we will never be eating here again and I don't recommend that you do either.

The packaged West Creek ranch is one of the best packaged ranches I've had anywhere... We hit the drive through so I can't really comment on the service. The tenderloin... This "tenderloin" was reminiscent of a mouthful of sawdust and whatever ketchup they use is overly sweet. It was just off right out of the gate. I'm a holy trinity guy! Onions, pickles, and mustard only. My girlfriend didn't mind it... I was going to throw it in the trash after the second bite. She's a little weird though anyway.... She eats mayo even on a good tenderloin. Clearly a fritter rather than a tenderloin, but the menu does list it as a tenderloin. Try this "tenderloin" at your own risk. But I warned you... The menu is extensive. If I was in the area I'd hit a Beef-A-Roo again and try more of their other items.

My bartender, Valerie, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Since I'm not a local, it was really nice to have such an easy and genuine conversation while dining. She made me feel comfortable right away and took great care of me throughout the evening. She made me an Old Fashioned and a Berry Cosmo, and both were excellent. For food, I ordered the 21-day aged T-bone steak and the crab cakes, and everything was delicious. The restaurant also has a really nice atmosphere and décor, which made the whole experience even better. Great service, great drinks, and great food. If you come here, definitely sit at the bar and ask for Valerie.

Filet Medallions - pretty good Sides - we had 'fried potato medallions' - they were great! BUT now that I look at the menu I have no idea what this would have been. The space itself seems large enough to host several large parties, and there are some TVs for sporting events as well, but it must not be very popular. The server came up an ass what we wanted to order and we told him we already had dinner and only wanted one more drink. Once we ordered our cocktail flight, we were anticipating to receive a flight meant for one person... similar to a beer flight. Especially because I told the server I was in between one specific drink or getting a flight as well. Needless to say, we were very surprised when each of us received 4 full-sized drinks. This looks great if you want to drink heavily, but we told the server we did not want more than one drink, so I would have expected him to call this out when we ordered. Even if we wanted to get tipsy, all the drinks from each of the flights tasted very watered down and with little alcohol. Receiving the bill for $55 afterwards for what should have been two drinks, was wild. I mentioned this to the server at the end once more and he just turned around and walked away without any care.
