Instead, I bought a bag of Tim's Cascade Secret Sauce Potato Chips. I was shocked when the total came out to almost $9. It was definitely pricey, but I'd never had those chips before, and they were so good. I haven't been able to find them anywhere back home in Los Angeles.

Even when the drive-thru line stretches out to the street, it moves quickly because the team takes orders in the parking lot before you reach the window during busy times. I love their seasonal drinks, and the coffee is wonderful. The food is good too, and it always feels good to support a local business. The shop also has a great view of Mount Si, and the indoor space makes it a nice spot for a coffee meeting.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more We stopped at Huxdotter Coffee in North Bend on Friday and ordered a 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, a 16 oz Mango Smoothie, and a ham and cheese croissant through the drive-through. At the window, we received the croissant and the 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, but were handed a 12 oz Mango Smoothie. We immediately pointed out that the drink was the wrong size. Rather than simply acknowledging the mistake and correcting the order, the employee told us that the order had been entered as a 12 oz drink. We reiterated that we had specifically ordered a 16 oz Mango Smoothie. Instead of saying something as simple as, "I'm sorry, we'll remake that for you," we were told that she would have to refund the original charge and then charge us again for the 16 oz drink. Seriously? Apparently, Huxdotter has developed an innovative new approach to customer service: If we make a mistake, the customer gets to fix it. The mistake wasn't ours. We ordered a 16 oz drink, and the employee or the person taking the order entered it incorrectly. Yet instead of taking responsibility for the error and providing the customer service one would reasonably expect, we were essentially given a bureaucratic explanation of why correcting their mistake was going to require additional transactions. We were on our way to an appointment and didn't have time to wait around sorting out an issue that should have taken less than a minute to resolve. We simply said, "Never mind," and left. What is especially disappointing is that this wasn't about the cost of a smoothie. It was about how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen. Good businesses acknowledge them, apologize, and make them right. Telling the customer that they have to go through a refund and repurchase process because the business entered the order incorrectly is simply poor customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left such a bad impression that we won't be going back. There are plenty of coffee shops willing to treat their customers better.

The brioche bun was toasted perfectly and the creamy texture of the avocado paired well with the egg. The yolk was still runny (how I like it) and made it a little messy, but no complaints here. I would get add the ham next time to give it a bit of a savory taste to the sandwich. Love this place and it had a large area to work if you needed to it just relax and read a book or chat with friends. There is a shuffleboard available for use if you're feeling a little competitive. It was smooth and not overly sweet. The cafe seems to have a decent selection of coffee and espresso drinks and hotel guests can get complimentary black coffee. Based on the photo of the menu I took, it appears you can also order cocktails.. Staff were helpful and friendly and while prices were about what you would expect for a boutique hotel cafe, I paid for my matcha without much of a second thought. All in all, Iconoclast is a great spot for guests and non guests alike to grab a drink, browse the shop, or just hang out and enjoy the modern yet cozy atmosphere.
